      KamuiCosplay Ihr könntet ja dennoch euer Material zusätzlich als "uncut" hochladen ;) Oder im Zeitraffer wie diese speed painting Videos. Ich fände das megageil!

      KamuiCosplay it might take me pretty long to get it done, this is my first real build (unless you count gluing cardboard onto a gun and acting like it's one of Alucard's guns from Hellsing) oh, actually do you think you could do a build on one of those guns? That would be awesome!

    Awesome :) I just wanted to mention: Please, if you sand EVA foam, use a good (Not 99 cent) dust mask. I am sure KamuiCoslay knows this, this is for their audience that may not know, especially young people. I made my first weapon using EVA foam last week and I was really careful to do it in front of my dust extraction setup (Which I use when carving with power tools), but I realise 99.9% of people won't have this.

    I just started out cosplaying~ and i wanted to do this build, & even bought your sombra template! :D
    but sadly this video doesn't show all the layers that you've cut out, and it's hard to figure out which parts i need to cut again in thinner foam (6mm/5mm/2mm) (cos IM NOOB).
    the video shows us that you're sanding certain cut outs and gluing them on top, but i'm not sure which parts have been cut out ;~;
    this video is probably meant for advanced cosplayers, but if there was a part in the video where you lay out all the cut out parts, labelled with thickness of foam, and parts that you sanded. it'd be so helpful for newbies like me >_

    • @KamuiCosplay
      @KamuiCosplay  8 років тому +1

      Thanks for your reply and your suggestions. I'll try to keep that in mind for future building videos. For me it's clear what parts go where and how thick they need to be but I recognize it's a lot harder for people who just watch the video! Thanks for the feedback!

    YAS that was great! Thank you so much for agreeing to make it out of foam, that's the only material I have access to at the moment and it's great knowing I can still build many things with it :D
    I have one question, I personally seal the foam with wood glue, is the heat gun a better technique you think?

    • @KamuiCosplay
      @KamuiCosplay  8 років тому

      Wood glue may crack under pressure so I am not a big fan of it for foam. You should try a product called Flexbond, which is basically flexible woodglue. You can get it on cosplaysupplies.com or cosplayshop.be

    • @DarkLumiya
      @DarkLumiya 8 років тому

      ah thanks! Does heat sealing have a good enough surface finish to paint directly above? Like you don't add anything else after that as a sealant? Sorry many questions, still a n00b XD
