Wow! I got even more respect for y'all and the songs you review. 63 years old and a Skynyrd fan. This is a underrated album. Took me years to really appreciate it. Am I Losin is another great track from Nuthin Fancy. Thank you.
Yeah, it is weird to hear an unfamiliar song years later. I owned Second Helping in 75 so it's nice to hear other stuff. I would like Asia and BJ to react to "On the Hunt " live video from Winterland. Just great .
Just like ZZ Top, their music don't get old. My two favorite bands. Ronnie said if you have to write the lyrics down then it aint worth singing and he never wore shoes on stage always barefoot. The band now is more of a tribute band to the ones lost over time, Johnny is doin good taking over the vocals from his brother
The music I discovered in 1974 When I was 12 and how truly loved all my life is now officially in the hands of future music lovers to be passed on. Whating you 2 really enjoy the songs I have loved for 49 years really brings me joy in my soul. I was blessed to see them live over 20 times. Unfortunately I was supposed to go with friends to see them in Hollywood FL. Then did not go. They left that show headed north not long after that I heard they crashed. Everytime I went to a live show it was after the crash. On my wife's birthday I took her to the Biloxi show. Because it was a special occasion, I went full pop. Meet and great. Green room photos with the current line up of musicians. That was the only time I was able to speak to Gary Rossington. Between watching my older brother knowing herion was his go to, and songs like That Smell and Needle and a spoon. When offered that stuff it was easy to say No. I made lots of mistakes hey it was the 70's. When I heard Gary received the final healing and was gone from this world I was sad. First time hearing this Lynyrd Skynyrd song. Missed it somehow these past 50 years. :) Nice. Down there in the Southern blues tradition, lots of cheating and shooting the cheatin' woman... like in the blues lyrics. A little-known LS song, but it's got all the right elements. Thanks for the reaction!
without being one of the most critically acclaimed singers out there Ronnie had a way of making you feel what he was trying to get across in his lyrics. one of the greatest to ever Write and sing it....RIP RVZ
On the Hunt and Am I Losing were my favorites. Whiskey Rock-A-Roller was a big hit… these were folks of a different era, and things were certainly different… but the inspiration behind the music and lyrics are genuine. Ronnie Van Zandt never backed down from a fight.
I had forgotten about this song. Everybody does a "free Bird" reaction, but there are so many good songs by Lynyrd Skynyrd. She loves every man with pants on. They say a dozen for you is too few. I was in love with one like that decades ago. I know how he feels. I thought about his solution too, but I did not chose it, thankfully. Thanks for doing this one. Saw Skynyard in 76.
It doesn’t matter what song you pick from this band How many bands do you know of that every song is a good song You can make a list of songs from this band and close your eyes and put your finger on one and it’s a good song No one even reacts to their best songs like Am I Loosing Again Trust I Never Dreamed I’m a Country Boy Searching Cry For The Bad Man and so many more This is by far the best southern rock band ever and maybe the best rock band period
You might never get another request for my favorite Lynyrd Skynyrd song called One More Time from the Street Survivor album. It goes right along with the theme of Cheatin Woman.
The really early Skynyrd stuff that they weren't even known for most people don't even know they performed because they were really known for the stuff that they did 75 76 and 77 but, a lot of their older Music is Real bluesy is a lot of great order Skynyrd songs that Justin get played once the other songs really took off and of course Freebird you know got all the airtime on the radio which is an outstanding song but guitar wise call me the breeze, t for Texas in a few other ones are really great great guitar jams
Amazing isn't it..I've read that they recorded it in between tours, in a hurry, and heavily burned out from touring and partying. I'm 65, and it was always my favorite album of their's
If you would've put gimme back my bullets and searching on it instead of railroad song and I'm a country boy it would have been the best 70s rock album ever with Aerosmith Rocks being right there too
Asia please dont be upset about the shooting part...Ronnie Van Zant(singer) is playin a character like in a movie...He was married with children and a great family man...
Love this song is so blues and I love the blues that's got soul ❤️ Ronnie Van Zant and the documentary it's said that he never wrote down the words to a song because you have to write them down it's not worth remembering. Thank you for sharing Have a blessed day 🙏🏽❤️🙏🏽
First of all I want to say - I love vinyl. i gave away about 900 cds and my cd player to take care of my vinyl collection again. Thank you to your patreon for this song on vinyl. Nothing fancy is one of my favorite albums from LS but the best song (for me) from LS is "The Ballad Of Curtis Loew". What a great blues song about a poor man he met as he was young boy, it`s so emotional and also real interpreted I can`t describe. Thanks for sharing and best wishes @all from hamburg (germany)
@@kustomdeluxe8489 Same here. I saw that live performance, and it blew me away. Collins, Rossington, Huey, and Billy was a 4 man attack.Epic. Gaines comes along a little later, and takes the band to another level.
I don't know if you guys have reacted to The Cadillac Three, if you did I must have missed that one but if not please check out their sound, if you dig bluesy southern rock they sound great, The South was their biggest hit but I'm Southern is a jam yall need to experience by them , love that sound and the lead singers Southern accent is 🔥
A little surprised y'all chose this relatively little known Lynyrd Skynyrd song. But glad you did. Skynyrd has many obscure songs that only their fans know about. Most popular bands do.
Y'all outta check out older Skynyrd albums like "first & last". Every song is awesome. Rickey medlocke played drums on that album before switching to guitar later. Rock on
I don't know who they are but I sure the hell knows who these white boys are!!! One of their best soulful songs ever! Call me in ten years when you as good as these boys! 🎯🎯🎯
I was jailbait but I was with a good crowd and I saw the last concert in Greenville and I was just heartbroken to hear the plane crash but I believe they were all Christians For anybody who doesn't know what jailbait means it means you're underage big time

Agree 💯. 61 yrs old and still rocking to these songs some 45 yrs later.
It's refreshing watching the younger youth appreciate our era of music. I'm 65 and I'm amazed at it. Rock on!
I Love it too.. I saw them right after it’s release.
All good to me.
Lynyrd Skynyrd the guitar army. I will
Southern Rock is a mix of Rock, Blues, and Country. Skynyrd was the best at doing it all!
Asia & BJ, you’ll love their "Gimme Three Steps" and "What's Your Name?"!!
WooHoo!! Now that's what I'm talking about. Deep diving Skynyrd is like finding one gem after another. More, please!
Can’t go wrong with Skynyrd. THINGS GOIN’ ON is awesome, but there are just so many. ❤
YES...Lyric video a must!
@@SIXX2772 yes, because the lyrics are pretty heavy, and Ronnie can be difficult to understand, if you’re not Southern or used to a Southern accent. 😂
@@Tuesdays_Gone MIdwest (Kansas City) and never had any difficulty understanding the vocals, whether Ronnie or Leon.

Awesome LS. I saw them several times back in the day and it was an experience.
Very cool
The guitar gave it that edge but that rolling piano/keys put that vibe on it.
Billy Powell set those keys on fire
Nice! Cool reaction. Lynyrd Skynyrd is one of the most played group's at the juke joint
Y'all make my girl and I's day all the time. Thanks so much, so hilarious and you can see the luv you have for each other.

"Ain't No Good Life" is gonna be the next!!!
Well the old saying the Blues had a baby and they named it Rock'n Roll, certainly fits in this song.
This is why Ronnie Van Zant was a genius
It amazes me every time I listen to them and I think....This man wrote all this in his 20s. Like he lived a whole lifetime in such a short span
Nothin Fancy was considered a total flop when it was released. I actually think this album holds up very well 48 years after it was released.
Amazing isn't it..I've read that they recorded it in between tours, in a hurry, and heavily burned out from touring and partying.

Absolutely love this album. Railroad song is #1
Now your getting to know the band by listen to the tracks that weren’t main stream and feel the blood of the band✌️
“ 4 walls of Raiford” , “ Mr. Banker” !,
Gary Rossington was one of the best guitar players to ever live.

Am I Losin' off Nuthin' Fancy album has the best Ed King solo.
What a groove to this song. Do " T For Texas " live at Winterland by this great band. It's a jamfest with the Oulaws band to.
Found that one a few months ago. After Ed King left, before Steve Gaines joined, just add Huey T. and Billy J.
