- Hey all! I promise I'm not becoming a semi-homemade chef, BUT I do cook these meals from time to time and we absolutely crave the heck out of them. I get asked all the time how I make these frozen meals so tasty and I thought I was time to finally share my not so secret "secret" with my orange chicken version. I hope you enjoy the recipe and please drop a comment if you do!

Totally agree with the pan frying. There's a few frozen items at Trader Joe's that are better suited to be fried in a pan and not put into the oven to bake.
I just tried their Portuguese bacalao tarts last night and the pastry was better than what I would make, so even as a hard-core from scratch cook, I have to hand it to TJ's, they make some unbeatable shortcuts
I also do a sweet and sour version. I quick fry any color peppers until tender; add garlic. At the end I add some canned pineapple and tomatoes and heat until warm. Delicious served with rice.
Great tip on doing the frozen chicken stovetop & not baked…thank you. This is very reassuring to cook up a healthy meal quickly. Looked delicious!😋
Fast and easy recipe for those busy days. ❤
I loveee trader joes orange chicken. I air fry the chicken first then pan fry it with with sauce soooo good
This has become a staple for me. I always tend to add either the everything bagel seasoning or sesame seeds to the orange chicken after glazing and it just adds a bit of an extra zing that it really needs.
Never thought to pan fry!! Awesome
I loved the format and execution of this video! I feel inspired in a way that I will actually be able to integrate into my life
The feel and visuals of this video remind me of those you did in your old kitchen years ago! Perfection! Love it so so much!
Orange Ckicken.Yes this looks great! From an old sub!
Literally made this last night that's wild. TJ's is great!
Looks great! I need to take a trip to Trader Joe's
This recipe is perfect. I did everything as in the recipe
The simplest things are the best. Glad you enjoyed it!
Fiiiine I'll go to Trader Joes for Orange Chicken and a dozen things I don't need, but will eat.
Lol!! Always
I’m not a big fan of most pre-packaged Chinese food, but I LOVE that Mandarin Orange Chicken from Trader Joe’s! I’ve only ever baked it, though, so I’m going to have to give that shallow fry method a try.
I usually add some heat by simmering the sauce with a dried red chili pepper, and I’ll add steamed broccoli and sliced water chestnuts for some extra crunch.
I’m the same, but when I find a good product I’m loyal to it. Definitely adding the chili pepper next time! Brilliant
I air fry the chicken and add some garlic, ginger and chilli onion crisp.

Hey! Got anything good for rhubarb season coming up?
Oooooh! I will now. Most likely I’ll be making a clafoutis with it, but we’ll see!
Yummy! As I live in the UK where there’s no Trader’s Joe’s I’ll look forward to the made from scratch one. 😀 drooling whilst watching this. 😋
I was gonna saw Aldi owns Trader Joe’s , but it’s Aldi Nord and apparently the UK’s Aldi is Aldi sud which is the same company as US Aldi ugh 😩
But I too am looking forward to the from scratch version cause Trader Joe’s are always cursed with no parking space 😂 so I rather not go there
@@koudelkaslayer oh I’d forgotten about Aldi but ok still not good enough haha. And sorry about the parking there! But I’m sure Byron’s made from scratch will be even more delicious anyway! 🥰
谢谢

How much for a plate
What is the brand of your rice cooker ?
It’s called a Musui-Kamado and it’s from Vermicular. www.vermicular.us
I absolutely love it!
@@ByronTalbott Thanks for the info!
Air fryer works best.
I put chicken in air fryer
Looks good, but I wonder about the volume of water poured down the drain from rinsing rice and blanching broccoli.
What do y'all think about diverting that water for watering an herb garden or vegetables, etc.
Water is more precious than ever.
I couldn’t agree more and wish my sink had a diverter for these applications… maybe one day otherwise doing it outside means I need an outdoor wash station…
Useless recipe since there's no such product here!
