Nah watched my guy played a throw barb back around 2003 in college and he did it as a joke till 99. Said it was ok in the beginning but didn’t enjoy it very much, id take D4 over this throw barb experience 10 out of 10 times.
Oh hell yeah. I used to do pvp as a throw barb back in the early LoD days and it was insane fun killing people that underestimated it. Gonna binge watch this!
I love doing weird builds in games. D2 it was particularly tough to make the weird builds work at the higher levels. I'm not surprised that D2 remaster buffed throw barbs cause I remember trying that build long ago and being like "NOPE."

Awesome run! One hint for Nightmare: try to get Shael Thul Amn - Peace runeword from Nightmare Countess. Gives roughly 25% critical strike, Valkyrie tank. Best cheap armor for playthrough.
A way they could make the increase stamina skill better would be to have some of the barbarians skills use stamina, could have frenzy for example drain stamina to extend its duration. And attack skills could use stamina rather than mana.
I'm playing a leap attack/frenzy barb just for a giggle, but it's actually doing work. The splash damage is okay for normal, it might drop of mid nightmare I expect but so far it's just been so much fun bouncing around and squashing lots of small enemies. It's really satisfying.
Start Act1 in p8, get the 1st wp, do the den in p1, after u can start doing some p3-8 rakanishu, around level 12~14 complete Act1. Act2 u should be fine to run in just p1~3. Act3 can be a nice place to rise a bit and gain more xp. Act4 usually p1. Now in Act5 u can abuse the Eldritch (Frigid Highlands wp) in players 3-8, to gain quick xp (but u must be lvl25+). If u are playing with a class that can clear Baal summons, use players 3-8 there, usualy lowering to p1 waves 3 and 5 for easier times. NM/Hell is usually were u start using the player X to increasse drops odds in bosses, like Andariel/Mephisto, or quick xp farming Act5 Eldritch (Frigid Highlands wp) The players X, depends lots on the char, if u are on a melee, prob p1 is the way sadly, but for caster with hyper clearing they can fly with the extra xp.
@@euklesio even for melee chars p3 is a smooth easy run to clear the entire game (and severely reduces the "no drop" chance), but that assumes an understanding of how hit chance works I suspect newer players will be struggling on that aspect and finding the game much harder as a result.
Lol surprised lama didnt know all the buffs. Its imo best leveling build once you get enough throw mastery to not run out off Javs ot counter their biggest downfall.. Quantity. You have dmg, range and pretty much cannot run out of ammo. Always use biggest dmg javs
I checked some parts of the video and was surprised to learn something new. Didnt know about wand with chipped gems trick. As for Shrine farm Dark Wood is the best in my experience, I always get 4 shrines to check and finding Gem Shrine doesnt take that long. But Stony Field is good too. I have one HC SSF Playthrough on my channel, was playing Frenzy Barb with Daggers as main weapons, no runewords and a few more rules. I also have 2 short videos about it (Weapon progress and Danger Highlights).
"I've sunk 200 hours into it and endgame doesn't entice me". Now here is what I don't get from blizzard. We have here a guy who RELIGIOUSLY plays D2 and those 200 hours are probably 1/100th of what he's sunk into D2. How on earth are they not asking themselves what they're doing wrong. Even with all the current day crap they want to shove in there, IF the gameplay loop was good people wouldn't mind, but it's not and blizzard is just pushing forward thinking they can polish a turd...
Question: would the Frostwind unique cryptic sword work as a poor man's Grief replacement, or does the added cold damage not work the way Grief's added damage does?
Hey Mate, the + 340-400 Dmg from Grief will be multiplied by all your off Weapon +%Enhaced Damage like from your Skill, Auras, stuff Like Fortitude Armor etc. + X2 If you get a Deadly Stike in what makes it so wild. +Magic/Poison/Elemental DMG wont. What Build do you Play? Maybe i know some cheap Runewords/Uniques if you are still in need. I play a self found WW Barb on SP atm, using two Coldsteel Eye from NM Mephisto that i want to Upgrade and Socket with a Amn or P.Skull now since im at Hell Countess. Having the most fun ever with a Melee. Grief is the best Weapon and amazing, but Boring. It is actually more fun NOT using it imo 😅
@@muzik6825 I'm not using it at present but I was thinking about a zealer when I found the Frostwind on another character and thought it might stand in for the Grief I know I'll never be able to get. I still might but I'll have to make do with something like Black.
@@willythemailboy2 You can give the Frostwind a try on a Zealot, its not unplayable, but i dont belive it will be great. Black is probably the best you can get from NM Countess. Heavens Light, Fleshripper maybe Lawbringer If you dont have a Reapers Toll for your Merc to have Decrepefy. If you want to go Holy Frost/Fire and have some Goblin Toe/G-Face or whatever for Crushing Blow, maybe Hustle. I also Love Demon Limb as a Tool for the Enchant Pre Proc. Or you spend some evenings opening Super Chest in LK If you are on Single Player and really want that Lo 😅

Reporting back here to state that the Cowboys have dominated the Eagles, then lose hard to the Bills. 49ers s tier, Cowboys a tier, eagles b tier. Llama prediction could be on point here but they gotta get through the 49ers still.
Imagine how cool and unique a gold find barb playthrough would be. You'd grind for edge, you'd gamble most gear. It'd be such a fun lottery build/playthrough. Please Llama. Do this for me.
Back when I always had multiple 99s. It was so easy to do. The game teaches you to clear every zone with the very first mission. Kill all enemies in the cave. It teaches you to clear zones. Makes the game so easy to beat. Wish diablo4 was a better game. It had no identity. They went gritty like diablo2 but kept skill system of d3 in terms of hotbar. Then wanted a skill system that felt like path of exile. Like they dont know what they are doing. The game literally lacks identity. The open world and accidentally going into act2 when you havent finished act1 was fucking stupid. Makes no sense. Dungeons were boring as shit. They made a bad game. Most items are useless. "So many uniques" and like 10 are worth having. Its just bad.... im more excited for path of exile 2 or titan quest 2.
I have always had a thing where if I enable players 8, it is going to be at creation. It can't be turned off or I feel like I failed. I'll just power through it.

I loved playing through with this character. I found twitchthroe and cleglaws gloves early and they made normal a breeze.

That's a good idea. Stamina is so worthless otherwise.

I believe the reason you can't 'Leap Attack' with throwing potions is they don't have "melee" damage, like other throwing weapons do.
I don't enjoy Barb very much, but Throw Barb is the one I have fun playing with.
You should do a video breaking down when and where to use the players command, i know it would help me out a lot

Is that skill bugged, it always says "0% chance to not consume quantity" regardless of how many points you put into it.

Yes, just applies at half effectiveness like with bow attacks.

Its one of the best barb builds, but it does require good weapons and there are no throwing weapon runewords to use early on.
