This race is accurate. I have a 20’ 2SS and raced my buddies 24’ Base model GT on like a 50-150 and he started pulling on me about a car at around 130 but it wasn’t as bad as it looks in this video and we are both completely stock. I knew he would get me in the top end with his car having higher rpms but I jumped out infront pretty nasty on the go.
Im still running a 2016 SS A8 and yes the newer GT's would get me on the top end. I decided to get rid of DOD as I was getting up there in miles so I went with a BTR 220, MSD intake, Speed 2 inch headers, 103 TB and a tune and E85 setup, they never have a chance to keep up to walk me now. cam in at 527rwhp, lost some low end but gained about 500 rpm of rev range on top end.
I would say I'd take a ss for the price and driving performance because a 2ss cost want you get fir a base 24 gt but if I wanted to make a beast get a 24 gt and put a Whipple on it
if you dont know 10 speed gts pull on all its competition stock for stock then you been living in denial scat packs ss lexus whatever all the cars right in and its hp get pulled on

However when we look at boosted records, and RPG taking a 3rd gen coyote and hitting 7's with a billet OPG and turbo kit ONLY, none of the cars you mentioned even come close 😂
@@Adam5.0 2nd gear, drag mode, tc off. Drag mode is the best mode for roll races. Downshift to second in drag mode with the gear on S (I think its called M on the S650), and once you floor it just lightly push the gear selector to D and let the car do the work.

We drove the ‘24 ss and ‘24 gt and the gt is far superior in every aspect. The only issue I have is a little understeer when cornering at a high speed but 99% of drivers will never have this issue and a good driver can adapt to this on a track

because they come with an insanely high and tight geared 10 speed transmission. 10 speed Mustangs also come with some weak ass 3.15s unlike the manuals which come with 3.55 or 3.73. But the manuals have very long and wide spaced gearing so they need it.
Because the number of gears impacts that greatly. With 10 gears you would probably go thru 6 gears by the time you hit 100 with that ratio lol. It's not the same equation and result as gearing down a manual car

Stock s650 can run on 87 octane. 91 is recommended for advertised hp and 87 is lowest you can run in it
The Mustang has more than enough of a HP advantage to win on 87. It’s about a 3%power loss on 87 apposed to 93.
