Thanks for being here! Hope you enjoyed this video and it scratched an itch you were looking for when you opened the UA-cam app. That's what I like to watch and live for! But I wanted to share.. because it truly made my day. My good friend from my hometown named Jon posted a photo in the Carmaspeed Community that brought me more joy than even posting this video. It was his son at the car wash, washing one of his dream cars with a passionate caption. This whole new paid "community" is something new and you might be resistant to it, but it's a non-toxic place with no walls to be social about your passion for cars. We have just launched this and I am not asking for you to join right now, but simply take a look at this page that explains the vision and what it's about. I’ve owned a 2017 ST1 and my current car 2017 RS2. Can’t comment on the WRX. I still miss my ST a lot. Wish I could have kept my ST when I bought the RS . It’s a hard pick but probably would choose the RS. Both of my cars were white. Nitrous blue is tough to find with the RS2 trim level, headgasket recall completed, decent mileage, and all stock. Ended up settling for a white one that met all the criteria I was looking for. No regrets.
ST def gets way too much spotlight taken from it because of the RS phenomena. Makes sense but a lot of ST owners would be happy with their purchase more after realizing they have just as good of a machine for a lot less money. I'll make a video about this down the road
Yes please make that comparison video I have an ST and I was so stoked on getting the RS but after I installed the LSD it was a game changer ! My old Nissan SpecV came stock with an LSD so I found that I can not live W/O an LSD especially on the slippery Boat launch ramp with my Zodiac !!
Nice! I had an ST a while back. Currently WRX. As far as comfort and more of a cockpit feel, more space, ST takes the cake. All day!!! Which feels more robust, smoother, less tacky? ST. ALL DAY! Wrx feels cheap and clunky. Can only imagine how an RS compares

I just recently got rid of my sti. Between that and a evo have always been my dream car. After owning it for a couple years the motor blowing in it and the extreme amount of money it takes to make them fast. I traded her in for the Veloster N. I have test driven the focus st and it was ok can't say anything for the RS since I've never been in one. Yet my all time favorite is that Mazdaspeed 3 you have parked in the garage. I regret getting rid of mine. Times were tough and I didn't have a choice. Would take another one in a heart beat! Love the channel keep doing what you do. Your a huge inspiration.

I often think of letting the ST go. Even came close to letting my dad trade it in and take over his 21 5.0 but in the end i see vids like this and stay lovin my 15 ST. Haven’t reached 70K miles yet loving that car.
Would love to see a video of your thoughts on the ST vs RS. And if the RS is worth the upgrade if your coming from a big turbo ST. Super dope video !

if you want a free way to gain some more cooling the right side of the intercooler on the focus rs has a cover on it for colder states, you can take that off, being in az we don’t really have to worry abt the car being too cold, it’s just taped on with double sided tape
Currently got the 2017 st2. Never loved a car more in my life. One day I'd love to own a RS but honestly, for the $ the ST is a great ride and can be awesome fun 😊 absolutely love the coverage you are giving these cars ❤️

The cars i had was the mazdaspeed3 which I sold to Cameron for his very first car give away. Not gunna lie it was a very fun car an i miss it. Then i got myself into a 2015 Focus ST. Had my fun with that and now i own a 2019 Civic Type R. Gotta say the FK8 is a blast to drive.
I own a 2016 ST3 and all I gotta say is when I’m driving it on the right back road, there’s nothing else I’d rather be driving

I've owned a '13 ST1, '16 RS2, and my now '14 ST1. I loved my first ST and regretted selling it to buy an RS. Ended up selling it and buying another ST and I absolutely love it
I’ve had a 2015 ST2 and it was a great car. Super fun to drive. I now have a 2017 RS2 Stealth Grey and I love it. I would have to pick the RS personally

The sti is out I like reliability and I love the st but the RS is basically an AWD ST and reliable sti put together so I’d go with the RS

For more reliable power mods I would go ST but if I was only going FBO it would be the RS. The STI is still a solid choice tho
Owned a ‘16 STI and current car is 2007 350z. Living in the PNW makes the Z harder to drive, but definitely wouldn’t pick up another Subaru with how easy the break. Future car will probably be a RS or an Audi.

I’d take an RS all day. I had a 2018 st1, full bolt on, tuned. It was really fun. I’d rather have the RS though for the awd fun factor in the snow.

I probably take the Focus RS for the simple fact that I've wanted one since it came out in 2015 and if I couldn't afford one I probably wouldn't go with the focus ST which is weird because my background is in focuses I've had focuses all my life since I got my license the weird thing is if I couldn't get the RS I wouldn't get the ST I would get the EcoBoost Mustang

I honestly prefer the ST over the RS for the variety in aftermarket parts. I've seen a lot more unique ST builds over RS builds. As clean as the RS is, I don't think I would trade up my ST. Now I just wish there was better support for the PFL as there is for the FL models.

After trying to buy an RS new back when they came out to owning an ST1 now that makes RS power for 120k miles, it's hard to compare. The ST is a street car that's quick, and RS is a track car in the skeem of things.
Living in Florida and the Cali mountains/desert with a truck and a car weather isn't an issue, but if I lived somewhere with noticeable seasonal snow and it was my only car the RS all day long.
The RS isn't worth the price of admission at the end of the day.

Its a huge toss up between the ST and the RS. I'm a huge hot hatch fanboy and those two have always been my favorites along with the FK8s.
get a ceramic coat. only rinses will be needed and it makes the car look amazing.

The rs for me to be fair both cars are great and I would love to own either one but for me the rs takes it over the wrx the st is also a great car the awd I’m the rs and wrx just pushes them a little ahead of the st
Dude love the si products. Do they have a shop down in cali or is it only local to AZ. And I’d pick the st. The st has the best motor out of the two and can handle power when you do supporting mods. But the rs has the tranny. But st all day

I had a 2018 ST1 for a number of years. Honestly was quite lame but I also own a 2005 STi, lightly modified so I feel like I was always comparing the ST to the STi and was never able to enjoy. I'm working on purchasing an RS as we speak so that basically gives my answer. Lol I still have my GD as well but she's got a lot of work I need to do so the RS will be a mostly stock, really fun daily.

ST, just as fast as an RS and the 2.0t is built stronger and can make more power, and more aftermarket turbo support.
Spot on.. Im leaning towards if you want a collector car get an RS as an investment. If you want to drive a car into the ground and have the best bang for the buck you just get an ST and install RS bumpers and wing.
I was looking at a red 2018 RS limited edition which was nice, came with LSD and all the factory upgrades in the interior....but couldn’t bring myself to spend $41k on a car with 20k/30k miles. The RS is a sweet car thou, can’t wait to get working on my 17’ ST again. Glad to see another focus on the channel.
The 2.0 block is stronger than the 2.3, but NOT the entire engine. A block is part of the engine, it isn't the entire engine. You can have a strong block and some other weaker component(s) like the crank, it dosen't make the entire engine stronger. Also, depending on the situation, strength of the block may not be as important as other factors.
Also, as easy as it is to say the ST is just as fast as the RS, it could be said the RS is faster. It just depends on what you're measuring. That said, by most measurements, the ST is slower than the RS, so without specifying in what measurement the ST is as fast as the RS, it's a bit of a misnomer.
