    How long is the tinsel?!

The tinsel should be a little bit longer than the hair you are adding/replacing. So, in the case for Princess Sparkle here who has her original tinsel they probably had it at about 16 cm or so, since I think 'princess length' for manes is about 15 cm. For the tail, of course, it is folded over in half to make the tail bundle along with the hair.

The tinsel doesn't come out through normal brushing right? Unless you really pull it with intention to get it out?

If you have an ordinary, fairly undamaged G1 (like this one) the tinsel won't come out with normal brushing or combing. Frizz & crinkling weaken it, as do chemicals but whatever Hasbro used in the 1980s was fairly sturdy. Sturdier by far than lots of tinsel used in toys today.

@@ahorseofeverycolor8932 What if it's a G3 with tinsel? Is that less sturdy and needs a gentler hand when brushing?

@@Songal18 G3 is a little bit less sturdy, but really, not by much. They favor a lot of that iridescent/clear type tinsel which can be straightened, but still doesn't look as good as new when it is. Generally, the biggest risk of tinsel isn't pulling it out, but rather having it all crinkled and frizzed up or broken off short/to look bad.
Tinsel can also be replaced by hand. I should make a video about that.
