One of my favourite Lynyrd Skynyrd songs, Ronnie just sounds layed back but heart broken, the guitars are so poignant and weeping in places, reminds me of cool summer nights alone with a bottle of Jack
I knew this would make me cry but I suppose there's worse ways to start our days huh. my wife didn't like all my music..... and I didn't like all of hers..... but Lynyrd Skynyrd always brought us together.... they were our road trip jam.... our doing dishes together tunes. one of my wife's best friends played bass in a country rock band and Skynyrd was always on their playlist.... he wrecked this song for me. they played this at my wife's unofficial wake, just close friends, drinking all night in our local bar, they replaced Tuesday's name with my wife's and I've never seen so many tears in my life.
Oh man, excuse me while I cry myself to sleep. Thank you for sharing that with me. I’m so sorry for your loss. I hope you don’t mind me saying but I see things like this as a sign that she’s thinking of you and knows you needed a reminder today ❤️
Out of all the music ever made of all time no matter who it is and what kind of music there into this band here is the only one that has at least one song that everyone likes no matter what song it is theres one for everybody for me its all of them i love them all there the only group that has NEVER had a bad song in my opinion this band will live forever people will be listening to there music as long as the planet lets us live no body will ever top them . FACT!!!!!!!
liked your reaction, i was in bed 3;30 in the morning with radio on when i heard about the crash. was in pinole ca, cool people and pretty girls, seems everyone there loved this band , now they were gone, damn!!!
...another Skynyrd convert. So glad you took the opportunity to give it a good listen. I'm sure by now you've probably listened to more RVZ. Glad his music lives on with the younger generations.
I just ran upon your channel and anyone doing Skynyrd I stop 🛑 That's my favorite band ever and I've saw em twice. And I already love your reaction and I'm not 2 minutes in . Listen to this song Baby Girl and react to everyone you can and I promise you your channel will grow by leaps and bounds . And a very Beautiful Lady to go along with it. One more thing if you haven't reacted to Beth Hart and Joe Bonamassa...you will lose your mind . I'd rather go blind and I'll take care of you is just a start . You're a real soul .... when a song touches your heart like that it shows me that you're the real deal.
I watch videos like these, because I am old and have known most of the songs all my life.. I love to see your reactions during songs, because you can see the second you actually understand what you are hearing..
Everybody knows Freebird and Sweet Home Alabama but Skynyrd's cuts go as deep as anyone's. Def the greatest Southern Rock band of all time. An absolute UNIT of a band.
The more you listen to skynyrd the more you realise that they never wrote or performed a bad song. Free bird, simple man, gimme three steps, gimme back my bullets etc imagine what they would have been like if the crash didn't happen.
Thank you for sharing, your the lady for me when I was young and attending these concerts. I'm only 73 but I'm feeling so much younger. Injoy as I have. It will follow you through life as a safe haven. L.U.
Phenomenon sing an instant classic. If ever a sing spoke to you that was it.The guitar literally cried mountains of tears with every note.Brilliaht vocal delivery and lyrics such a sad song made even sadder now knowing none of the original Sknyrds are still with us.Gary Rossington RIP being the latest to depart recently
Historic album cover on that vinyl cover of them in flames. There are a few out there but, the reissued they removed the fire from behind brother Gaines. He was the newest member to background singer Casey Gaines. Shortly (and sadly, tragically )they were tirelessly lost in a plane crash. Give me thr33 steps.
Would like to have met you ...when I was 30 years younger..and born in england...you'd have been a treasure..LOL!!!....wish you well..love your reactions...GODS BLESSING ..WISH FOR YOU AND YOURS.
You would call it classic rock but where I’m from we call it southern rock. It’s from where I’m from and we claim it for ours. It has a distinct sound that’s distinctly southern just like The Marshal Tucker Band and many more. Enjoy.
woman you have a lovely accent. this is my favourite LS song. "travelling man" is great too. i will love you to hear SODA STEREO "genesis" ( live at mtv unplugged) it is a cover performance made in the mid90s of a 70s song. love your reactions thanks
I learned to appreciate this band more and more as I got older. Really talented musicians, great well written songs and incredible lead singer. So sad that they bought Jerry Lee Lewis' old personal plane. I guess half the gauges didn't work and the pilots had to check the fuel level with a tree branch... what a waste
YES, YES and YES!!! I now know what gets to your heart and soul (as great music should, male or female). Your next listen MUST be I NEED YOU from lynyrd skynyrd on their Second Helping album (my all time fav band). I ran a web page for one of the surving plane crash crew members for years. This ones gonna get ya Jess......make it happen and thank me later!! Yer boy for ALL things skynyrd...... Benny
Awesome reaction! Please check out the B side of SHA: a very up-tempo feel good jam, especially Billy Powell‘s ragtime piano…”Take Your Time”. Satisfaction guaranteed!👍🙏
I admit I'm not a very big Skynyrd fan, but this is a good song. Oddly enough, Metallica did a cover of it, along with Gary Rossington (Lynyrd Skynyrd guitarist), along with members from Alice in Chains, Corrosion of Conformity, Down, Faith No More, Primus, and Blues Traveler . It was recorded on a live radio broadcast, so it was played a little loose, but still really good. They released it on Metallica's "Garage Inc" album.
I know we all have different tastes but you really thought that was good. I thought it sucked so bad I couldn't listen to it. It was horrible. You couldn't even hear Gary when he did his iconic riff.
@@inbedwithmusic2130 cool. Got one of the best, I think the word is, drops out. In a similar sort of vein, 'space is deep' by Hawkwind has a similar fabulous drop, you should had that to your list.
Hello ⚘Another great song of theirs is Gimme 3 Steps I would love to have you check out Another southern rock band The Allman Brothers Band Soulshine or Whipping Post just to get started. Many thanks and enjoy PEACE ✌ ☮
Hi there, Jess... if you love music like that, you should really check out the - in my opinion - momentarily world's best Southern Rock Band : Robert Jon & The Wreck ! I saw them live 6 times already and they always blew my mind ! If you are interested, please react to "Cold Night (live) DJE Quarantine Sessions", I'm sure you'll love it at least as much as Lynyrd Skynyrd. But for this song, I gotta say that the singer's voice reminds me very much of Mick Jagger from the Rolling Stones. Don't you think so, too ? But nevertheless, I enjoyed thi reaction video very much, especially your honest emotions, your thoughts and your comments afterwards. Please keep the great reactions coming, there is so much more great songs for you to explore... as for now, I'm patiently waiting for your bext Aurora reaction. Best wishes : Gerry
Hi Gerry, I’ve never heard of them but I’ve popped that song onto my list. I can’t say that I hear similarities in their voices but maybe I haven’t heard enough Stones yet. I will be doing more Aurora soon, just have a few others to get out first ☺️ I hope you have a great rest of the week.
RIP Gary Rossington,on this soulful guitar
Ronnie was a genius and wrote songs and never wrote anything down because he would memorize every word. Pure Musical Genius!

One of the best ever!!
The "black and white" live version video is amazing! (no effects, raw and no modern digital alterations like today)
It makes me tear up and I've heard it a million times it's my favorite song by Lynyrd Skynyrd.
My favorite song by them.
Great choice. I’ve lost count of the times I’ve listened to it since this recording.
Great tune. One of my favorite skynyrd tunes...get you some ballad of curtis lowe...youll like it. Guaranteed

Tragic ending to one of the greatest bands of modern times. 😢

was my best friend Marlyn's favourite song. she was taken by heroin at 19.. still makes me see her and hear her singing along
Ballad of Curtis Loew should be next

You ought to listen to freebird.
I have, it’s on the channel. This one was recorded first but put on my movie channel, I’m just transferring those songs over here.

Wow you showed the cover that's very rare it's not supposed to be. See cause they died in a fiery plane crash so the record company pulled that cover
