Thanks George! I have to watch it again! If I have this on while I'm doing housework I have to keep stopping and going back! Everything is too interesting that I have to see what you're describing! You are a wealth of info! But I'm not getting any work done! Also, like that you've been showing more jewelry! Enjoy your videos like crazy!
It’s so hard to find Riviera without chips so I’m not sure $250 was a good buy for the set-For sure a wise pass. Fun sale with so much eye candy. Thanks for bringing us along, George!
George, The Antique Nomad, I can easily transport myself from rural north central Texas, south of Fort Worth, to this grand old Florida house perusing every nook and cranny! The owners seem to be collectors of the exact type that I am! I understand their wants and desires when they sourced their collections. This will be what estate sale shoppers will discover when they, the scavengers/buzzards, scour my collected possessions at the final display of my “goodies.” They will find one or more of everything on the planet if it’s something that has caught my eye over my lifetime. My FAVORITES WILL BE FOUND IN THE DOZENS! George, you are a fantastical tour guide of estate sales, I would be honored to accompany you on a walk-through of an estate sale if it could hever be possible. Until then, I will be happily satisfied with going side by side with you in your videos. Watching you at every opportunity. . . your follower, fan, friend and Third Level Member of Patreon, Judy in Texas. ❤🎉❤🎉❤
Well, Judith, I'm so glad you recognized yourself and your collections in this place, it was such a wonderful home! I'm so glad you can come with me vicariously, and perhaps I'll get to your part of Texas, I know there's good sales there too
That house is stunning! While they had many items that had chips and cracks, all I could think is how wonderful that they USED their China and pottery pieces and loved them! It was a home, not a museum. Good for them!
I never knew where the secretary that my dad and I purchased at a antique store for $100 in 1968 came from. Larkin soap! I learn so much from you. I'm glad I still have the secretary -- it's in pristine condition! While its a little "more" than the one you showed here -- the decoration and finish is the same!!
Good evening, George. Arrrggg! I would love to have that antique chess table! Loved that piece! I have a complete water set of the Westmoreland _Shell and Jewel_ like that pitcher. The reverse painting, on the glass, was pretty. George, if I had that hanging display, and you wanted to paint it white, you'd get swatted 😂 I liked the English tall case clock. You can try using hairspray, on the ink stain on the quilt. Hair spray will take ink out of fabric a lot of the time. They had some really nice furniture there. I really liked the Victorian furniture. There were some really good items there. I would've been tempted on a lot of it. Thanks for taking us along!
Shoot! I really liked that table, and a lot more, but had no room to acquire. The Shell and Jewel, a name I should've remembered and a favorite design of mine. I wouldn't be the one to paint, but I also can't fix veneer damage well, so it had to stay. I liked the clock too, they're so underrated and there's a lone clock dealer in the area, they should just have sold it cheap to him so he can hang on to the nice ones for the future. I will try hair spray, it can work really well but I'm not sure if it's an old old stain that's set, we'll try. I liked SO much of the furniture, so underappreciated in Florida and so needing to be taken to your area to sell. I had fun and I'm glad you did too!
@@TheAntiqueNomad Do you remember how much they were asking for the chess table? I used to have one, but I got rid of it when I moved here. It was more like a kit that you had to put together...likely a Bombay Co. piece. I got it at a flea market really cheap. Veneer damage can be aggravating, but as long as you have a piece that will match the existing veneer, it isn't too bad to do. Maybe soaking the ink spot with hair spray will remove it...or, at least, most of it. It's amasing at how different styles of furniture have regional appeal. There's some mid-century glassware I like, but not so much the furniture. I remember mom telling me she detested the blonde furniture of the 1950s, even when it was new. It would be interesting to discover just what determines what appeals to different regions/locations, from furniture, to glassware, to lighting and even lawn decor and jewelry.
I think the owners didn't mind misfit (lightly damaged) pieces. That is exactly how I collect. Nothing on earth is perfect, and some dings just means it was used and enjoyed. That's the way life is supposed to be. Enjoyed
I agree! The appeal is definitely there for a lot of people, but it's very ornate in a way that maybe seems foreign or ostentatious to some North American tastes
I've used a Tide Pen to clean a pillow I made 40 years ago which had an old water stain and it came out great, no more stain. I also used it on the face of an old Yo-Yo doll in which a child, one presumes, had drawn a design in pen. At first the Tide Pen made the old red embroidery thread bleed but I went back a few days later and it cleaned most of the pen and bleeding. I thought it may help with your new quilt.
The double figurine looked great in front of the green platter. Beautiful neighborhood and houses. The outside facade was gorgeous. BUT, looked like a money pit. Lol. Prices were great and I'm glad you found items. Also glad you have your cousin as a shopping travel buddy. Love seeing carl along. Safety in numbers George, your swag is on point. Buy the coat!
Oh! Those silhouettes with the convex glass. I have collected 7 from Jeffrey. I sure hope you got the pirate ship one 🙏🏻. Or the one with the Crosshatched window. I would really treasure those. ❤️🐩 And YES! The cork scenes.
Two for $75 omg I would get it gorgeous for end tables for bedroom tables or living room tables awesome 😎 also a great finds are furniture 😮 in a 😊😊😊❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
This horse you took is from the sixties. It's from China and rose wood and they sold them here in Germany in a bulk, six horses in diffent shapes and not expensive. I bought them because I liked China wood things.
What an amazing sake. The home that had the sale is beautiful. Thank you for Sharing. I really like the Asian decor. Please Stay Safe Happy and Healthy Have A Wonderful Day
Oh. My. God. That. House!!!!! The tile floors were amazing! I hope the new owner doesnt tear them up or put carpeting over them. I could happily live there but cant do stairs anymore. That may be why the owners are leaving as well.
George, I love your videos and so appreciate your sharing your knowledge with us. Only suggestion that I have is to slow the banners down a little. I try to read them but some are just too fast. Keep up the good work!
Very interesting sale in FL. Would not think to see such wonderful finds in that location. Keep up the unusual sales please. Great educational sale! Thank you, That coat is just YOU man!!!
05:00 I saw some jewelry that I'd have dug into but George passed over while talking about things that were left behind.😂😂 I'd have checked the "junk" bag too. Bought one recently for a dollar and found a 10k necklace in it.
Very interesting sale: the owner seems to have collected a lot of damaged items, probably getting them cheaply. Great to see you looking at and talking about Asian pieces. I would have spent a lot of time examining the Chinese porcelain, looking for the undamaged ones!
That's an interesting house with some beautiful furniture and items. I love that green Majolica jourdinaire. 1:35 ( not sure spelling) I like the prints in the small frames you got, too.❣️
That was a great estate sale, it's just too bad alot of objects were cracked or chipped. I don't blame you at all for being picky, you have to have undamaged stuff to make a profit
Loved that video. So great to see that Persian lamb. I just bought a muff that is silk lined and Persian lamb. I just love it. I will never use it but I love it lol
I am finally getting caught up on your videos. Thank you, as always, for sharing! 😊 Edit- I really like the Asian cork pieces. They are so intricate & beautiful to me.

I think so too!

Hey Folks, we can thank George by SHARING his video with a friend or two! Move him toward 65k 😅
Thank you!!
Great house! Love the Asian bar! Thanks for taking us along.
Asian pieces are great for tying various designs into a cohesive eclectic room. The Asian lines work great with so many different styles.
True that!
I love asian arts and it's wild to me that their appeal is not more universal. The family had an amazing home and great taste.
I agree! The appeal is definitely there for a lot of people, but it's very ornate in a way that maybe seems foreign or ostentatious to some North American tastes
The cloisonné lamp was drop dead gorgeous, I love the yellow!
Yes!
Look at that beautiful old house. This could be very interesting. Hopefully I will catch the live and if not, then in replay.

You're right on all counts, I'm sure! A friend of mine is restoring one three houses down very similar to this, and it will take tens of thousands.
Black and white silhouettes are great. I hope you were able to get some!

Beautiful house. ❤❤
I love this sale, I think you are right, pick the things in perfect condition. I couldn't do this as a business because I can never make a decision.
So much fun,😊ty
I like the jacket you tried on. The fur looks like it is in good condition.
I love the silhouette pictures. I have picked up 2 I could afford. A little damage doesn't bother me.
If it's for you and you don't mind, damage is fine! I own a few things that are sub-prime. But for resale, I'm picky
That was a great estate sale, it's just too bad alot of objects were cracked or chipped. I don't blame you at all for being picky, you have to have undamaged stuff to make a profit
Great estate video. Thank you.
