A lot of people don't realize that despite Final Fight on the SNES being so cut down, it sold a crazy amount, which is why the sequels were SNES exclusives.
A massive improvement over FF2 thanks to its more refined mechanics, controls, and the branching path system that gave this game high replayability. What an excellent way to cap off the Final Fight series on super nintendo.
Too bad Capcom forgot they created this game, every beat them up collection always has the same games, which means just the very first Final Fight, I'd love to see this and the revamped version of the first one that was released for the Gameboy to make a come back in some form.
This is the best Final Fight sequel ever. Instantly a 5/5 game. Hell, even better than streets of rage 3 U.S version at that time. Capcom has recently been kicking ass lately. And with the Okami 2 and omimousha sequel announcement, I hope there will be a Final Fight 4 that is finally good, just like SOR 4! 😊
As a french canadian having a character called "Guy" always seemed hilarious to me. It's like calling a serious forebodding main chatacter "Chip". Its also not pronounced "Gai" its "Guee" which is double hilarious.
Yeah, Capcom did some really cool stuff at the end of the SNES. Street Fighter Alpha 2 was another one. That port was ridiculously impressive for the SNES hardware.
The SNES and Mega Drive can be surprisingly good at matching the PS1 quite often, though this mainly had to do with the PS1 not being too much of a powerhouse when it comes to 2D. Someone made arcade-sized Earthquake (from Samurai Shodown) on both SNES and Mega Drive and it looks great. They also ported Juggernaut from MvC on the Mega Drive more accurately than PS1 (albeit with noticeable tearing).
Makes me wish they did a GBA version of 2 and especially 3 for this particular reason. They could’ve added more enemies and a bunch of other things too.
That onesy outfit is a bit suspect, too. It's his usual overalls on top, but the bottom half looks like a wrestling singlet. Where the hell would you ever buy such a thing?
While not my favorite beat em up from the 16-bit generation (Streets of Rage 2 exists), it still comes damn close to being one, especially for how much it improved upon the not-so-good SNES port of the original.
Best in the series. I used to own the Famicom version was cheaper. Glad they added the supers and can be hard to pull off sometimes. Definetly beats bordem than in part 2.
I prefer nearest neighbor. I switched to scaling all my videos with nearest a few years ago. I would've done that sooner, but it took me awhile to realize how much I didn't know about how encoders worked. Once it dawned on me that Premier Pro defaulted to destroying the encode quality with bilinear, I did my research and fixed the problem.
@@NintendoComplete There was a time when I slapped XBR filter and actually played the bloody games . At some point it just "clicked" in my head how horrible that was to game art . Bilinear doesn't destroy the art and it can actually be accurate to the shapes intended by the artiest but it downgrade the color/sharpness. I later went down the crt rabbit hole until I found a crt tv that fits me but I can't deny the nearest amazing contrast , color separation (particularly in bright scenes) and sharpness .
@@saeedalshaikh3799I often use CRT shaders when I'm not recording. I like using nearest for my uploads because it's the most accurate representation of the raw picture the hardware puts out, and when it's presented like that, someone could run the video through a CRT or a shader and get the result they want. It also sidesteps a lot of the compression artifacts that can result from the filtering while keeping the uploaded file size relatively light.
The best Final Fight game on the SNES, but still weaker than Bare Knuckle 2 & 3, as well as other beat 'em ups on the system like TMNT IV, the Ninja Warriors, The Pirates of Dark Water, and several OpenBOR games. It's a 6 out of 10

You really couldn't have asked for a better farewell to the original Final Fight series than this 1996 SNES exclusive.
It is awesome to play
Also, before Final Fight Streetwise. That game is another story. 😂
@@9b8ll and the Saturn exclusive Final Fight Revenge
@@HrvojeGrahovac lol I forgot about that one 😂
@@9b8ll what a machine and they waste it as a fighting game. Streetwise is a decent Xbox title if you ignore the story lol
This is 100% my favorite Final Fight game. Only 1 thing could have made it better: having CODY as the final boss, jail uniform & all.

I'm not really into beat 'em ups, but from the looks of it I rate this one highly

Have you ever seen the NES bootleg of this game? It's pretty damned good.

Wow this looks fantastic. I swear at times SNES is close to PS1.

First final fight will always be the best but this game is great too.
Mmm. Boiled rice soaked in tea. Everyone’s favorite
ochazuke's pretty tasty, tbh
I just wish they were able to fix the slow down other than that perfect game
Search for the Final Fight 3 Optimized hack, it does some optimizations on the original code to make it much smoother
Makes me wish they did a GBA version of 2 and especially 3 for this particular reason. They could’ve added more enemies and a bunch of other things too.
very good final fight 3 😀
Haggar with a ponytail is just kind of offputting.
Really fun game though!

It's better than the 2nd game and is a solid conclusion to a great series of beat 'em ups.
The best one Gameplay wise. FF2 has more personality in my opinion.
I like how it's never the "FINAL" fight.
Long time, no see.
Hi , some of your gameplays is raw pixelated (nearest) while others has biliner filtering , I'm curious which do you prefer ?

WHY TMNT IV DOESN'T HAVE AN AUTO 2P PLAY MODE? IT REALLY DESERVES IT!
Wish we could get an open world final fight.

Better than Final Fight Streetwise at least.

This game is surprisingly good, but Streets of Rage 2 perfected this genre.
Final Fight came out in 1989. The first final fight was graphically better and in my opinion more fun.
@@vr2k8That happens sometimes, like it just did this October when the worst game in the Zelda series released.
@bigduke5902 120% agree on that one! That is why Streets of Rage 2 is my #1 game of all time! It's pure perfection.
Once or twice, my brother and I rented a Genesis just to play Streets of Rage 2.
