My dad lived with an LVAD for the last five and a half years of his life. Without it, he would have never lived ling enough to see and get to know his youngest grandchild, my youngest daughter Angelina. It would have been terrifying if my dad's LVAD broke down. I'm so sorry to hear about your friend's plight, Troy.🙏🏻
I don't know how long Rob's been on the LVAD, but it's been quite a few years and he'll, most likely, be on it for the rest of his life. I'm not sure if it was meant for that or not.
George Harrisons approach to music is very unique imho. It's also harder to decipher his tunes due to so many small details and subtle changes. Which is why it's a 'pain' to hit those small changes in riff that repeat. I got a kick out of Troy playing Harrison guitar riffs...sounding all squier/geddy growl. Since they're essentially the same on this awesome tune. WTG !!! Nailed it!

Well, I took your advice and bought a 2107 Ibanez SR500. Love the feel and fit. Then I discovered I have zero spread in my fingers when curled around the neck. Working on that with some four finger four fret exercises but I think it will be a while before I can hardly play anything. Working on the music theory and learning the fret. But I’m old and patient. Great tune! I liked it.

That's classic Spector for sure, Troy. Though it was made more Spectorish by George Harrison going on to do loads more overdubs on it after the basic tracks were done. Like a lot of records of that period, it suffers from there being more instrumental tracks than there were tracks on the multitrack, so you get a lot of degradation from multiple bounces.

First off, I am very sorry to read about the unfortunate circumstances your friend finds himself in and I hope the funds are able to be raised to keep him going. It's a shame that our entire healthcare system is pay-to-play. I am a big fan of Carl Radle but I have to admit that I did not know he played on this song! Based on what I know about Carl, is he's one of those guys who would come up with lines that really served the song at didn't go too far outside of the lines, however, I've also noticed that he throws in little variations and I kind of feel like that's more of a boredom alleviation thing. One example I can give of a song I learned is Nobody Knows You When You're Down And Out the Derek and the Dominos version. It's a pretty simple line but there are multiple little variations throughout that make it interesting and fun to play. So that's my take, for whatever it may be worth lol. Excellent cover!!!
Thanks you, I think it's just an awful situation that people go through every day in our country. Unless he gets a transplant he will never be made whole, but that's highly unlikely. Any funds that could be raised on his behalf at this time will be put toward making his recovery less painful and stressful. I bitch and complain about everything from the time I wake up until the time I go to bed and I'm in reasonably good health and have red carpet health insurance (thanks to my wife). I have great empathy for Rob because, if I were him, I'd be losing my mind. I hadn't heard of Carl Radle before looking up some info for this cover, but it seems like he played with some really big players. Unfortunately, he died terribly young.

Hello Valter! Thanks so much. It's been quite a while since I've even played through an amplifier, so I would not be the best person to ask. I would suggest to get the most wattage you can afford... 200 watts at a minimum. I've heard nothing but good things about the Fender Rumble series... and Peavey has always been a solid brand for the money.
Hi Troy. Great video as I am a Harrison fan. I have a concerning question for you and I know you have experience in this. I received a strike (Henley) 65 day ago and another (Eagles) 5 days ago. Out of the blue. So I now have 2 and as I can't afford a 3rd I have made my videos private for 25 days until the first expires. I would appreciate your thoughts on this and have you ever come close yourself? It is very unnerving and I certainly don't want to lose my channel. It is unfortunate that they simply can't remove the videos and not penalize people on random strike decisions. Also I have a few including Eagles that have no copyright. Are they safe? I have lost my trust in how this all works. I hope you answer as I value your experience and knowledge here. Thank you.
Hello and thanks. Don't you just hate those "out of the blue" strikes. I can't really remember having two strikes at once. That would have really stressed me out. You're doing the right thing by going underground until the first strike expires. The Eagles are the absolute worst with regard to strikes and video take-downs, so I'd suggest that you stay away from them... and their solo stuff, especially Henley's. He seems to be the driving force behind it. I've seen the copyright pendulum swing both ways and back again on UA-cam and they are constantly changing the way they handle the dispute process. Most of the copyright flags are automated, but there are now companies that go out and manually look for the videos that fell through the cracks. I'm not sure what's in it for them. Here is a link to an unlisted video I made last year where I talk about an experience similar to yours - ua-cam.com/video/mzdby4wa0DY/v-deo.html Look for the contact info of who issued the takedown and maybe you can reason with them. I don't get notified about replies to my replies, but I'll try to keep an eye on this thread if you have any questions or thoughts. I half expected this because the Beatles are tough, but fair. I immediately filed a dispute. Up until recently, UA-cam would keep your video blocked for the first 48 hours after the dispute was filed and then release it, unless they heard back from the content owner. Now, they keep the video blocked for 30 days. If they don't hear back from the content owner, only then will they unblock the video. I don't get it.

I also worry about 2 strikes in one day leaving me no chance to react if I already have 1. Nonetheless I appreciate your thoughts and know we are all in the same boat. @@TJH3113 43 years now, Having a farm in the bush is the way to go, Can crank up amps and only the Kangaroos to complain. (the wife has never complained about the music/noise..) only the amount of regular investments in hardware i've made over the last 43 years. And there has been a lot.
