Well he is an asshole cheater. So his line made his character. At this point of the movie, she had it with him cheating on her after constant warnings. Oh, I don't know, maybe because a bear is a wild, unpredictable animal that could maul you without a second thought, while humans--you know, people--have the ability to understand, communicate, and not rip each other apart on a whim? But hey, who needs emotional maturity or safety when you’ve got the excitement of a potential bear attack, right? Not all men are just ticking time bombs, totally incapable of being decent. Let’s ignore that people are individuals with their own actions and choices. Yeah, some men are dangerous, but guess what? So are some women, some bears, some dogs, and basically everything else on the planet. Dangerous people exist everywhere, and acting like all men are the same isn’t just oversimplified, it’s pretty reckless.
@mazzydazey-555 In a practical sense, the idea of choosing a bear over a man can be rooted in the desire for safety and emotional stability. In a world where some women experience danger, harassment, or exploitation from men, the notion of a bear symbolizes something that is less likely to harm emotionally or physically. Bears, as wild creatures, don't manipulate or betray; they live by instinct and leave humans alone if left undisturbed. This mentality may reflect a preference for solitude or companionship that doesn't involve the complexities or risks associated with human relationships, especially when men are seen as dangerous or untrustworthy. This is why one will only sometimes choose men but always choose a bear
