I really enjoyed this video. But I wouldn't mind you guys going a little bit more in depth ;) I would totally watch a 60 minute video of you guys working on these models.
KamuiCosplay Ihr könntet ja dennoch euer Material zusätzlich als "uncut" hochladen ;) Oder im Zeitraffer wie diese speed painting Videos. Ich fände das megageil!
KamuiCosplay it might take me pretty long to get it done, this is my first real build (unless you count gluing cardboard onto a gun and acting like it's one of Alucard's guns from Hellsing) oh, actually do you think you could do a build on one of those guns? That would be awesome!
I want to make this soooo bad, but I usually need really detailed instructions, I might try it however, probably won't make it look as good but whatever. It looks so well made and beautiful.
Awesome :) I just wanted to mention: Please, if you sand EVA foam, use a good (Not 99 cent) dust mask. I am sure KamuiCoslay knows this, this is for their audience that may not know, especially young people. I made my first weapon using EVA foam last week and I was really careful to do it in front of my dust extraction setup (Which I use when carving with power tools), but I realise 99.9% of people won't have this.
This is an awesome tutorial, thanks ^^ I'm want to make a Laser rifle from Fallout 4 and I want to make it out of EVA Foam so I can base it off of this tutorial here for the technical part :D
@kamuicoslay I love, love your videos! You're a big reason why I started making cosplay and UA-cam videos. I can't wait to add your newest book to my collection!
Thank you SO much for this. I finished my weapons collection of video game weapons (Overwatch, Titanfall & Battleground) now I have to choose on... oh no
looks like a "video game-ised" H&K MP7. the "strange bits" on top are called accessory rails. they are used to attach scopes, sights, lasers, etc. to modern guns.
Even though you make it look far easier to do than it is, I know it's even that much harder to really do. Nice job on it. Wish the mats, skill, and money (did I miss one? oh yeah, equipment!) to do a golden version of her Augmented skin. *drool*
hi, KamuiCosplay i really enjoy your work and this gun is amazing! i want to ask you if one day you could show how to make a replica of Corvo`s mask (Dishonored,Dishonored 2)?
I just started out cosplaying~ and i wanted to do this build, & even bought your sombra template! :D but sadly this video doesn't show all the layers that you've cut out, and it's hard to figure out which parts i need to cut again in thinner foam (6mm/5mm/2mm) (cos IM NOOB). the video shows us that you're sanding certain cut outs and gluing them on top, but i'm not sure which parts have been cut out ;~; this video is probably meant for advanced cosplayers, but if there was a part in the video where you lay out all the cut out parts, labelled with thickness of foam, and parts that you sanded. it'd be so helpful for newbies like me >_
Thanks for your reply and your suggestions. I'll try to keep that in mind for future building videos. For me it's clear what parts go where and how thick they need to be but I recognize it's a lot harder for people who just watch the video! Thanks for the feedback!
At 5:21 what kind of putty is that? We have like 20 different putty's in the local craftshop and I don't know which one to use :/ Gun looks amazing again ^^
KamuiCosplay Thank you for your reply, Kamui :) I had wood putty in my hands but the vendor said it will not work because foam is rubber based... I'm still gonna use wood putty, you prove it does work!
YAS that was great! Thank you so much for agreeing to make it out of foam, that's the only material I have access to at the moment and it's great knowing I can still build many things with it :D I have one question, I personally seal the foam with wood glue, is the heat gun a better technique you think?
Wood glue may crack under pressure so I am not a big fan of it for foam. You should try a product called Flexbond, which is basically flexible woodglue. You can get it on cosplaysupplies.com or cosplayshop.be
ah thanks! Does heat sealing have a good enough surface finish to paint directly above? Like you don't add anything else after that as a sealant? Sorry many questions, still a n00b XD
Omg you are SO CUTE! Like so adorable! I watched a video in which you don't speak and found it really calming and enjoyable to watch, but with you talking it's even more fun to watch! (are you German? if so will you be at Dokomi this year?) :)
Thank you for your videos!! They are really cool and detailed! How would you go about building a large sword out of EVA foam that is strong? Would you add a core of cardboard or pvc pipe with the foam covering that?
your videos are so smooth and enjoyable to watch ^^
SammehStarz that's what she said
I really enjoyed this video. But I wouldn't mind you guys going a little bit more in depth ;) I would totally watch a 60 minute video of you guys working on these models.
+StrayFire Attention spans on UA-cam are a little short nowadays so we're always trying to cut together the most helpful bits for our videos :)
KamuiCosplay Ihr könntet ja dennoch euer Material zusätzlich als "uncut" hochladen ;) Oder im Zeitraffer wie diese speed painting Videos. Ich fände das megageil!

Excellent work, thanks for sharing this with us. Svetlana, what brand of putty are you using there? (The brown putty.)
***** Ah, thanks. I didn't see that. Cheers.
Real Artiste!!!!!
At 5:21 what kind of putty is that? We have like 20 different putty's in the local craftshop and I don't know which one to use :/ Gun looks amazing again ^^
+Natan The 6th The one we used is actually to fix holes in your wooden floor :)
KamuiCosplay
Thank you for your reply, Kamui :) I had wood putty in my hands but the vendor said it will not work because foam is rubber based... I'm still gonna use wood putty, you prove it does work!

it will be great:)and I hope to make that .haha
Yay! Thank you!!!
Super cool.
If I buy your book will you stop selling me your book? Just kidding, I love your videos, especially your sense of humor.
If you buy my book I will try to sell you all my other books, hahaaa! x)
Thank you for your videos!! They are really cool and detailed! How would you go about building a large sword out of EVA foam that is strong? Would you add a core of cardboard or pvc pipe with the foam covering that?
Hey there! You definitely need something to stabilize your foam. I'd probably use a lightweight PVC pipe. :)
Ok, thanks! Just bought your book from Amazon :) keep up the amazing cosplay! I love your videos
What is the putty that you use to fill the seems with? Is it flexible?
This one not. Use Kwikseal if you need something flexible
If I had a dollar for every time her voice suddenly went to a higher pitch I would be a millionare
+Maysa Hey lemme squeak!
Hi, great instructional video. When you use a dremal on the EVA foam, what grit do you find is best for light sanding and shaping?
thanks
I use mostly 180 and 240
I love your voice XD
What brand of filling putty did you use? It's hard to find the right kind for eva foam here in the US. Nice work!!
It's a german brand called Molto. Just ask for spot putty in your hardware store.
Amazing video as always! Zelda :3
Hey kamui I just want to ask what is the difference between the foam you use and what Bill uses and great video
Cute Dog 🐶
