I just sprayed all of mine with plasti-dip. It worked amazingly well. I ceramic coated my rig so as well makes washing and cleaning way easier.

Nice! I plasti-dipped my F150 badges but got tired of it fading and having to redo it every year or so. Was thinking about doing ceramic coating on my truck. Did you do it yourself or paid someone to do it?

@@GeorgiaZR2 I've been doing my own for years. Adams graphene ceramic. Watch lots of UA-cam vids on it. It's easy to do and we'll worth the effort. Water rolls off like a ducks back for years with proper maintenance washes.

Yeah I’ve watched a few. What do you think it would take a newbie? 4 hours for wash, decontaminate, ceramic coat application?

@@GeorgiaZR2 Yea that sounds about right. Now's the perfect time to get it done while it's new. Adams also has a specific glass ceramic coating now I have been using that came with a new full kit I bought. It seems to last longer on the windows.

@RobsKoiPond I think you sold me man. I’ll look up and see if they sell a full kit

The 2 holes at the top of the template are for marking with washable marker or paint. After removing the old letters, just line up the holes with the marks. It may just be a matter of preference but I work at a dealer and prefer this method over using tape.

That actually sounds way more simple!

Hi! Just found your channel and I'm liking it so far. You're doing a great job! ( I already watched all your vids and I loved when you thought you forgot to record yourself washing the truck lol then said something like 'it's only my 2nd UA-cam video ever ). I just picked up my 24 Sand Dune Colorado ZR2 last week. It's the same as yours with the convenience and tech packages, but mine has the black badges. I subbed and will be watching your vids for any tips or accessories I might like. I'd be interested in your thoughts on tonneau covers. Thanks and keep up the great work and the great vids coming!

Thanks so much bro! It's been fun making the videos and I'm glad you like them! I will do one on a tonneau cover eventually. I would love one of the retractable ones but I'm having a hard time justifying the price so I'm also looking at the hard sided roll up ones. My F150 had a tri-flip hard sided one and i liked it EXCEPT when I had to drive with it open because it blocked the entire view of the rear windows. Also congrats on youtr Colorado- I think Sand Dune is by far the best color!

What vehicle are you replacing your stock badges on?
