The radio spoiled a few overplaying them. And all their music after the crash isn’t good at all unfortunately. I feel like they should have changed their name cause it didn’t have any of the soul or sound of skynyrd
There a few songs from Lynyrd Skynyrd Complete Muscle Shoals album that are favorites, hopefully you enjoy them too. 1) One More Time and 2) Things Goin On 3) Was I Right Or Wrong 4) Ain't Too Proud To Pray. The whole album is repeatable. I love your immersion in the music
Imo, this song is their most underrated song and its in my top 5. Thank you so much for choosing it. Skynyrd was so much more than Freebird and Sweet Home Alabama!
I’ve never heard that song, that was a slow banger. Excellent vocals painting that picture and the guitar, what’s mood it set. Please don’t stay away from LS for too long. 🔥🎸
Being a life long Skynyrd fan I appreciate you Sir for being an honest and outstanding person and please keep them coming thank you so much for bringing back memories!
Greatness personified is Lynyrd Skynyrd. You’re earlier reactions to Skynyrd is why I subscribed to your channel. You get it, and hear what so many miss. Not sure if you’ve reacted to Saturday Night Special yet. Amazing what this band did in five years. Music lives on.
The best and most real band that ever walked thr face of the earth? There music was or I should say still is for everyone. I think there music helps break racial barriers down because everyone can relate and they just send a clear picture of what there songs are about. Just brilliant writing. If your happy or sad these guys have a song for everyone. The Marshall Tucker Band is the same way.
Love that you go so deep into Skynyrd. Thank you. Brings me back. I was such a Skynyrd head back in the 70s. I was there for the Oakland Day on the Green show back in 77 - about 30 feet from the stage. I, like so many, was crushed to hear of the plane crash. Just like when SRV died. Thanks so much for your reactions, enjoying them so much!
They get deep down in the blues on this one, and growing up Lynyrd Skynyrd was my first introduction to the blues - fell in love with the music.. Love this one - it isn't that well known, but I think it should be.
Good stuff. It made me feel better. You're right they had something. Looking back at it is nostalgic and new, simultaneously. I didn't have this Skynyrd song "liked", until now. Good reminder. Whiskey Rock & Roll on!
This is one of my all time favorites. It will always remind me of me and my Dad going down the road full blast listening to it!!! It really kind of reminds my dad if his life in a way!
They were in their twenties and had so damned much soul. The Allman Brothers were such incredible youngsters like them. There are no such people like this anymore. The 70's was the absolute best decade for American music by FAR. The economy sucked. Vietnam was over in a bad way. Nixon was the president who presided over the downfall of the highest economic growth of our country. Yet these guys KILLED it musically.
DramaSyd, you got me. Your body language, your spot on opine on this piece was so refreshing. I will keep checking your reactions, because not only do you dissect the technical tempo of a song, but also the emotional impact of it. Keep preaching your sermon Sir. You got another fan in Carolina. Peace!
Skynyrd is my favorite band of all time. Keep up the great work and thank you for doing the not often heard songs So much great music goes by the wayside cause the pop culture folk won’t let it be heard. Thanks for the great vids
Awesome reaction, as always. never a bad song by LS/RWVZ. If you have not already, please check out “take your time“… ragtime boogie-woogie satisfaction is guaranteed!
Them and ZZ Top are my favorite bands, both heavily influenced by southern blues. Ronnie said if you have to write the lyrics down then the song ain't worth singing and never wore shoes on stage while he sang
The embracing of the stars and bars came after this. I think they should have never started with that vile nonsense. They didn't need it. Their music spoke for them. Like you, I really dig their music.
I love how liberal they used to be. Not like that trasvesty with their name on it now. Songs like this one, Things Goin On and Saturday Night Special showed the identity of the band. They championed the poor. The dis-enfranchised, the vulnerable.
The late, great Ed King on slide guitar!
are you sure, I always pictured Gary.
@@JAMESMOORE-gq4vv yeah, the liner notes say Ed did the slide
@@pcard10 nice.

Poor walls are rifled closer in on me didn't 325 hard labor😊
If Skynyrd has a bad song I have not found it yet.. I don’t think one exsists.
The only time you can use the word "bad" concerning skynyrd would be in the term "BAD ASS" ❤❤❤❤
5 poor white boys out of Jackson vll fla,Ronnie a true American poet , food 4 my soul, love ya dog
Just don't buy anything after the crash and you're right.
The radio spoiled a few overplaying them. And all their music after the crash isn’t good at all unfortunately. I feel like they should have changed their name cause it didn’t have any of the soul or sound of skynyrd
You got that right
Thank you!
This is on their album LEGEND.
I have never heard this! Wow, this is real life. No one touches Skynyrd, in my opinion. Great reaction Michael.
Love my 57 Les Paul standard! Oh Yeah 👍
Another Ed King and Ronnie Van Zant gem!
This is their most under rated songs I love this song it is just Ronnie and a couple guitars

Thanks for appreciating their best songs. Sweet home Alabama is great but their bluesy rootsy songs are my favorite.
Wish we could have gotten together for a Skynyrd concert back in the day. You would have had a blast. Thanks for showing them the love my friend.
Your the first one I've seen react to this song . Every song they did was Fire . My absolute all time favorite band ever.

When you gonna discover The Marshall Tucker Band, start with IN MY OWN WAY.
Ronnie had soul. What a great song. Yeah, I was old enough to be around when this was issued. Decades later & it's still a great song.
❤ ...would love to hear your reaction to "Am I Losin" by Skynyrd... 🤘
Thank you for this one.
Thank you Dramasyde I wasn’t a great Blues fan but wow I will certainly look into some more
Great reaction my friend
Bluesy and honest!
Awesome
It wasn't original, but as a cover, nailed it.

Thank you Duain Allman! Les Paul standard! He started it! Stormy Monday
A 19&50 Les Paul Guitar would have bought you a house when this song was written, and it might buy you one today if you have the right buyer.
Love my 57 Les Paul standard! Neighbors are getting Used to it 🎵🍷
I don't think they even made a 1950 LP...Not for a few years later. But it works for the lyric

Only on 2001 CD (demo). I suggest you get it.

Boy you can tell Ed slide playing anywhere
I buried all the males on my dad’s side. I was instructed not to do so for my dad.
I done it without hesitation. No regrets.
I love how liberal they used to be. Not like that trasvesty with their name on it now.
