Not a silly video at all. The reason I watched this video is because I literally just had my iphone drop out of my handlebar phone holder in the middle of a 1.6 mile single track, decently used trail where I didn't notice until I got to the end of the trail. I then had to walk back through half of the trail where luckily I came across another rider who noticed my phone, picked it up, & gave it back to me. Thankfully there are still some honest people out there! What then freaked me out was that my phone was on, not locked, because I had it on a bike app mapping my ride. And if you are like a lot of people out there, including me, you have a lot of sensitive data on your phone. So the person who picked up my phone had access to all that. Needless to say that phone holder is now only used on the road. That holder was like the one you showed that stretches around the corners, So this video was completely needed! Thanks.
The Quad Lock is the BEST phone holder I have ever owned. I have one on my Motorcycle and my Dirt bike, I have done 100Mph on the track and my phone didn't budge, I've also done Motorcross (big jumps, hard cornering ect) and again it didn't budge at all. I use the universal adhesive mount which I stuck to my own phone case as they didn't have a specific case for my phone.
I was looking to see that some one else pointed out that you can get a universal adhesive adapter. Uses quality 3M tape just like on your gopro mounts. I have the wireless car, desk and motorcycle charger. I have a desk mount, car mount and also a mount on each of my 4 bikes and on my motorcycle. It's been great. Though the case is not as protective as I prefer a phone case to be, it is as good if not better than most of the minimalist ones on the market.

I just bought a quad lock a few weeks ago. They make a universal piece that glues to any hard phone case and the bike mount straps to handle bars with really tuff bands. I’m liking it so far. Can put it on my MTB,beach cruiser, and hopefully soon road bike. Good review🤙
Seth. You should get either a really nice wooden sign with a Drama memorial burnt into it or a metal sign like the one on the flight deck with Drama written on it and mount it on the Drama drop.
What a timely video. Our oldest son will be going out to college in 2 weeks at the foothills of the Appalachians and I hope he gets more into bking. I was looking for a device like this for him. I bought a generic top tube bag which has a clear top so he can see the phone and the bag itself can hold his bicycle lock and chain. I personally use a GUB mount, and I can vouch for how good it is. I’ve been in some nasty crashes and my phone never flew out of the mount or was hurt in anyway.
Has anybody tested in for trail riding? I really want to use my phone to record (because gopros are expensive and recording on my phone is easier) and would like to know if it's secure enough for it
@@kalebthebeast1 It seems extremely secure with the screw bolts, that wasn't the issue with it in the video, it just seems dangerous for trail riding because the metal could potentially hurt you pretty badly in a crash
LOVE the GUB mount! There's not a SINGLE sharp edge or corner on this mount that would penetrate or damage human tissue in a fall, so I think even downhill MTB'ers are good to go
for my hardtail, I use an attachment called SP CONNECT, it is similar to quadlock, but much cheaper, if you choose the universal version, that is the one with a giant attachment with 3M double-sided tape to attach behind a cover (preferably smooth) I have it paid € 30 in all, and it came with 3000 accessories, I personally put it on the stem and I must also say with a pretty "fragile" cover I made rocky descents at full speed, and the phone did not move of a millimeter. To release and hook it, just turn it, and the mechanism releases it.
Great review! One more contender to throw in the mix: SP Connect. Similar to quad-lock, but the cases are thinner and there seem to be more accessories.

This just popped up in my feed for some reason and it sparked my interest. I have been using the Quad Lock since the iPhone 6. Every model since I have picked up a new Quad Lock case for it. Love that case and mount system and works for so many things.
I have the Quadlock mount that uses the elastic bands, and one upside to it versus the one you have is that in the event of a bad crash, the bands will snap and you won't end up impacting your phone as hard. I'm not sure if the more rigid mount is designed to fail in that way.
Wanted to share that I bought the GUB one... it's bullet proof feeling. But, you were exactly right, too dangerous for MTB trails... I had an accident and was untouched minus the edge of this phone holder that left a DEEP gash below my knee. Didn't realize what caused the gash until the guys at the bike shop noticed hair and skin caught in there... gross. I have since gotten a backpack strap phone holder, so my phone is on my backpack strap on my chest. Appreciate you my man! Wish I saw this video sooner!
This vid was great for the info, I've been looking at quad lock for a few weeks and this has confirmed the stability issues I was worried about. Looking to get one now, thanks!

Yo Seth. Its a pleasure spending time with you my man. Not as an escape, but simply enjoy sharing my time with you. Stay present! Stay In love with what you love my friend :D
I'm really impressed at how positive you are atm after losing Dram
I've had a quad lock mounted on my bike for 4 yrs and never had my phone come off. Works great!
I just bought a quad lock a few weeks ago. They make a universal piece that glues to any hard phone case and the bike mount straps to handle bars with really tuff bands. I’m liking it so far. Can put it on my MTB,beach cruiser, and hopefully soon road bike. Good review🤙
I spy a new intro: "Welcome to Berm Peaj Express. Today we're gonna be doing something different ... but also kinda the same..."
Me too
hes used this intro before in an earlier video
I think for safety reasons, the bar mount ones are more ideal since he doesn't need to look straight down. I admire your character to channel your energy into positive, helpful things for strangers. It speaks of your nature and nurture and I strive for this. There are many howto videos but I gravitate towards yours because of your wholesome approach. Take care.
3:26 let’s take it down the DRAMA MEMORIAL drop 😢 love you drama
When Seth posts I click fast he is such a good UA-camr he could talk about hot dogs hamburgers anything he dose keeps me entertained
You bromancing
bro, hot dogs? lol
You’re trying to get pinned 👽
@@lifewithmason5129 yeah and not in UA-cam either 😂
That feeling when you delete your previous comment begging for subs because you got so much hate for mooching off of Seth's subscriber count and using Drama's death for likes-real screwed up man
Hey I'm a bit late to the party but I just wanted to say that quadlock actually does sell a universal mount adapter. It has some good quality 3m adhesive on it and allows you to stick it to any case (or I guess object that you can think of) to mount it to the quadlock receiver.
I use one for my S7 Edge, as I really like my otterbox commuter case and didn't want to buy a new one!
Now I can watch UA-cam while riding
UA-cam is a weird way to spell Seth
@@thinkdogeys9993 I love this comment 🤣
@@thinkdogeys9993 that is an amazing comment well played
learn how to ride while doing it
“Samsung Nebula” 😂 New and advanced.
don't laugh at it it is the most advanced phone since the original iphone
This video was sponsored by Apple and quad lock
Still better than apple
@@kinetix3576 well, to be fair, it`s not hard to beat apple
one of the best youtube channels ive ever watched tbh
Put "today where gonna do something different, but kinda the same" on a T-shirt.
bro HOW DOES HE HAVE A STRAIGHT FACE WHEN MAKING SAMSUNG JOKES IM DYING RN HE EVEN LINKED IT IN THE DESCRIPTION
DANO i was laughing so hard 😂😂😂
Thats an accurate representation of a samsung phone i dunno why he wouldnt have a straight face
No it’s not. That phone costs like 10 bucks or less I think. Also how much did you pay for your iPhone? I bet it was more then any Samsung device
@@rzweckable samsung cost pretty much the same as apple now
@@wapniak666 Well the S class costs about the same as apple. But Samsung also has medium range and low range phones as well. I can buy a $400 dollar samsung that has batter battery life, more storage, better customisation, better build quality and overall a better expirience than a $1000 dollar iPhone. I mean even the name "iPhone"... Just stick an "i" infront of the word phone and thats that... Veeeery creative Apple.
I'm not a samsung fanboy I just happen to understand that apple is screwing people over with their overpriced and outdated crap.
Just when I was thinking about getting the Quadlock case but was still unsure about it you just upload a review ! Perfect timing ! Thank you.
I'm getting back into bike ridding after 2 years of breaking my arm and I have watched for 3+ years I learned and I used your video to fix a tire! Great videos keep it up!!!
Same. And some tools that he reviews has saved me on the trials
Seth: Today we’re gonna do something a little different
Me and the whole channel fans in sync: but kinda the same!
YES!
It's so like an 80s game show lol
It's the channel's intro now. It wouldn't be right not to say it anymore.
On this channel:
30% reviews
20% building/storage organizing
20% vlogs/trips
20% bike stuff
10% pure entertainment
I was looking into a new phone mount for my hybrid. Really appreciate this as it is point me in a better direct than reading Amazon reviews for hours
Seth is so funny the Samsung nebula this just brightens my day up because I’m still sad about drama
Same
The irony is that the Nebula didn't work for most so it really didn't do a good job as a stunt double.
Hey Seth, i work at a bikeshop where we sell quadlock. And you said that you need a popular phone but ghat is not true. There are also universal adapters to stick on your phone(case). But i rally liked the review.
I’ll get a quad lock so I can watch Seth’s bike hacks during road rides lol
I believe the quad lock company is coming out with a mount that replaces your top cap. I think that’s gonna be the best for mountain biking
Great points Seth.
I own now a Fold 3 and want to mount it folded open, at least you have given me things to consider.
It’s great to see happy faces during this tough time. Drama will be missed dearly. RIP 😢
I personally use a GUB mount, and I can vouch for how good it is.
I’ve been in some nasty crashes and my phone never flew out of the mount or was hurt in anyway.
Same here. I have it on my bike for over one year and a half and is rock solid. I never doubt it when my phone is hooked up to it.
Same. I mounted it on the stem
There's not a SINGLE sharp edge or corner on this mount that would penetrate or damage human tissue in a fall, so I think even downhill MTB'ers are good to go
U kidding me bro? These reviews are amazing! I follow them and I still have a lot of Amazon returns! Man keep it going!
I thought you were serious about the Samsun “nebula” for a sec 😂 thought it was some weird new design
for my hardtail, I use an attachment called SP CONNECT, it is similar to quadlock, but much cheaper, if you choose the universal version, that is the one with a giant attachment with 3M double-sided tape to attach behind a cover (preferably smooth) I have it paid € 30 in all, and it came with 3000 accessories, I personally put it on the stem and I must also say with a pretty "fragile" cover I made rocky descents at full speed, and the phone did not move of a millimeter. To release and hook it, just turn it, and the mechanism releases it.
nice, i just copped the nebula, honestly i have never been happier in a phone in my life
These videos are higher quality than most Netflix shows
“Drama memorial drop...”

AlexStarRider It wasn’t meant to be?
@@northern_21 think hes laughing at your name? Maybe hopefully.. not the Drama RIP.
AlexStarRider tf is wrong with you?
lauging at his name
Great review! One more contender to throw in the mix: SP Connect. Similar to quad-lock, but the cases are thinner and there seem to be more accessories.
Keep up the great content we love it and we're all with u. Through this tough time.
Rip drama, my pet died yesterday and I know how it feels, you feel emptiness in your stomach cause you know their not there with you anymore. They will always be looking down at you and be happy they lived a good life, full of memories and cherish those good moments you had with them, hang on to them forever, WE are all supporting you during this sad time SETH, you are not alone!❤️❤️❤️

Thanks for the review on these mounts. Appreciate the time it took to give what appears to be an honest opinion/review.
When he said Drama memorial drop my heart dropped.
Just like drama
Seth: Today we’re gonna do something a little different
Me in sync: but kinda the same
This just popped up in my feed for some reason and it sparked my interest. I have been using the Quad Lock since the iPhone 6. Every model since I have picked up a new Quad Lock case for it. Love that case and mount system and works for so many things.
the fact that Seth can drop into a rock garden with such a nice phone is unhuman
Inhuman
Seth taking the phone and saying hello was everything 😂🤣
This vid was great for the info, I've been looking at quad lock for a few weeks and this has confirmed the stability issues I was worried about. Looking to get one now, thanks!
I'm running a cheap roam phone mount on my bike and so far has survived my local trails, it's nice having music without worrying about losing ear buds and sometimes use it to record my rides
"We're gonna be doing something a little different , but kinda the same" when is this being integrated in a shirt. must.. have.. now...
The drama memorial drop. Love it 💘
I have the Quad lock on my Harley and Goldwing too! Excellent mount system and you can get the rain cover too!
Welcome to another episode of Berm Peak Express, and today we’re gonna do something a little different...
