Peak design. Remember, quad you need to buy the dampener, that is built into the Peak Design. Also, you used the stick on for Peak Design, would be nice if you do the actual case like you did for QuadLock
During the vibration test you didn't try at higher RPM, I'd bet you'd see more drastic differences between with and without vibration dampening Good video though! I appreciate you mentioned the vibration dampner being an addon to the others, it was the main selling point for me when deciding which to get, at the end of the day for a vibration dampening mount they all cost nearly the same
Looking at the mounting, it seems that both quad Lock and peak design allows us to mount the phone in both portrait and landscape without adjusting the mount with a tool. It looks like SP connect I'll need to decide whether I want the phone to be portrait or landscape during installation. If so, I will surely strike it off if it is important that I can switch the mounting profile as and when I like.
I've been using Quadlock for ages, but its ugly when then phone isn't on, I'm considering the Peak Design, on a side note, this video was the most fun phone mount review ever, you guys are legends!
@@tri333ple I'm willing to pay the extra price for a good product, but I have fat bars on my Harley, the standard bar mounts don't fit and I think the adjustable strap doesn't have any anti vibration
The vibration damper is on the connector that your phone mounts to the handlebar, if you remove the rubber on the handlebar mount you should be able to fit it on most bars unless your fat bars are thicker than standard!
thank you for this!!! i have the quad lock and then discovered the peak designs after i had already used the quad lock. but i was curious how well it would work, and now i know! keep up the good work!
thanks to your video on the quad lock vs cheap lock, i got myself the cheap lock and its been working just fine 👍. True tho sometimes it gets very annoying when you miss the spot to latch and twists.
Great review! The quad lock is a great phone mount however I prefer the Eowihor. Weird name, great phone holder. It's a cradle you simply drop your phone into then hit the lever on the side to close the cradle tight around the phone. You don't have to hit the lever because it will still stay put but the lever is recommended in part of securing it. There have been times I forget to hit the lever and it still securely holds my phone. It's adjustable for most phone sizes & has multiple ball mounts that come with it at no additional charge and it's very inexpensive, around $18. Having the ball mount allows you to quickly rotate your phone with one hand. And it allows you to use your existing phone case, as long as it isn't over 9.25 cm wide (The Galaxy 20+ is 7.8 cm wide).
I would purchase the Peak Design, but I read to many reviews that the magnets mess up your map program. Once you remove it the map program works again. Please do that test!!
They now do a quick attach detach copy of PD on temu the problem being i dont trust the stick on mounts and dont know if it is an exact match for the peak design cases. Maybe you could do a strength test on the copy version and see if it matches the PD cases The thing is the cheap one is £8 so it makes you wonder on the markup of the PD original
also I would like to see vibration test on single cylinder dual sport bike. I have expierence with mine ktm 690 enduro, vibrations damaged not only camera, but also screen lights go off. I've been using samsung galxy xcover pro.
In regards to the Twist to lock vs the Magnetic, how does the magnetic preform say if you have the phone in your pocket next to say some metal. Does the magnet pickup anything metal near it
I use Sp Connect sistema about 4 years and never had problems. Also fall down my phon to my pans in moto at 40 km/h and the phone case protect my phone very well. I'm interessed to peak design for the attack sistema very easy and fast in vertical and horizontal but I see a lot of people showing the case breaks quickly and I don't unterstand why it does attack only in two point and not consider for four point to dissipate energy whit more effectively and be more safe on moto and bike. And also haven't the antivibration module. I think peak design have more design for sure, more premium, mor quickly, the accessories for all day and office very good but for motorcycle and mountain bike sp connect are more secure, professional and efficient!
I was always very happy with Quad lock until a bought Wireless charger. I had a A34 Samsung that doesn't have wireless charging so i bought a S23 FE phone. The only available case for that was the Mag Safe case. Now i found out that my phone doesn't charge because of the mag safe case. My other S9+ phone with the normal case charges up but my S23 FE with mag safe case doesn't charge up. Very bad design from Quad Lock...
Compare the pull test of the cheap lock and peak design see see. I remember the cheap lock actually won’t break and the adhesive gave way instead right?
Great video and you look like you're having a lot of fun. Looking to get a phone mount for my Ducati Monster, do you still recommend the Peak Design mount ? I think the vibration damper is needed for my bike
Yes we always have fun making the videos. Whats most importsnt is that you guys like it!!The peak design holder comes with a anti vibration damper. We recommend it!
Great case and mount but it is flawed as it doesn’t charge with my Audi wireless charger or apple wireless charger or my wireless stand, in fact it doesn’t charge with most other wireless chargers only Quadlocks own devices!! Very disappointing from that perspective, I did try to get in touch and did have a online chat but was told exactly what I just discovered above, so they basically said good luck but only our chargers are recommended, pity they take such a poor customer service stance. But great case just don’t expect it to charge.😢
Good tests, but completely wrong. The goal is for the phone to be protected. I have no reason for the support system to withstand the impact but the phone to be destroyed. Normally, even if the phone falls from the stand, it has a case that can protect it. In the previous test, you broke your phone, because it did not detach from the support in time.
I too have a love/hate relationship with my quadlock. Easy to remove but irritating to try and mount the phone using one hand. I have also considered switching over to Peak Design- but unfortunately their phone covers won't play well with S-Pen capable Samsung Galaxy phones.
my peak design mount just released my phone while i was riding down the highway today. it didn't break, it just let go of the phone. do NOT get a peak design
Im using peak design so far It works wonderfully for me.
Been using quadlock for 1 year plus now on my bike. Totally no complaints and price is decent!
150 bucks i absolutely not decent
Peak design. Remember, quad you need to buy the dampener, that is built into the Peak Design. Also, you used the stick on for Peak Design, would be nice if you do the actual case like you did for QuadLock
maybe you can add in what you are testing with a ticker or something .. 'vibration test :quadlock' , 'vibration test: sp connect' etc
During the vibration test you didn't try at higher RPM, I'd bet you'd see more drastic differences between with and without vibration dampening
Good video though! I appreciate you mentioned the vibration dampner being an addon to the others, it was the main selling point for me when deciding which to get, at the end of the day for a vibration dampening mount they all cost nearly the same
Can u review mounts with vibration dampeners to see how effective they are?
Looking at the mounting, it seems that both quad Lock and peak design allows us to mount the phone in both portrait and landscape without adjusting the mount with a tool. It looks like SP connect I'll need to decide whether I want the phone to be portrait or landscape during installation. If so, I will surely strike it off if it is important that I can switch the mounting profile as and when I like.
On the Peak Design you just put the phone on the mount in the orientation you want at the moment. Watch the video and you'll see.
Thats a very good point. And yes for the sp connect ud have to readjust the mount with a tool. Somewhat inconvenient
I've been using Quadlock for ages, but its ugly when then phone isn't on, I'm considering the Peak Design, on a side note, this video was the most fun phone mount review ever, you guys are legends!
Thank you buddy. We are happy that you enjoyed the vid! We really like the Peak Design mounts though price is a little on the higher side

Unfortunately my bars are aftermarket and are 50mm thick, I believe the handle bar mount only goes to 35mm
I switched from quad lock to peak design in January and I have loved it ever since
Sleek and easy to use and look clean on my Ducati

Good comparison but I like the fact that the Quadlock has offers an integrated wireless charging option as an add-on.
I would purchase the Peak Design, but I read to many reviews that the magnets mess up your map program. Once you remove it the map program works again. Please do that test!!
very in depth comparison video! have you seen the chong aik magnetic phone mount? please try and let us know!
We will take a look !!!!

I’ve used quad-lock for years now. But Peak design does a great job addressing it’s weaknesses.
was the vibration test done with the dampening bases?
be curious to see standard base vs dampening base
no, damper is big enough you would see it here, they did not use it
also I would like to see vibration test on single cylinder dual sport bike. I have expierence with mine ktm 690 enduro, vibrations damaged not only camera, but also screen lights go off. I've been using samsung galxy xcover pro.

Did you test all mounts without the vibration damper?
I use quadlock and it hasn't failed me yet. Had I known about the cheap one I probably would have gotten it.
I use Sp Connect sistema about 4 years and never had problems. Also fall down my phon to my pans in moto at 40 km/h and the phone case protect my phone very well. I'd love to try peak design but they barely support Samsung phones, no case for the S20 Ultra
at the moment the cases are quite limited. you can try using the universal adaptor!
Do they all have wireless charging possibilities?
Can i use quad lock fork mount on cb300f?
Have you used the vibration dampener on the QuadLock?
I like your vid’s. What is the glue tape you use, can I get it on Amazon?
Peak design should make a vibration dampener and wireless charger like the quad lock
Can you guys test the zedge pro ?
Great video and you look like you're having a lot of fun. Looking to get a phone mount for my Ducati Monster, do you still recommend the Peak Design mount ? I think the vibration damper is needed for my bike

@@tri333ple Thanks, you have anew subscriber !!!
Thank you for subscribing buddy!
You can find the peak design on our website as well at tri333ple.com!
Please test peak design vs motlotec magnetic doluble lock thank you
Why don’t you test the Rainman Tempest phone holder ?
too many options! maybe in the future! 😬
Are you try the quad lock with magnetic case ?
What’s you didn’t test the QuadLock Mag?
what's the name of the app that measures vibs?
Great video! You guys are awesome!
thanks for the kind feedback! we'll keep making videos!
Amazing and valuable content, well done guys! Ordered Peak Design for motorcycle, bicycle and car.
Awesome! Thank you for watching
How it's goes for motorcycle?
Nice review
Does any of this charge at the same time ?
we know that the quadlock has wireless charger add on as an option
With gloves.... SP "connect" better choice.
Quad lock Suuuuuuuucks. Going peak design or Mous definitely
We haven't got the chance to check Mous out! Thanks for watching the video
Ulanzi got O-lock mount
Yup wrong hole, I’ve heard that before.
Quadlock without vibration dampener=killed my phone camera in 3 miles
Quadlock with vibration dampener=hasn’t killed my camera yet (1,500 miles)
good to know that the vibration damper helps with phone cameras
100% better than quadlock.

Do literally comment on every quad lock video? Move on. I drive an Audi and you are annoying.
I like quadlock because its magsafe
Its too pricey and my brothers phone flew off when he was travelling on the freeway, stick to quadlock it's cheaper and locks phone tight
Good tests, but completely wrong.

Good point! Maybe we should do a test of the cases and see how good they really are too.

I have also considered switching over to Peak Design- but unfortunately their phone covers won't play well with S-Pen capable Samsung Galaxy phones.
Yes, sadly anything with a magnet messes with the s-pen detection. Amos and Jake have that issue with their Galaxy fold also.
Hahah, how can u still be single with that tip and that speed.
Sometimes speed is not the best thing bro hahah
my peak design mount just released my phone while i was riding down the highway today. it didn't break, it just let go of the phone. do NOT get a peak design
Are you working for quadlock?

quad lock über alles
