  • You wont find me whipping up a wood-fired pizza during the summer too often, but I sure love a refreshing take on one with garden-based ingredients and a herb forward pesto sauce to really highlight the warm season. I have been toiling in the garden the last few weeks and kept telling myself to put something like this together since I have all the herbs to play around with, so I really hope you enjoy the recipe and shoot me some recipe requests in the comments!

    Hey Byron! What impresses me more than your cooking chops is your modesty. You don't sensationalise your content, nor do you treat the process as a performance. Other channels should definitely take note. Well done! :)

      Very very much appreciated! Only problem is that it seems most folks nowadays are really drawn towards fast paced food channels. I might be a bit slow for the current youth. Lol. Thank you for the recognition though! It is duly noted

      @@ByronTalbottas a current youth (18) I can say that I love ur channel and the only reason I don’t rlly cook is cause my broke ass can’t rlly afford to lol. I survive off of microwaved food and food from my job (I work at Taco Bell) I’ve always wanted to cook tho. It’s why I love ur channel I don’t mean to sound selfish but watching u is like seeing my dream come true in someone else and it brings me joy

    Looks amazing. We just got our shipment of wine, olive oil, and balsamic from our trip to Tuscany. Need to make this and use some of that oil and vinegar to drizzle along with a nice bottle of Brunello di Montalcino. Anything to take me back there in spirit :)

    A little secret I like. If you add dill to your dough, it makes a great dill Dough. Dill dough is delicious. as a matter of fact, pickle bacon ranch is one of my favorite pizzas. I bet if this was a dill dough it would be soo good with the rest of the ingredients you had. Could you make a dill dough episode? That would be super.

      You absolutely can!! You just might have to crank that oven up to it’s highest setting (usually 550f) for about 30 minutes and you can easily make a flatbread such as the one I made. Maybe even better.

    Hey, Byron! I am wondering if you would do something GLUTEN-FREE. 1 of my friend's kids has just been diagnosed with Celiac Disease. So gluten is BAD for him to eat from now on. He is Oliver's age, too, so his family has a lot to learn about how he is supposed to eat. Anything you can think of to make, without GLUTEN, would be great. Please and thank you!

    Maybe consider keeping your cat inside? Outside cats have less than half the average lifespan, and most often die a gruesome death. It's perfectly possible to make a wonderful home for a cat with some catification - cat shelves, maybe a catio, cat trees. Please consider.

    • @ByronTalbott
      @ByronTalbott  10 місяців тому +1

      I completely understand the concern and am well aware of the statistics behind outdoor cats. My first cat was an outdoor cat and unfortunately it did get caught by something when I lived back in SoCal... that being said it wouldn't have lived any other way. It hated being inside and would be very vocal about its indoor stress. There's so much to learn about domesticated cats and I prefer to allow my cat (within reason) to live as It wishes. I treat my dogs in the same manner, but they do prefer to be indoors more so than any cat I've ever owned. Our current feline enjoys the outdoors very much so, but she is a 50/50 type of cat. Half inside and half outside for the most part.... she's also very good about coming inside when called unlike my first male cat. None the less, I do believe animals live a more well rounded life when allowed to roam free occasionally and that does come with certain risks.
