If Sony would simply allow streaming directly from the ps5 to the PC there would be ALOT less issues, instead of having to go from the ps5, to PSN, and then to the PC. Another case of Sony wanting to control our usage and why my ps5 collects dust and is basically a $400 phone charger.
I don't want to buy a TV and a PS5 but I have a high end gaming laptop with a 4k 120hz screen. I am hoping to use that screen to play on vs getting a tv just for PS5. 2 ways I have found to accomplish this is this method of streaming and/or using a game capture card to use as a passthrough to the laptop screen. Have you tested the game capture card setup to see if you get better resolution, frames, and lower latency as compared to streaming? I'd be interested in that with one of the newer 4k capture card options available now.
I need some advice. Everything works but I can't open the setting in the ps remote play app on my PC. When I click it, the whole thing closes. I can't get to the settings.
I realized today why I've avoided getting a ps5 this long. I only got it to try and stream Rebirth on twitch and literally it's been nothing but a headache. the ps5 brand new is getting hot downloading updates, and remote play is garbage.
Not sure as I'm only running 10 and 11 but that all depends if Sony's app supports 7. However I personally recommend you upgrade asap since 7 no longer receives security patches.

I don’t know how I was able to get by without using remote play. But I don’t use remote play.
