I made the chocolate shortbread and the recipe was peeeerfect. It's so satisfying taking the slab of dough out of the fridge. I cut mine evenly and then for a few of them I piped in a chocolate icing and it was fantastic! these cookies definitely taste even better the day after as well.

I was confused and my short bread crumbled as I cut through it from the freezer.😔. Though tastes nice. But was just breaking apart😥 Will try again I guess. Cheers
Hi dear. If you can't find matcha or don't desire them, you can always replace with anything green you can find, I have come across pea flour which is green. Alternatively, without the greens, you can replace the same amount with any flour or ground almonds
@@gracioustreatz7231 Instead of chopping the pistachios like you did could I blitz them up into a powder then use that as my flour substitute? I really want the pistachio flavor to be strong. Some of the shortbread recipes I've used in the past are softer after baking. Can I do that with these? How long would you suggest they bake for to get them softer? I have a freshly opened bag that I need to use up. These would make a perfect bake to just do that... 😋

Hi Valentina. If you've tried green tea, that's what matcha taste like. Without sugar, there's a little bitterness in green tea. I'm not a big fan of matcha, but this will be a nice variations to make cookies some natural colours instead of adding colouring to them. They are very easy and delicious I have to say. Is there any particular reason for using coconut oil? Shortbread normally used butter based. Perhaps vegan butter, margarine or even ghee, will work too 💖
