Those kids are adorable. My daughter is the same age as Madeenia and I reckon they'd have a great time playing there. Sometimes I wish I could just pack up my family and move to a remote island like this. The community on these small islands is so much more closely knit than most highly populated places. Perfect for raising a family.
the church choir was so powerful and touching. I just can't believe such a tiny place is a home to many people living so far away from us and so content. So glad you guys did not skip this island.
Thank you for taking us to church. Those children are so precious. Picking up the plastic....There's reality for you. Our garbage on their beautiful beach. These trips you are taking us on are amazing. Thank you so much.
Nikki, Jason, I can't imagine what its like to float up to a mooring ball, tie off, and be accepted into, and being adopted by a local family. That when you think about it just blown my mind. I would so love to be doing exactly what you two are doing. Thank you for taking all of us along.
Little Henry looks destined to be a great leader in his community. Loved the singing! I can't wait until next weeks' episode to see more of this tiny island and the people.
Wags and Paula! So great to see our old neighbors from Kailua on this channel! Have been really enjoying all of these videos. Thank you guys so much for posting such great content.
This is one of my absolute favorite videos. Clearly, you are not just tourists here, but part of island life, even if it is still temporary. Would love to visit someday.
As someone who grew up listening to Organs and big Chiors, being a musician myself and experiencing the wonders of music: That singing is something I want to go experience. it was FANTASTIC, and probably much better in person to!!!!
I loved this episode! I teared up because of the church hymns and I could feel the warmth of the community. What a great episode and I can’t wait to learn more about the people and your experience there.
So I just have to say, after watching a number of sailing channels....why I like yours the best...even compared to that one that starts with an L. You give us a complete tour....a little history, a little education, a view of the different foods where you are, a view of the habitat, wildlife, and marine life., your nautical charts, your enthusiastic personalities, and the people you meet, and great videography just to name a few. Other channels don’t ( only other is old seadog, ruby rose maybe) give such a awesome complete view...and not to the level of inspirational views that you two do. And your beautiful cats....bonus❤️ Thanks for sharing yourselves and the world in so many ways 😊
I watch this channel occasionally. I like Sailing La Vagabond best, I think. Not sure. Those two are very much in love, have fun friends, traveled Africa, the Mediterranean, New Zealand and along the Eastern coast of the USA and more. They remain in some places, fish hunting and exploring. They're calming... This vid isn't like the norm. It was tense, or more than usual.
I watch your channel faithfully, I started when you two were RVing years ago and have enjoyed your journey with you both . 😊I love your videography and the level of honesty that you bring. You and Delos are in a tie for favorite, you both are so good I can't pick one over the other 💕
I like these guys better, La Vagabond were handed a cat on lease and have to perform like trained seals to keep their views up and keep it. These two are much more natural.

being a church going christian myself, i found this episode quite satisfying and encouraging, that beautiful rainbow really looked heavenly and those islanders ;as usual so friendly.(kids adorable). glad your feeling better Jason, you guys are in my prayers. Big Love.Xx
I was worried about your boat when you left her in such high winds. The kids look so cute and friendly. Looks like you had a great time. I think it is fine that they ask visitors to help deliver needed items on the way to the island.
Ahhh...this episode was WONDERful! We loved it! What a special and rare opportunity for ALL of us to experience such a sweet & remote island & family. Seeing the wave action as s/v Curiosity flew across the water was really cool to see! The island's hospitality extended to visitors is really sweet, along with the care they take to keep their island home special. It is tragic to see that much plastic washing up on their shores, yet it is so important and good for you to share this reality. Reminders of how we are all connected is so important for us all to see and feel. Thank you for sharing your adventures. They inspire and open windows & hearts to our beautiful world!
Now that’s how we all should treat the people that come to see and visit were ever we live . Would make for a better world ,plus the bonus is that you get to meat others from around the world . And have new friends for life . Thanks for sharing this with all of us . Was probably a hard editing in those ruff waters ,and worrying about the boat . So thanks again for all the time you two put in to sharing your life and travels with us . From Steve stott in sutherlin Oregon u.s.a.
What a way to start a Sunday Morning. WOW that was a wonderful intro to this new amazing place of your travels. You two are sharing things that most of us don't even know that exist much less will ever see in person. Thanks Guy's.
The church singing got to my soul! It made me so emotional hearing it thinking of all the old helms we would sing at my church home in the beginning 💛💛 this island is beautiful!
This short snapshot of island life whets the appetite for more. Please, a bit more of island life here on this small piece of unencumbered, tranquil living. Your site is among the very best for life as it is away from the hustle of big city life. Thanks for sharing. So appreciated.
I think this has to be the best part of your travels. Getting to meet great people in their own habitat, their own way of living and seeing their daily struggles. Thanks for sharing this with us.
You all keep breaking the mold and I keep watching!!!!! You have touched countless viewers in a special way. The world is better because of your presence. 🥇🥇🥇🍻. Cheers 👍🇺🇸😎
I’m so glad you travelled to this little island, I’ve been trying to find an actual, quality video about it and you guys provided it. Thank you so much :)
I remember reading about Palmerston through the blogs of s/v Bumfuzzle and s/v Slapdash years ago...and thought it was the neatest thing ever to arrive to such a remote island and be adopted into the families. It was actually what gave me the final push to want to go cruising! So happy that you've had the chance to experience it and are able to share it with all of us. 😀
How many of you have dreams? Are they just dreams or are your pursuing them? These two and many like them are the reason why I'm studying for my captain license. This world is filled with so many amazing people. I'm reminded of Anthony Bourdain and his shows. He showed us if we just sit down and break bread with someone it can change things. Yes we are a planet of my different people, cultures, races and and religions but yet in the end we are all human. I hope someday we can drop all the bs and realize we all should just live together. We have to try to get along on this little blue rock floating through the universe. Until then choose to see all of humility first and will do my part one person at a time. Enjoy your Sunday.
Ps from the himalyan hermit . Your oceans travel journey, offered on youtube ,is a nice reminder for me ,for what i miss the most ,expanse of water and travel adventures . Thank you and all the best !
Do you ever watch some of your old vlogs and think of how far you have come and how much you have accomplished. I love your vlogs so much! You two have amazing personalities and always makes me smile. Thank you for making me feel warm during a cold winter ❣
I watch faithfully; but rarely comment. Of all the great vlogs this moves to the top. It was neat to see Henry picking up debris and planting a tree, apparently on his own. Well done ⛵⛵⛵⛵⛵
Sincerely emotional watching this episode. I started typing a long explanation, but I don't feel it necessary, so backspace backspace. In summary, truly thankful that you shared this with us.
Are (or were) the Cook Islands claimed by Britain? 2nd Lord Palmerston was First Lord of the Admiralty, the political post in charge of the Navy, at the time that Cap. Cook landed on the island. (His son, 3rd Lord Palmerston, was Prime Minister - several times - and Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs in various governments and political parties in Queen Victoria's governments.) It's wonderful that the people who live there are so friendly and open. More paradise, freely and lovingly shared. Magic. What a great experience! I hope that you got through the rough weather OK. What an incredible experience to be welcomed into the community. It is a joy to watch your videos and share just a bit in your adventures. Jason I hope you are feeling better and that the weather allows you a break from the sea sickness.

Such a awesome experience. Thank you for sharing with us. It's amazing how much you opened my little world by sharing these places and the people you meet along the way.
Love how you guys still pay attention to basic safety , always notice you both wearing PFD's and your safety tag line in place for going to the sail area. Noted on numerous episodes in past so shows how you guys paid attention during your sailing training back in FL. Follow quite a few sailing sites that I enjoy as much as you guys, but disappointed often when you see the families and kids going out on foredeck to retrieve lines or such or fishing from aft scoop etc and nobody even has a PFD on while underway at a reasonable speed. Good to see you both are setting good example underway.
Your cinematography skills always show the adventure and a story. So sorry SOMEONE got sick! As always, thank you for putting yourself out there. I no longer travel the world and you help keep so many great memories alive for me. Cheers
How amazing to visit this tiny community. I love how they care for the land and to the beach cleanup - a lesson for us all! See you next Sunday! SV KAIMANA.
Loved this episode it was so nice you guys got to help with a package delivery, go to church and clean up the beach. I hope you two are getting rest and seeing lots of relatives and friends in Texas.
Would love to hear more about how they maintain & sustain. How often do supply ships come, how do they deal with medical issues, how are kids educated, how many kids grow up & leave vs stay or return to the island, etc. Thanks for the wonderful videos!
only sailing curiosity could find the smallest island on the planet with people who have it all figured out. The photos, the people, the music, amazing and beautiful. There needs to be a better phrase to express gratitude to the two of you. until then Thank you.

And very cool that you visited this place. When I saw that it was on your route, I was excited to see what you would see there.
Truly amazing place to live and grow up. Its hard to imagine people living this way when you think about all that we have in our communities but I love their simple life and I think in many ways they are better off, at least spiritually and mentally then we are because we are so weighed down by all our “things’. Enjoying you sharing this insight in to this part of the world and of cours I especially love love more of the sights and sounds.
This is the island I’ve been looking for, And you’ve found it for me. I love that you guys seek out these small remote places that most avoid and become...family with the locals. I think that I will charter a boat and find Palmerston, build a beach shack and finish the novel that I’ve been working on for many years. i think I will be able to get past page 2 at a place like that...
As always, AMAZING episode guys, you always have a great adventure wherever you go. Thanks for taking us along with you!! Fair Wynns and Following Seas Curiosity !!

I’m so happy when I get to watch another video from my favorite UA-camrs. Thank you so much.
