I always notice in countless games when I’m listening to Charles from RDR2. He’s in so many games as a background VA, which is unfortunate considering he’s got a good voice and definitely deserves a main character position

They are a multi million dollar company. They don't deserve "props" for anything they been making games for a long time then started getting lazier and lazier relying on modders
As the only fallout Ive never touched for obvious reasons, yes it took them years to get to a 90% playable state but you know what its actually quite fun and one of the most interesting maps ever
Tbf the update is worse than any of the current FO4 mods out there. Bethesda is an old relic from the past. The fact they didn't really put any effort into it shows even knowing that Nolan was going to make a really great show.
I got strung out on 76 a few months back and made it to level 500. With all of the hype, I am back again! The game is actually a blast! I love fighting the raid bosses 😊

I 100% agree that adding NPCs was the best decision they could've made but I respect what they were trying to go for with the unpopulated world. The lore for 76 is my favorite of any fallout game, it's a region that died twice and the notes and holotapes left behind are like ghosts of the people who tried to survive after the bombs dropped not knowing it would all be for nothing. It's a very dark tone for a kinda silly and bright game.
It's strange to see how fallout becomes more and more like a theme park experience. There is good and bad I suppose, but one seems to have wider appeal.
the thing about Fallout 4 is it crashes lots but you keep playing it.. i get the feeling you'd quit this game very quickly after the 5th or 6th crash or disconnect
im a hardcore fallout fan nv is my number 1 game so i thought i would hate 76 but honestly had a blast a couple years ago on it it honestly did alot of things better then fallout 4 in my opinion still love 4 though. but some things it did better was how dialogue works to overall quest writing even though its a lot more sparse, and i really like the blueprint system it makes a lot of sense from a immersion standpoint and just overall weapon variety feels much better and it has actual uniques the fixer is my fav so far.

@MrRaheninm expanding on that, the FEV virus was only used by the master after being found post bomb drop, originally made by the enclave for super soldiers. The master only perfected the process and then mass produced them. It's based on pre war tech and research.
Super mutants just come from FEV. Many factions are shown experimenting with FEV and mutants, including but not limited to vault tec, the enclave and the institute
I was gonna agree with you, but then I remembered reading about vault 87. The supermutants in Vault 87 actually rebelled and took over the vault one year after the bombs dropped, so they've actually been around almost from the start.
I did hear people who starts 76 now have a lot of fun. probably because like every other live service games, there is a lot of content built up. I guess bethesda took a while
Thing is I don't even think it's live service first-- this game's buggest issue is how noncommittal to one side or another it is. It wants to be that epic singleplayer experience but it also wants to kind of be an MMO so you get some strange scenarios like if you play with 4 people who are all trying to do a main quest together, you end up all having to either help each other 4 times doing the same exact quest because each run of it is instanced to the player completing it or do it all separately despite how difficult and not balanced for lone players it is. Really bizarre you can't just complete a main quest WITH another player.
You need a phd to learn everything about the game... you need to learn plans, buy plans, earn treasury notes, earn bullion, earn legendary cores and scrip, continually fix your gear and weapons, recharge your cores, random RNG legendary crafting means 99%of the crafts are useless. It has A LOT of grinding to it and if you just want to play the game for the story i recommend getting fallout 1st only for 2 things: unlimited junk stash but really just to create a CUSTOM WORLD... set everything to free and easy... save yourself 5000 hours of chasing your tail... just go do the missions and quests and not have to worry about the grinding or not being able to solo endgame the scortched beast queen at the endgame. Trust me there's a reason people are level 1000+ and still play this game.. it's not because it's amazing or Bethesda put out so much amazing free live content.. the fkn grind to get the things you want end game is insanely crazy long. Play the game.. clock the missions... and move on!

nukes were still a very real thing when I played a year and a half ago or so. But you need a key to do them and gotta go through the bunker to set it off. It can be a hassle. Not sure if people hack to the end anymore.
Honestly that’s still a pretty dope way to set off a nuke in the game …it should make you go out of your way to way to do it and be a pain the in ass …kinda like real life where there’s steps and needing a key lol

Not a 76 player, but I do like the way that you can loot all nearby corpses. As someone who absolutely has to hoover up as much loot as he can, having to go to each individual corpse after a big fight is very tedious after a while.

I hope the next Fallout has small vaults that go pack to the previous style, like how doom has those secret retro areas, maybe go back to the graphics of Fallout 3 even lol
I have a question I’m a new player and is there any cool unique institute power armor or no? Or special power armor for any faction I think there is one with the brotherhood l.
Ok so theres the excavator, wich boosts your carry weight to like 600 but you can only get it from a mission, there are 3 brotherhood armours, the hellcat, the x-01, some secret service one. Then as for just a new type of armour all together, you have yhe ultracite power armour wich takes on the appearance tof the t-51b but is a cool ass modern Desighn thats blue. How this helped :)
Pre Wastelanders this game was actual trash, I get what they wanted to do but it was poorly executed with the players filling the wasteland however player/server limitations made this basically impossible, big sandbox that needed NPCs and proper quest. After Wastelanders it was a lot better in that regard and they've done 19 major content updates since and probably the biggest since Wastelanders will be in June, the Skyline Valley update opening a new portion of the map with lots of new stuff to explore.
