Wow! Honestly, I did not expect that this video is going to be viral.😅 Thank you for subscribing and for these kind comments, and I’m sorry if I don’t answer , I don’t have time because of school.. On the other hand, *my mother tounge is Hungarian and my English is not that good,* I understand everything I just can’t express myself very well as you can see😅 So that’s why I have mistakes.
So many of you have written that this video is only for white women, but I didn’t mean like that.. But yes you are right, I should’ve thought about transgender and colored women too. I’m so sorry for that! As I mentioned before, I didn’t expect that anyone would watch my video..
I feel grateful and terrible at the same time, this attention is scary for me😅
And there is something else.. I would like to ask what kind of video should I make next time?❣️

I think this mentality of "marry a rich man". is a foolish one, especially still hearing it today. As if women can't make their own money. Or that the rich don't end up poor anyway. What then? If the rich man becomes poor - go and dump him, for another rich man. Ridiculous to be still saying this to women today.

3 minutes ago I heard yelling in the street down my apartment. A couple was fighting she had a baby in her arms. Suddenly he went to her grabbed her by the neck and pushed her against a wall (the baby still in her arms). I yelled from my balcony "you don't touch her!!!" so he cursed me and spoke very rudely but at least she could go unharmed... We've got to take care of each other.

I can't say how proud I am of you! Well done!! I think the world often thinks we are always jealous of each other. I disagree though. A large population women are like you , kind , caring and always ready to stand up for each other.
I've had experiences where seniors were ' just fooling around ' by pulling up younger girl's skirts and catcalling them. They said they were ' complimenting ' they were in 12 , like the senior most class. I'm in 10 rn , this happened a few months back and with all these kids from class 6 who just entered middle school.
I was so angry I said " don't even think of that again or else I'll make sure that you stay at home for months with broken limbs you piece of shit. What do u think girls are , some kinda joke? " . They thought it was funny and started laughing until I slapped him across the face and his idiotic friend complained to a teacher who said " if I were you I'd slap him AGAIN " and then spoke to the principal and had him suspended for the rest of the year. His face was remarkable. Sadly we went back in lockdown. Doesn't change the fact that I'm absolutely angry at him.

The thing is I didn't like how they kinda pull the "not like other girls trope" with it. That can also be just a period drama problem in general.
Tightlacing scenes to show the "mysoginistic and opressive" garmet that is the corset is also annoying because it's not historically accurate.

And in primary school when it was the birthday of someone we used to give a small gift, a chocolate box or a pencil... but I got a dress. But my mother was here for me and as the times went on i became the best in my class and even in my school, and I gained respect near the end of primary school. Now my situation was different but it'll be the same. And for the record I went on to do the most "manly" job which was the military. I joined an elite force in the French army, and as i came back on the lsland I come from and where a lot of my classmates were we had a party, and I told these girls what I did and they were very impressed.

It's very sad how some of our families, not just our community, expects us to look a specific way, act a certain way and be a certain person. We have the right to be what we want, do what we want and act the way we want. Most women and young girls are so pressed on the thought of being pretty to be accepted, or to be rich to be accepted, or to be well known to be accepted. Why? Because that is what some of our families demands from us. KNOW YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL, AND IF YOU KNOW YOU ARE DOING YOUR BEST, YOU ARE DOING ENOUGH. YOU HAVE THE CHOICE TO CHOOSE WHAT YOU WANT TO BE. YOUR SEXUALITY DOES NOT DETERMINE YOUR WORTH. YOUR FINANCIAL STATUS DOES NOT DETERMINE YOUR WORTH. YOUR LOOKS CERTAINLY DOES NOT DETERMINE WHAT YOU ARE CAPABLE OF DOING OR BECOMING. and this goes for some young men too. I'm so sorry. I know as a man i can and will never understand how this feels. All i can do is support the strong women who are fighting every single day for equality; so women stop being fetishized, so teenage girls can like whatever they want without being judged, so little girls arent raped. There's always been a stigma around feminine things. It's considered feminine to be short, and no one likes being short. It's considered feminine to show others your feelings, nobody likes to show others your feelings. It's the little things that feed into the bigger picture. Like the overplayed joke of pretending to be gay to get into the 'girls' sleepover'. So the girls can be objectified and looked at. We men spread so much hate, like how i believe homophobes are homophobes because theyre scared; gay men can objectify men the way men objectify women. Women are actively excluded from communities. Women's sexualities are downplayed, a woman can sleep with a 100 other girls, have sex with 1 guy and still be considered straight. When did it start being okay to think women do everything to impress men. I'm proud to say im a feminist, i've been insulted so many times because of it; which honestly proves my point. I'm not saying this for likes, i want to educate other men. Remember, you will never know how it feels until it happens to you. And it never will, because you are a man.

i read a comment that pretty much described what feminism means to me. to me it means that everyone is treated as an individual, not as a man or woman but as an individual deserving of respect. to me feminism is acknowledging both sides of the table, for example how men have much higher suicide rates because it isn’t normalized for them to talk about their feelings; or how half of the women in this world have experienced sexual assault yet 99.5% of rapists will never spend a day in prison because rape isn’t a “serious” enough crime, or women feel scared to come through for fear of not being heard. all these problems are serious things that we fail to acknowledge a lot and i think that once we do start acknowledging them we can finally have fairness and equality. to me that is the true goal and definition of feminism, not about bringing one gender down to lift another up or getting defensive when people do try to empower other women/men, but it’s about empowering both men and women and solving the problems that plague us all around the world

Women are fierce and powerful if only some of them would realize it. One of the most touching scenarios in the handmaid’s tale which is an absolutely gruesome watch was the bonding of the women. There’s a scene where they say each other’s name to one another because they were not allowed to have their birth name, they had the name of their master. So when these women whispered to each other their real name the camaraderie and the strength was just so beautiful! One of my favorite scenes

Women are so cool. They are just so empowering and strong and courageous, and men should all learn something from women. As a male, I know there are plenty of us out here who want the oppression of women do be stopped, and are ashamed that it ever happened in the first place. It is unacceptable that throughout history men have been considered the superior race. And for what? Women are the ones who have the power to create life. Women nurse children and women are strong. Men have their strengths and weaknesses and so do women. We are all equal in life!! You go girls 😘

listen, i agree with you that women are strong and all that, but seriously, is the only argument for women being strong, that they create life and nurse the children?

    • @activellabella5076

@wealpergg5327 I think what makes women strong is being able to thrive in a man's world despite the disadvantages that come with being a woman. Most men AND women don't know that, but the menstrual cycle has 4 phases during the month, and only during 1 of those phases women feel good. During the other 3, women either have low energy levels, are in pain, or depressed. Men have a 24-hour cycle, where their testosterone levels are highest in the morning and lowest in the night. Which essentially means that they are perfectly in sync with the standard workday. And the standard workday is just not built with a woman's cycle in mind.
Women's bodies are not so perfectly compatible with the way society has been constructed, which is not shocking when the world is designed by men, for men. The standard workday and job require people to have a sustained level of energy every day, which just so happens to work seamlessly with the male hormone cycle.
Being able to push through all of that misery and thrive in a system where you are expected to be productive all the time (but you only feel good during one fourth of the month) and outdo people who are actually compatible with this sytem (men), makes you a pretty strong person.
And I think that you need to be an incredibly strong person mentally, when you manage to achieve your dreams and goals when the world, your mind and your body are against you for the majority of the time.

As a woman, these scenes all hit me hard. The scene from Anne of green gables where the boys were openly insulting the girls hit me the hardest because I am treated the same way. For those of you who have gone through the same thing, don't give the boys a reaction. It's what they want. All you can do is stay independent and work hard.

Love this. One thing that would have taken this to the next level for me would have been including clips of women who WANT to learn to be a good mother and/or wife. Girls and young women who find joy in those traditional "feminine arts" such a needlework or decorating. Not antagonizing a girl because she likes and enjoys traditionally "girly" things. We sometimes focus so hard on being able to do what men do that we treat that girl whose dream IS to become a wife and mother as if that very desire sets the movement back hundreds of years. To me, feminism is not about women only choosing to do or be what has, in the past, been reserved for men. It is about seeing more women represented in media as full human beings with flaws and assets, good and evil, humility and arrogance *and everything in between because we are human. It is about women being free to choose their own path, WHATEVER that path may be without being ridiculed or feeling like they need to explain or justify themselves. (This of course excludes paths that intentionally cause physical or psychological harm to an individual. We're not talking about them.)

"I'll wear no matter what my body looks like." ❤️❤️
Your body is perfect and beautiful the way it is and you should own it, own every inch of your skin. It's the society that objectifies you, sexualize your body parts and try to control you and confine you from the outside world through these many methods because that's an easier way to ease the competition

    To be a woman.
    You hear that?
    Silence.
    How loud it is?
    How uncomfortable it makes you?
Now imagine that in a situation where
Someone has said something off-putting and
You have a response but you know
You will get shut down if you even try to express it.
That’s what it feels like to be a woman.
That’s what the silence feels like.
I know what that silence feels like first hand
    It feels like:
The pain i was born with straight out the womb.
Feels like the advice i get from my mom, only to have myself say something different.
Feels like the fear of my own anger.
The anger of a woman, a female’s rage.
A quiet and loud and peaceful and burning and elemental and nature-found rage.
Feels like a silence I can’t put into words quite right.
    II, Woman-[A being of complex]
I can’t put it into poetry, so let’s try this.
Try to explain what it is. To a man.
To be a woman is to laugh and cry and cheer and worry about doing all of that.
It’s to be born with pain, to be told that,
Because I am a girl I am not strong or funny or anything for that matter.
Because I am a girl I have to listen to boys joke about sexism, and say all of these things and have all of these opinions.
Because I am a girl I should be swept aside and called hysterical and
When I am tired and refuse to be bothered by noise or play, I should be about to come on my period.
Because I feel and enact and breathe and think on my own, through oppression I am a seed of revelation, revolution.
Because I was born with a uterus and boobs.
I am cursed with pain, with treason, with the threat of magic or being a witch with-
    Everything a man was not.
To be a woman is to be complex, yes.
And to be called complicated and nod approvingly,
It’s to be called dramatic when I was insulted about my appearance backhandedly
It’s to know exactly how to fight other women with my backhand, and not back down while doing it and
Then I should wonder: Aren’t we in the same boat?
    When refusing to apologize.
Wow, a woman, a being of nature (mother)
    An element of surprise.
The burned diamond of power and the sole purpose and reason of this world.
    Women, a miracle.
Passed on and on and on and on and on in one another every single generation and
Still burning and brimming with the same pain.
Of knowing that without myself-this world can’t go on.
    Oh, women.
Still rumored to not be able to when
We still can, and still would-and still will.
Even though our legs are sore and our head hurts and our minds have 276 things on them,
And according to that magazine over there, 270 of them are how to please men with our looks because since when did we exist for anything other than their pleasure?
See? How much that is, and more? The anger the want the need the pain the peace? Of being a woman,
These burdens we carry for forever since birth
These rules and shackles placed on us since
Humans were created, among some of the only species to say women are less.
    Oh, but: Women.
    -M.M. (Im jumbled)
    {8/5/24 10:42 PM}
I am 13 years old, and that is the best i can put it into words (right now.) I hope someone sees this and feels held 🫶🏾

A female friend of mine send me this video.
After reading all these comments and thinking about my own reaction, I realized that I was not as emotionally effected as I was by many much less important videos (I'm male btw.).
    And this got me thinking:
What does this say about a society in which a person, not raised as a woman, a person who did not experiences these problems first hand but still knows about sexism and sexual assault, is not as much affected by this beautiful video as those who suffered from these issues?
I know that there also is a great self responsibility in my reaction it is definitely not only to blame on society, don't get me wrong.
But I still wonder what got me here?
And what do we need to change in society so that these issues are not only known but changed?

@@sainttheresetaylor2054 Because during the time I wrote my comment I couldn't answer it.
But right now I think at least in my case it was a mixture of a being uninformed and unsensitiv which lead to this ignorance.
I personaly think people should be made aware much more publicly and early on that e.g. sexual harrasment isn't something of the past or something which happens far away it will hit nearly ever women sooner or later.
I think there are too many who don't get that its very likely that their female friends or relatives are effected.

This is amazing editing. I love this video. I will say that this is JUST the difficulties of being a young woman. What about abortion, miscarriage, periods, birth, breastfeeding, sex after baby, caring for the elderly, leading families emotionally, especially through grief, aging as a woman and becoming invisible. Being a woman is brutal.

I just finished watching it 3 days ago and I will say, its one of the pillars of my belief in feminism. I was already feminist before I watched this, but its one of the main reasons why I love being a woman.

I recently got married to a wonderful man who always treats me like his equal...and I've still been having anxiety attacks over it. Because I knew that somehow who I was had changed in the eyes of the world around me, and I felt I had to live up to their expectations, and the expectations that I somehow absorbed despite my best efforts not to.
But this video made me realize that who I am, didn't change. I can be married and love my husband, and still just be myself. Thank you for reminding me that I'm still me. Just me. Same as I always was.
