Oh my gosh!!! I LOVE this, I’m going to the thrift store this week to find a jacket and am starting asap so it’s ready for spring weather! Thank you sooo much !!❤️🇨🇦❤️🇨🇦❤️🇨🇦
Genius Traci, have used sanding block on fabric for my junk journals but not that tool. What a brilliant idea for larger surfaces, same the idea to use the cutter to tear the heavy sewn edges. Will definitely use these techniques in my projects. You are right, the washing does the rest. Now that I am getting my head around making new garments from old, this tip is just incredible, must work great in t-shirt fabric, for garments and my journals! Thank you so much for the tip and inspiration, and the pearls scattered around, wow, this is a multi tutorial! Watching your videos is so inspiring, most grateful for sharing those tips in the videos. 💖💖💖💖💖💯
I love it. It looks so good on you. Beautiful. I have seen wire brushes used to distress jeans. The wine brushes are made to remove rust off of metal. Dental Floss is stronger than thread.
Turned out so fabulous! I've been meaning to do one of these using pearls and lace appliques. Upcycling a little girl's jean jacket right now! Thanks for everything Tracie! 😃🙏💜
Beautiful!! Thank you so much. I'm gathering a few items to start my wardrobe and I have found your designs inspiring. When I moved, almost a year ago, I left all but the basics (I had one box of clothes). The rest of the move I needed room for business (my office), and the health care items I've invested in over twenty years. Now, I'm working on a hand made upcycled 'capsule' style wardrobe. It is the first time I can choose whatever I want to wear. So it is daunting and exciting 🙂
I currently own several jean jackets, one dark, one light wash, one white. The first two are about 20 years old, but I won’t ditch them! I Amy have to embellish the light one after seeing this.
I love my Dremel! It really is a versatile machine. I love the beads on the sleeves too. I'd be tempted to sew a piece of lace over the back panel. With the jacket being so big on you, I feel like lace would be a subtle detail to add.
ICE saw that jacket on the show that Shakina was wearing. Went out and bought a jean jacket with more oversize sleeves this week and ordered the pearls from Amazon and I’m gonna do that exact thing. It is absolutely gorgeous and can’t wait to see my creation! Love your video!
And here we go😀. Another simple and beautiful up cycle …love it. You make fashion easy and fabulous. Love the idea of the Cordless Rotary Tool. I have one but never would have thought of using it in this manner. Genius. Thanks so much for sharing this wonderful idea. Never never disappointed.💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕
WOWEE Traci! This turned out awesome!!! Using a Dremel for distressing is brilliant! Pearls are my birthstone, so I'll send you my address for shipping, lol. 😂 😉 Beautiful job! Brenda ❄️
Such a privilege to see your endless creativity and the kindness to share your knowledge and experience in these diy tutorials. Your encouragement and enthusiasm and teaching style is most appreciated. Wonder if you have ever shopped poshmark….I have a pair of $5 oversized mens jeans on the way ( w $5 vintage sweater) destined with a date with scissors thanks to you! Find the clothing deals and bulk jewelry and baggy loose bead deals much more economical there ( flat rate shipping) …. Consider having a look to see ….. Appreciate you - more than words might say!
Cheap dental floss works well for sewing beads, buttons, and the like. Waxed floss has a tendency to unknot itself if not tied well though but pulls through the fabric easier. The floss takes a lot of pull to break and seems to hold up better than thread.
❤ Have missed a few of your videos due to work 😢 and a house move. A belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and the family Traci 😘 Can’t wait to get back on track and catch-up on your beautiful tutorials again. 😍 This is such a gorgeous idea love it ❤
Hi Traci, I am trying to recreate Shakina's jacket and I am having trying to sew the pearls on the sleeves. How did you do it? I have gotten down a few rows and can't figure it out. I would love your advise. Help!
Love the idea. I sorry but the bottom all torn up.. UHG... TOTAL OCD Moment !! Just needed to share lol I not think I am only one that knows panic. I do so love your work. HUGS

@@tmyershandmade978 there's kind of a reason why pearls and other dangaly bits were not put on sleeves much. They become a hazard and fall off easily. It's a interesting idea but it's been done time and again and never stuck due to impractically
Love jeans, love pearls, love your channel!!!!!!!!🙏🙌🙏
Awwww thank you 😘💕💕💕💕💕💕

This turned out so beautiful. You could also add lace in spots if the jacket had a flaw.
I love the idea of some little lace bits!
Very pretty Traci!

I can picture one of your sweet little "monsters" on the back of this jean jacket, Tracy 😊. Maybe with pearl sleeves on her shirt!! Happy Sunday!!❤
Love the way you think!😘💕💕💕💕
I wonder if my manicure machine can handle these holes? The holes with this processing method look so natural! Thank you, dear Tracy!❤❤❤❤❤

Jean jackets are still a thing? Huh Interesting. But foreseeable problem is the pearls will fall off under any kind of stress that jackets go through.
Sew them on tight!😊😊😊
