- After years of prototypes from Honda and its sister brand Mugen, Big red has finally shown off a bike labelled 2025 CR Electric in Osaka, Japan.
Based on the factory race bike that Trey Canard used in the All Japan championship finale, we take a close up look at the bike you should be able to buy soon.
tell me again how much I love the sound of a motorcycle at full rip as it split traffic next to my car door! Nothing beat going deaf for 30 minutes afterwards. the sound of Power!
For a person who rides for enjoyment and loves motocross bikes , this will be the ultimate purchase. I hope it's cheaper than the Stark and lighter in weight , good on you Honda for the option.
Enjoy my 2 stroke 500cc emissions
@@bjohnson1489 So do I! However, our track was closed due to noise. I'll ride an electric if that what is takes to go riding again. Riding is riding.
$10k would be perfect! I need it now!
Solid rundown of the E situation. Bravo.
Honda,Yamaha, Kawasaki and Suzuki futures are selling solid unbreakable Long range Air-Cooled XR type bikes. The Chinese own the new era.
My shopping list for 2025, the new DUC and this.
Good report! Hard to watch you being so out of shape though, do your heart, joints and family a solid and start exercising. 15 mins 5 days a week will do wonders :) then we will have you around longer for good reports like this 🎉

You have much truth in your words concerning MotoHead's health, however, UA-cam isn't the space to interject, what seems like false concern.
No chance for hydrogen combustion in dirt bikes. Fuel storage is not space efficient. Not to mention the pressures involved. Also the engine power is way down.

Remember petrol engines were the same in the beginning. Give it time, hydrogen engines are a very new thing. Once it has been refined, i reckon hydrogen has a chancr
Junk
more tracks near cities plz
I will never watch any race again if that will be the future.
Gas bikes are obsolete now, after riding my varg I can tell you that they feel so advanced over a gas bike that I don't think Internal combustion will be a thing in motocross soon . I love the sound of a vete full of 450s too but I much prefer riding a better bike
The end of motorsport as we know it .
What’s going to be interesting with the adoption of EV MX is the education of the technology along the way… Some fundamentally wrong statements / suggestions in this video - hydrogen? sodium? sending children to mines?
I would suggest putting the newspapers down and really reading up on the subject, for example like Hydrogen energy density. It’s an absolute non starter for motocross.
Also worth exploring NMC vs LFP battery chemistry regarding colbalt “issue”. LFP will be a real game changer for Tesla and the like.
Also worth noting last year CATL announced a 500 wh/kg battery. don’t be surprised if you see new Electric MX bikes in 5 years with batteries half the size & weight they are now…
Any videos or updates on this CATL battery?
Awesome video !!!
I'd get it if I could ride it anywhere, road included, my 1 acre between houses, track, local races. See if it truly opens more riding places.

I want!
What are the specs?
If there is an S model with lights and DOT tires to connect the trails they won’t be able to make enough!
Motocross wasn't ment to be easy!
Honda needs to get this s*** done double time!
The next chapter in motocross will be the bikes will be piloted by AI
Bring back the CR 500! Please!
This
And what for? Absolute pile of shit. They are good for straigh run a up a paddock and nothing else .
@@Ozfreerider_adventures apparently you have never rode one or it scared. Love my 97
@@bjohnson1489 ridden 4 of them over the years . If you like a 500 you’re lying to yourself .
The battery would not last in moto cross races no matter how fast it is....
Don't call it a cr you're disgracing the name electric junk
A cr is a two stroke red rocket, a 4 stroke honda is a xr and scott summers ever made a winner outta that pig.
This will be the death of motocross as a popular spectator sport. It's my prediction that spectators would eventually decline by upto 50%. The whole point of motorsport is to engage with the sound of the engine , the rev's and the gear changes e.t.c. Motocross moving towards electric bikes is an absolute tragedy. If the woke people of this world continue to get their way everything will be banned and we will all be forced to live our sports and hobbies through a playstation !!
Bla bla bla
Commenting about needing gas for a generator is the most pathetic jab at electric bikes , people think they are being smart by saying it because they think people buy these bikes to be "green" . Reality is no dirtbikes give a fuck about riding these to avoid gas usage , they ride them for the superior riding experience so find a better , more intelient way to have a jab at them. Oh and your gas bikes all have electric motors in them by the way
DONT CARE IF IT'S FASTER.
Junk. I'm never getting one.
Honda stopped developing the CRF four stroke for atleast 10 years now. They just let it stagnant and concentrated on a future electric bike.
Are you kidding?
Honda literally won everything in 2023.

The new bikes have launch control, traction control, adjustable mapping/ECU tuning, new intake port, new cam profile, updated throttle body diameter, and re-valve for the Showa suspension.
Maybe you were thinking Suzuki 👍🏻
They hired good riders.@@rico8089

You might be thinking of the XLs
Synthetic fuel can provide a future to gas bikes.
I would.
Maybe they can add an artificial sound device to mimic a gas engine exhaust - preferably 2 stroke
Lol you're so salty about electric bikes. It's not about going green, dude. It's about noise pollution and ultimately about going faster.
Thanks Biden!!!
I see a stark, i unfollow
No.
Gay.
lol…short…to the point.
Another manufacturer joing this Fad , when it finally happens then the sport will die a death , tho just like ev cars that are not selling world wide, they'll soon be another dinosaur ..
People in the 1800's: Horseless carriages? It's a fad.
Not sure why you think EV cars aren't selling. Get out of your state much?
Absolutely horrible
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 underneath Honda it says, made by Fisher-Price power wheels
Power Wheels by Mattel😅
Electric is here to stay!!!
