I'm surprised I haven't watched this video until now, I always wondered how to get interior images like this. Definitely going to try these tips next time! You did a great job walking us through it! You should have at least 20x the views and subs man, quality is up there with all the other great UA-cam channels
Kyle, thank you so much for saying that dude. I’m flattered you’d think that. I struggle to put time aside to make these videos so I am stoked when people truly appreciate it. It means more than you can know.
@@ShootingDave Of course! I know it can take hours to edit one image in photoshop so I can only imagine the effort that goes into making a video like this. I also appreciate the tips on getting the word out regarding magazines, I was watching your vids on getting your work in a magazine and it was very helpful to learn as well. I'm hoping as I keep practicing I can get more efficient with editing a set sometimes it feels like it takes forever and I just want to go take more images haha.
Haha I know the feeling man. I need to get back into the swing of things again. I haven’t shot anything in ages.
Fantastic.....as usual.
Thank you dude
AOA Angle Of Attack, now we are talking Novalogic F-22 Lightning 3 game, awesome video Dave!
Thanks Moe for gracing the channel 😊 glad you liked the reference haha
oh wow, even Moe is here :)
@@dsv off course :) Dave is an incredible light painting Ninja 🥷
Great video Dave!
Thanks man
Really great video! Thank you.
You’re welcome
nice, loving this technique, i hope i could make better interior lightings in cg
awesome man, yeah glad you like it. I basically use the same sort of techniques in cgi
Your videos are fire man! Such great practical knowledge. I need to try doing an interior now, too!
Always on point with your timing! Hoping to light paint an E63 this weekend and was gonna give the interior a go, now I definitely will!
LMAO thanks man. Maybe I am just in sync with you all
Really good tutorial, easily best of interior lightpainting tutorials! I really like those animations how you move while exposuring the shot, it makes understanding it way easier. Now that you made this, i need to give it a second try, i wasnt much happy with first try because i had no idea what to do :d
Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed the animations. Sometimes showing is easier than explaining haha
@@ShootingDave like they say, picture says more than a thousand words😂
appreciate this vid alot, any tips on composing the shots ? have a method to try out now with pproaching lighting inside
thanks man, glad you liked it. With regards to composing, you really have to look at all the elements in the car. If you're doing an "overview" shot like this then you might want to make sure you can see some of the seats, the dash and everything the driver might interact with.
Nice work as always! A great video idea (in my own humble opinion!) might be to do an lighting equipment video. Basically one of those "what I use" kind of productions with some BTS clips using the various lights with narration on what you're doing and thinking, and of course... why... Your interior light tool for example, is probably fairly small whereas an exterior whole-car light is much bigger. Which lights are YOU using...?
Well that can be arranged, thanks for the idea man and glad you liked the video
@@ShootingDave Always a fan my friend... always a fan!
Why the pass through on the second to last layer? Curious
I explained it in the video, it had the AMG logo showing. If I set stuff to screen or lighten ontop of it, it showed through.
Or do you mean why did I skip over it? There was nothing special, just lighten as the blend mode
