@@jeffspalding5368 I think that's unfair. It was the whole band who did it. IMO And Justice For All is perfect as it is and whether or not it was an insult to Jason on bass is irrelevant imo because the way they mastered the album is the way that brought it to fame. Metallica's 4th album came in 1988 after the death of their bassist Cliff Burton in 1986... the band was involved in the tour bus accident. The loss of his friend re-traumatized James Hetfield, who already had a rough upbringing - his father left, his mom died from cancer while he was a teen... and when they worked on the lyrics and music for this album w/ bassist Jason Newsted joining the band, he delivered some of the heaviest riffs of his life. And all his lyrics were just raging at everything... the whole album, "EVERYTHING EFFIN SUCKS!" "Blackened" - our world is eff'd... "And justice for all" - our legal system is BS!... "Eye of the beholder" - "our 'freedom' is an effin joke!"... 'One' - war has eff'd me up... and on and on... One of the best record ever put on tape (even w/ the bass faded out) 🤘🤘🔥🔥
Fun fact, the intro to the song is actually being played in reverse. There's a video somewhere of the actual riff they're playing being done forward then in reverse so you can hear the fade in and fade out

My favorite Metallica album! Used to listen to this when I was in the army. Was 20 years old and got me pumped! Shortest Straw off this album is my fav. Keep rocking guys!
And Justice for All is arguably one of the best Metallica albums ever. I do not think there is a song on that album that sux, I can't wait for you guys to hear Dyers Eve!!! Great video! Keep up the good work!
I really wanna see Brandon react to Orion off Master of Puppets... he really seems to have an appreciation for the tempo changes and atmosphere Metallica built in the glory days...
It is unfortunate that hard rock and metal get such a bad reputation from some. It's loud, people don't like THAT and therefore the lyrics must be evil. That seems to be the assumption. Glad you all are seeing that for what it is. Metallica are pretty good guys, there's definitely a lot of meaning to their songs, same with Megadeth.
-Call of Cthulu -Orion -To Live is to die -Suicide and Redemption these are Metallica's instrumental songs, and all of 'em are ABSOLUTE bangers, specially "Orion" they have a trilogy songs called "Unforgiven" those are cool too, specially the first part
You're guys are truly amazing sincere. I watch your videos w/reactions on my fav songs and it's make me feel like I listen to it for the first time because of you! I was 15 when i heard this. Before then, I’d only heard church music and a few cheesy songs, never rock. I was instantly hooked, of course. I’m 49 now, and still rocking out
This is the first hard rock song I ever heard. I was 15. Elvira by Oak Ridge Boys was heaviest music I'd heard before that, except when I heard Welcome to the Machine by Pink Floyd when I was 9. This blew my mind. I've been a rocker ever since. Great song
I got that album for Christmas over 30 years ago. It went missing until I found it under my parents bed. I think the mother put to death lined scared the sh$@ out of them. Obviously it’s Mother Earth. But imagine that line blasting from upstairs to that music. Can’t say I blame them.
so many great metallic songs I have tons metallica cds and all them are great cds and almost all songs every cd are great.metallica live concert amazing always different but flames and big bangs from pyro technics explosion going off also especially when seen in the 90s you could feel the heat coming off the flames was crazy and I wasn't even that close.if you guys get a chance then go see them live.
This is the very first metallica song I ever heard at 12 years old...just a few weeks after it came out...I was instantly hooked! Been a fan ever since!
Love the reactions! You should check out some Slayer (Raining Blood or Angel of Death) and Anthrax (Indians or Caught in a Mosh)... together with Metallica and Megadeth they made up the "Big Four of Thrash" and were instrumental in shaping the course of metal through the 90s
As much as I love Metallica, I've never been blown away by Lars' drumming following this album. ...And Justice for All probably has my favorite rhythms of his before the decline of his technique.
It is cool that you are getting a taste of the music I was jamming to in my day. I also listened to the hell out of RUN DMC Raising Hell. The metal bands were angry at the same system Rap bands are pissed at. React to Megadeth Rust in piece Hanger 18 or Polaris, the actual name of the nukes we have. Polaris. Music brings us together on common music ground. Love This guy's!!!!!!!!
Great reaction! If you want more songs with great messages from similar rock bands I’d suggest “The Shortest Straw” by Metallica based on the book “Naming Names”; “Peace Sells…but Who’s Buying” by Megadeth; “Indians” by Anthrax; “House of Suffering” by Bad Brains; “Pride” by Living Colour; “Driven To Tears” by The Police and “Subdivisions” by Rush!!
If y'all are continuing with Metallica then try out "Spit out the Bone" from one of their newer albums. Goes back to their thrash metal and hits so damn hard. The music video is pretty dope as well.
I binge you guys while I work! (I work from home). Keep up the great content guys! I’m loving it! I love the reactions to music that us metal heads hold sacred.
I like it. The young guys are coming a bit into my world, like how I came a bit in to their world, before they were born. I became a hip-hop head (as well) over 30 years ago by kids the same age as them, introducing me to their culture and music.

There's nothing bad on this album, but the Title track "And Justice For All" is it. That song is so legendary and timeless.
The only thing bad is that the bass is a bit too volume low
And One is a masterpiece that every person who has appreciation for music that I’ve met, regardless if they like metal, really enjoys

Yes they need to. Those are classic Megadeth songs 🤘😊
This what the world needs more young men like you with open minds
And Justice for All is arguably one of the best Metallica albums ever. I do not think there is a song on that album that sux, I can't wait for you guys to hear Dyers Eve!!! Great video! Keep up the good work!
I felt that way about their first 4 or 5 albums. Yes, including the Black album. Of course it was the music of my youth. It all still holds up though.
@@waynecanning4122 I can see that. Looks like we grew up around the sane time with those albums.
Great Song, Great Lyrics, Great Riffs, Great Solos, AMAZING SONG ONE OF THE BEST
I really wanna see Brandon react to Orion off Master of Puppets... he really seems to have an appreciation for the tempo changes and atmosphere Metallica built in the glory days...
Metallica has the cleanest transitions ever its always flawless
Awwwwew Yeaahhhhhh! If you don't like this one I will be thoroughly surprised!! Enjoy the masterpiece that is this album
Get the fire extinguishers ready!!
It gladdwns my heart to see you all be so blown away by music that changed my life. 1 luv.
-Call of Cthulu
-Orion
-To Live is to die
-Suicide and Redemption
these are Metallica's instrumental songs, and all of 'em are ABSOLUTE bangers, specially "Orion"
they have a trilogy songs called "Unforgiven" those are cool too, specially the first part
You're guys are truly amazing sincere. I watch your videos w/reactions on my fav songs and it's make me feel like I listen to it for the first time because of you! Unbelievable feeling, thank you for your videos. Blackened is my fav song of the fav album of the fav band, I even have a cover of it on my channel, check it out, it's nearly last one! 🙂🤘
I was 15 when i heard this. Before then, I’d only heard church music and a few cheesy songs, never rock. I was instantly hooked, of course. I’m 49 now, and still rocking out
13:44 is one of my favorite parts of any song ever. I just absolutely love that when the solo kicks in, always have.
FINALLY! I'M SO HAPPY U GUYS FINALLY DID A REACTION VIDEO FOR THIS SONG! 🤘🏽
You guys should listen to Sepulura. Songs like Refuse/Resist, Altered State, or Attitude.
Or War for Territory, my fav
Dead Embryonic Cells is so good. Love Sepultura.
I love watching your Metallica reaction videos, they are so entertaining and fun to watch. I have been a Metallica fan since I was a teenager. :)
"To live is to die" is the best track from this outstanding album
Yes 🤘
One is the best track from the album
@@t7mf nah. Not even in the top 5.
@@vistringer Bro you think to live is to die is a top 5 song don’t ever form an opinion again 😂
@@t7mf haha. Mmmkay
This is the first hard rock song I ever heard. I was 15. Elvira by Oak Ridge Boys was heaviest music I'd heard before that, except when I heard Welcome to the Machine by Pink Floyd when I was 9. This blew my mind. I've been a rocker ever since. Great song
There's more good heavy stuff out there I hope you gave it more of a dive into but it's awesome you at least heard it
I got that album for Christmas over 30 years ago. It went missing until I found it under my parents bed. I think the mother put to death lined scared the sh$@ out of them. Obviously it’s Mother Earth. But imagine that line blasting from upstairs to that music. Can’t say I blame them.
Dude that's too funny. But you can't blame her!
so many great metallic songs I have tons metallica cds and all them are great cds and almost all songs every cd are great.metallica live concert amazing always different but flames and big bangs from pyro technics explosion going off also especially when seen in the 90s you could feel the heat coming off the flames was crazy and I wasn't even that close.if you guys get a chance then go see them live.
please also react to the song "The frayed ends of sanity" from the same album!
I was a teen in the 90's with mullet.Ya I love Metal 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Raining death is one of my all time favorites
It took me awhile to realize that guy in the back is a poster haha
Would love to see y'all react to Metallica's Until It Sleeps, it's one of my favorites from them despite being an underrated track.
Very underrated
That song and album is pure trash!!
@@angellucero5232 imagine😭😂
you brothers are headbangers now
As much as I love Metallica, I've never been blown away by Lars' drumming following this album. ...And Justice for All probably has my favorite rhythms of his before the decline of his technique.
Metallica would be even greater if they had a talented drummer like Mike Portnoy or Jason Rullo.
Love you guys discovering the greatness with us.
That horse riding part at 14:19 to 14:29 had me rolling hahahaha his face..🤣😂🤣😂
If y'all are continuing with Metallica then try out "Spit out the Bone" from one of their newer albums. Goes back to their thrash metal and hits so damn hard. The music video is pretty dope as well.
Imagine if you could hear the bass. That would make this more amazing than it already is
I am glad you guys are enjoying Metallica. One of the greatest heavy metal bands of all time.
Watching you guys react gave me chills like I got on my first listen to this album!
I binge you guys while I work! (I work from home). Keep up the great content guys! I’m loving it! I love the reactions to music that us metal heads hold sacred.
Your Metallica journey is one of my favorite youtube reactions sagas.
No matter what, everyone has so much energy listening to the blackened intro riff istg
My favorite Metallica song. Glad I came across this channel today, love the videos
The vibing from the dude in middle back is the best. Love these reaction vids
I like it. The young guys are coming a bit into my world, like how I came a bit in to their world, before they were born. I became a hip-hop head (as well) over 30 years ago by kids the same age as them, introducing me to their culture and music.
I didn’t expect such a lit reaction for this! Glad I watched
