Awesome results. Geissele's been making some nicely accurate barrels in the past couple years. I've come across a few .223 loads that had 5.56 powder charges. It's always immediately been noticeable compared to the .223 that I usually train with from Fiocchi, Norma, PMC, etc.
Yeah I was actually really excited to share the results. It’s definitely different with some of the loads sometimes, but I’m happy I was able to test it over multiple seasons
I have definitely been impressed with how accurate my 16 inch Geissele Superduty is especially for a cold hammer forged chrome lined barrel total tac driver great video!!!!
@@shootintheshtpodcast I believe it would great buy! I used to be one of those that really didn't buy into all the hype about Geissele however I ended up trading one of my personal builds for a brand new Geissele unfired and it has changed my perception 100%
I had 339rds out of 1000 AAC 77gr have bad primers and primers popping. Primers fell out a few times into trigger housing and locked her up. Not a big fan of it although for the price and accuracy it's OK. S&B 77gr has been stellar for the price
Damn bro, that's a 34% failure rate. My buddy couldn't get through a single box of the AAC 77gr Sierra out of the 100 rounds he bought to test. They haven't refunded him either.
Can you do some accuracy testing at 100 yards? It's the benchmark for acciracy testing, having watched a few of your URGI videos so far, it's always distances under 100.
@shootintheshtpodcast there's more than a few places down near Houston, you might want to try another spot. I'm just saying for consistency sake. I'm not being ceappy, I'm just saying it's a different distance every video. And ranges closer than 100 yards. Which is the benchmark. 1" at 70 isn't 1" at 100 and so on.
@@navyman8903 yes, but I can consistently give out 50Y accuracy testing, and now I can consistently give out 75Y accuracy. There maybe more then a few places to take stuff in Houston, but the days I have off are usually busier than all heck, and i do more then accuracy testing most days I’m at the range that I literally spend 70% of my day off at. I know you’re not being crappy and neither am I, but I don’t get paid to do this. I don’t have a private range, and I don’t have all the time in the world. I am sorry I cannot give you exactly what you want, but one day I’ll hopefully be able to walk away from my job and do this full time, but until then I’m kinda stuck doing what I can with what I have.
@shootintheshtpodcast trust me, I know from experience lol. We're in the same boat. The way I look at it is, if I'm spending my own money to go to a range/do a review/test a gun or ammo, I want to get my money's worth. Selfishly, I like seeing other people have good experiences with Geissele rifles and the URGI. Mine has been excellent. I've also fired 6 different samples which have all run well. But I like seeing how others perform.
@@navyman8903 I will do what I can to give you guys more, but if I can give you something as consistent as possible, then that’s what I will do. So far 50 yards have been what I’m able to put out. The ranges that have 100 yards around me that have multiple bays f’ing blow. They charge you by the hour and will boot you. I have had many terrible experiences at local ranges around here. Plus I f ing hate some of these ranges around here. So far Leigh John who owns Brazos has given me plenty of free reign and accommodates me for the most part, just not his one 100Y range that the hunters always use and are kinda huge d*cks
I think if you wanted to shoot a 3-18 scope you should of won't with a little longer barrel. Or mayb find a a lighter lpvo... another reason I wouldn't want a 3 -18 is the weight

Thank you, and I am too. I am thinking about getting the Mod 1 superduty from Geissele and seeing how that preforms as well.

I’ll have to take a look. I only had one bad primer in all I shot so far, but I’ll keep testing

It’s what I have to work with. I’m sorry it’s not 100 yards. Tell the hunters to F off and I’ll be able to use the 100 yard range

Hey man! Also a Houstonian here
Which outdoor range do you go to/recommend for 50-100yards?
Bench shooting or like run & gun? If for run & gun then Brazos River sportmans club.
For bench rest then Wallis orchard
@@shootintheshtpodcast thank you! I’ll check out both

This the 14.5”?
Yes. I believe I said that, if I didn’t then I apologize
@@shootintheshtpodcast prolly did. Just looks so damn short for some reason
70 YARDS THATS TERRIBLE
