No joke myself, my bro and all our friends used to build lego pod racers back in the day, hold em in our hands and run around the neighborhood making boost noises and battling each other til engines fell off and tumbled into piles of brick. Was 9-10 back when Episode I came out, those were the good ol' days, before the dark times...before Disney.
I use to do the same thing! The days when Phantom Menace came out were the best to be a kid!

I wish podracing got more lore. I would love to have biographies of famous figures, or even a new game dedicated to it. What would be amazing is a novel set in podracing.

Podracing is by far the coolest thing in Star Wars that they just never delved too deep into.
Honestly pod racing was one of my favorite aspects of the prequels and has become one of my favorite Star Wars topics.
From just how badass it is racing in a tiny chariot attached to two massive engines, to the huge cast of alien focused characters. I wish it was portrayed more or had more presence in Star Wars. Hell, imagine a game where you had races based off of the original pod racing aliens from Boonta Eve. You could make your own custom character based off of these races, or just be one of the characters themselves like Sebulba.
Then, you could make your own pod racer with different parts, paint jobs, styles etc. Like the old N64 one but with a lot more customization and modern graphics! Would be one of my dream Star Wars games.
George once again displaying his creative genius.
Take Ben-Hur, crank it up to Eleven and have a nine year old boy kick righteous ass.

Well, one thing's for certain, PC gaming parents would get a kick on making their kids play Episode I: Racer from Steam or GOG, among other Legends titles from TIE Fighter to Empire at War.
Still waiting for Racer's Revenge to get a modern multiplatform rerelease though. Sequel's a bit inferior, but it's not as terribad as the Rebel Assault duology either.

Can't be worse than what Vitiate did to Children. Who don't know about the "children of the Emperor" in Swtor? In a nutshell, if your child was force-sensitive, there was a chance you would be forced to hand your child over to the emperor's servants, where your child would be bound by a dark side ritual to the emperor and basically become an extension of his will. Kira Carsen was one his most famous child. And the most messed up thing is that those meat puppets were treated better than Vaylin.

Honestly I’d just make a robot that was programmed seeing every major recorded podrace in history then program all the winters strats and ideals into it. Nothing against a droid flying
i didn't bother putting my kid into podracing because he doesn't know a thrust coil from a sealing bolt. I entered myself.
i used heavily modified Titan 2150 engines with added air brakes and a thrust reversal system for quick emergency braking. my cockpit had a highly advanced action-prediction algorithm and could tap into broadcasts to recognize hazards early enough to warn me of what was ahead.
I placed 3rd.
I knew Mario Kart was intense, but not this intense!
At least in podracing, you can't get Mario Kart's. (The art of getting hit by near every item in the game. Losing your lead to the back of the leader board.)

Quick question, why is a “speeder bike” called what it is?
The term “bike” comes from bicycle, which means “two wheels”
Speeders have never had wheels, they’re hover crafts.
It could be due to the general design of it, as the drivers tend to be sitting on them that's more akin to a pedal bike or motorcycle, the more lounge designs that exist today. At least, that's how I see it.

@@stingerjohnny9951No, but actually yes. In 'Revenge of the Sith', we see General Grievous riding a large motorized unicycle. The existence of this vehicle implies that bicycles could have been invented too.
There's also a scene in one of the Star Wars: Aftermath novels where a two-wheeled motorcycle is described. Those books are technically canon, but the author made up several dumb things that don't really belong in the SW galaxy.

Going to be honest, I just bought myself a slightly damaged Mark IV Flat Twin Turbojet and a junked GPE-3130 for an absolute steal of a deal. Am hoping to repair the pair of them when they arrive, though that GPE-3130 will need a new core module and cables, but that shouldn’t be too hard, most expensive part should be the cables.
Anyways, gotta go, am waiting on these two old 2001 beauties to ship. Rockatoa, Brickticks out!

Podracing is similar to cock fighting, where life is cheap and bloodshed chums the betting pools. It is a reflection of societal values.
Got a message from my kid. Said she won her first race after qualifying on some unknown planet. Also mentioned there were a lot of racers who were butt hurt from loosing to a human girl. That was 6 months ago... Should I be worried? 🤔

I dunno, do my kids have precognitive abilities that give them sub-millisecond reflexes to avoid flying a jet-propelled hover chariot into a mountainside at 600 MPH? And if not, does the racing administration cover the prosthetic everything and extended bacta treatment they'll need after such a collision? I don't want my children being mistaken for a droid because of cheap parts.

Well see i couldnt bring myself to use my 22 orphan kids for pod racing but my grandmother conveniently had a life insurance policy backed by the Galactic banking clan that covers death by pod racer and shes lost alot of weight lately. And well me and their moms needed to expand to house all 22 kids and we needed money quick so we signed grandma up for boonta eve i call it cash for clunkers

Dear Geetsly, recently I have come into posession of 4 crashed TIE Fighters. Is the pod racer with twio blocks of x4 TIE engines is too much power for my child, or should I start with something safer, like Y-wing engines? Awful suggestion! DO NOT SEND OFF YOUR KIDS TO PODRACEING! I made this mistake myself and 3 of my 4 kids were killed in the first race, that is how they faired! DO NOT LET THEM PODRACE!
