Nice review, happy to see more coverage on stability shoes. Just bought a pair of Arahi 5's for myself. Would love to see more stability shoe comparisons.
Wanted to get into running so I went to my local running store instead if defaulting to some Nikes. Apparently, I overpronate when I walk so they recommended these. I’m not a fan of the look as I’m pretty young and they look very dad-ish but they feel great and I’m gaining more endurance than ever.
Welcome to the running community!! Yeah this shoe is definitely not the best looking shoe out there on the market, but it definitely is comfortable and gets the job done! Happy that your experience in them has been good this far!
I have recently exchanged my Asics gt 1000 9 to the arahi 5: needed some time to get used to but now I love it. I have a wide forefoot, so it was even a bit too snug for me in the beginning (with altered lacing just perfect), a high arch and a relatively small ankle which usually makes it difficult to find running shoes that fit right. With the altered lacing the arahi 5 fits really nice and I think even my running form got better in them. I plan to use them also for the triathlon runs, so they will come in handy for my tired overpronating feet
Wow! Love the energy for shoes! I've been running since high school. I'm 57 and just now developed plantar fasciitis. Hoka is new to me. Thank you for knowledge and I will definitely look into these.
Happy to hear you enjoyed the review and found it helpful! Sorry to hear about the plantar fasciitis, but hope it goes away soon. Thank you for tuning in!
@@nobleboutin7808 Thank you for introducing the Hoka brand. I actually purchased the Clifton 8 due to me needing more Cushing. They feel amazing but test will be tomorrow if they're one's for me.
i wish i could get these but i got the arahi 4 instead because they were on sale. i like the arahis though because they really keep your body (legs/knees and ankles specifically) aligned properly with the stability sole which really helps fix any imbalance issue you may have.
I’m sure the 5 will go on sale at some point too so always time to grab a pair then! Until then I hope you enjoy the 4!! Glad you are feeling the benefits of it’s stability features!!
I have been running in the Brooks Adrenaline GTS for years (over-pronator with borderline narrow feet and flat feet, bunion on my right foot and mild planter fasciitis right foot). I run a 5k on the road 4 times per week. I am looking to try something different. I tried the Brooks Glycerin GTS 19. Maybe too much cushioning and not as much support as the Adrenaline GTS. Would the Hoka Arahi 5 be a good option?
Hey dude! I'm just new to your channel and I really love it! You really did convinced me yesterday to invest a new pair of shoe for my running, HAHAHA! Kinda excited to use it. God bless dude! 🙏🏾😃

Looking forward for more videos man! I just bought the Nike structure 23 because that's my budget told me to buy, HAHAHAHA! Based on your review, it will really serves me. Thank you noble boutin!
I am a size 10 on the Brannock device. Because of the big toebox in the Hoka I have to go to a 9 1/2. 9 1/2 feels good even though the 9 1/2 would be too small in any other shoe.
Oh that is good to know! I am thinking I would have done better going a 1/2 size down as well because of my narrow foot and the slightly wider toe box. Thank you for sharing man :)
Great review! Also so good to see you interacting and helping out your fans here in the comments too. I’m currently trying to choose between these and the Brooks GTS 21 - your feedback on these has been very helpful.
Really appreciate your kind words! I am grateful to everyone who watches the videos and LOVE to interact with you all! Can’t wait to hear about which one you go with! I don’t think you can really go wrong with either...as they both feel like pretty reliable daily trainers!
Hey dude, love your energy! I know this may have been asked already, but I lost my adrenaline gts 20. Honestly a perfect shoe for me. I've never tried Hoka One One but I've hear great things. Thoughts in the gts 21 vs. the hoka? I'd have to order them, the Brooks are ol' faithful but the Hoka One seems like an upgrade? Would love your thoughts!
I think you are totally right that the GTS 21 is pretty much ol faithful! Hoka does have some fun shoes out there that you might enjoy trying though! The Arahi and Bondi would be some you might like from Hoka. Thank you for tuning in and I hope this helps :)
I'm on the fence in regards to this shoe; I recently purchased the Adrenaline 21. My shoe budget can only handle so much. So if you had to choose between this shoe and the Adrenaline which one would you pick? Most likely I won't purchase it since there are other shoes coming on the horizon that I am more interested in (New Balance FuelCell Rebel V2). Thanks again for your review!
I think if you have the Adrenaline 21 and are enjoying it enough then you should stick with that. No need to fix something that isn't broken and seems like the NB Rebel v2 is calling your name! Thank you again for always tuning in :)
Thanks for your enthusiasm and review! I’ve been a brooks fan especially ghosts but I tried these on at the store and was in shock of how comfy and stable they are:) I’m excited to try something new. I hope they don’t flatten out over time. Do these compare well to brooks?
It’s always fun to switch up the model or brand of shoe that you use every now and then! I don’t think you’ll notice much flattening out of the midsole, as that eva seem to be dense enough not to “splat” out much in the Arahi. Quality is comparable to brooks, I find that most people think the upper mesh in more comfortable in a brooks shoe, but a Hoka midsole will usually win over more people because of how much cushion there is :) I hope this helps! Let me know if I can answer any more specific questions that you might have!
