I listened to this entire album/tape every night when I was in Desert Storm. This music kept me sane(insane) until I made it back to the world. So many emotions and and feelings were going through my head. Bravo ladies. Never give up. USN Combat Vet 86-92.
My first Metallica album was" And Justice For All! I also saw them on this tour, Damaged Justice in April 1989! Great review ladies! Keep up the good work! 😊🇨🇦🤘♥️
This song is indeed about nuclear war, or more specifically, the after effects of nuclear winter on Mother Earth. The song was written during the height of the Cold War, so escalations to nuclear war was something that various folks had some worries about off and on back then. Some folks think this song is about the effects of climate change, and it can work for that too.
Also anybody who like this should search "And justice for Jason". It beefs up the bass on the entire album actually making Jason's bas splaying audible, and this song is MEAN with the the thicker bottom end.
You two remind me of me and my brother when we were your ages in 1971 and discovered Led Zeppelin Deep Purple, Black Sabbath etc. Now you both need to do what we did. Our parents bought us guitars and we took lessons for months. We could play everything we heard. Awesome reaction. ....
@@danasfaith5738 hey guys I love watching yalls videos LMAO little nervous I highly yall either listen to Jeremy live by Pearl Jam or to live is to die by Metallica to dang good songs
I had a cassette with ...And Justice for All. It was one of the first full music records I ever heard. I did not understand anything about this back then. I did not understand English, I would not have understood the lyrics anyway. I had no idea why it is so heavy. Later on I went through various other genres and styles. But now some decades later, I am pretty sure that this album influenced my musical tastes significantly. The whailing intro of Blackened is permanently burned into my brain.
The diversity of your channel is incredible but I love that you always come back to the metal! That was fun to watch.... and a it's a great tune as well.
Saw Metallica on the Damaged Justice tour back in January of 1989 in Beaumont Texas and this was the song they opened with. Met Kirk Hammett after the show and he signed my cap.
I used to study into the late night ours when I was at school in 80''s and when I was feeling sleepy, I used to put this song on to get me going for another hour or 2... LOL

That epic sound of ...And Justice for All!! The first song I heard is One... but when I bought the album and heard the first song (Blackened), I knew this will be a monster of an album!! Please also react to The Shortest Straw and Frayed Ends of Sanity!! You rule!!!
Im 52 and from the East Bay Area/ SF. My first Metallica show was in Nov. 1983, I was 14! I've seen Metallica with Cliff Burton 6 times, 3 times with Jason and 0 with.... Rob..Exodus, Testament, Machinehead, Death Angel..Metallica, this was our scene. You Really REALLY, REALLY need to check out a Book and/or the Movie "Murder in the Front Row" as does everyone who reads this comment!! That was/is our scene. You two are awesome and give me hope!

I have been a Metallica fan for years (since the band first started). Talk about being blown away by that sound of theirs. As a teen back then, this was new to all of us and we loved it and wanted more. Great singing ladies and awesome reaction, as always. "Justice" is SUCH an angry album. It came on the heels of the death of Cliff Burton and so I think the music reflects the pain they were feeling. Great vid! Love watching you guys! More please....?!
Orion, Call of Ktulu, and Anesthesia (Pulling Teeth) next please!!! The first two I recommend the studio version but for Anesthesia, do the 1983 version in Chicago
Yes, age has caught up to them and they did release a couple non-metal albums(Load/reload). But this is still the best metal band to grace this Earth and its not even close. And i have the same master of puppets shirt! I also have a ride the lightning shirt that even though its very worn, i refuse to part with it. Also not sure on your theory on the laptop returning xD
I find this song main riff to be hardest to play of all metallica songs. Even though it's not as fast as master of puppets, but those 16th notes at the end give me troubles to play cleanly.
Good job, this song is about us killing mother Earth. Listen to the rest of the album of And Justice For All, all of the songs are great and they all tell a really great song each and every one.
