Hi, we did a variation of this meal. And it came out great. We patted the chicken, cooked it in the skillet and put in oven. We didn't have the baby potatoes so we cut our potatoes into wedges and slices. Didn't have children broth, so we made our own with the bouillon cubes. Thanks so much for this video, we now have a new way to do chicken thighs.

I also wanted to thank you so much for all your recipes. I've visited Mexico several times, been many different areas on both coasts and up in the High Sierra Madras. Even thought about moving there. I love the food, it is so diverse as is the culture. Most of us here in the MidWest haven't a clue about the cuisine or the wonderful traditions and culture. Thanks again.

Just a general tip for people when making the lemon sauce, try to leave it as late as possible before adding the lemon juice and never boil the liquid with the lemon juice in, this is because the lemon juice starts to rapidly lose its tart lemon flavour the more it's heated, treat it like cream. Also, make sure you cook the garlic on fairly low heat as you don't want to brown the garlic too much as it becomes bitter if burnt. Also regarding adding the cream, its better to use high fat or full fat creams as they are less likely to split when heated, the less fat in the cream the more likely it is that it will split upon heating.

Also for food storage. Can mix as thick as you want. We did call the co in Europe & asked if organic. They do not allow GMO in Europe. Yes, it is organic.

By coincidence I had the right ingredients. Was going to fry some thighs and roast some smashed potatoes with parmesan. Didn't want to fry today so I thought lemon pepper chicken. Gave your recipe a look and I liked it soo I made it. Great recipe I only deviated a little. Bay leaves a few cloves of garlic with the potatoes and I thickened the sauce with a little parm.
And when lemon is called for I save the zest if only to dress.
Turned out great. Ty for the right recipe at the right time.

Wonderful recipe, the sauce however is OUT OF THIS WORLD. After dinner put the left over sauce in a container in the fridge. It went semi-solid over night due to the cream and the next day it made the world's best dip. Yes a dip. We will be making the sauce again and chilling it to serve at our next party. Oh and I added 1/8 t of Sage to the sauce, because sage goes with chicken and like you say, "It's what I had".

I LOVE GARLIC so I can't wait to try this recipe. Only one minor problem: I don't mix dairy with meat so I will have to find substitutes, such as (perhaps) olive oil for the butter and, Tofutti Brand soy based sour cream - which I have used in a scallapini dish and came out well. These substitutions may be good for those of your followers who are lactose intolerant.

If you don't have Dill, finely sliced sage leaves also work really well with chicken and this recipe. In Australia, one of the most popular stuffing mixes for stuffing the chicken with is Sage and Onion stuffing, Awesome flavours. Correct me if I'm wrong but from what I can tell, in the US you tend to cook stuffing mixes separately to the bird, ie Turkey or Chicken whereas in Australia we like to stuff the bird with the stuffing mix so it gains all the chicken'ie juices as the roast cooks, we also like to stuff pieces lemon (skin on) into the cavity before and after the stuffing is placed in, again when the roast cooks the lemon will boil and evaporate awesome lemony taste into the chicken and stuffing from the inside out. Although we love chicken in many forms throughout the whole year, instead of turkey for Christmas we more often have a Roast Chook (Chicken), and a Roast Pork or possibly a Roast Lamb, much easier than cooking a turkey which is ginormous and quite difficult to cook without drying out. Having said that this year we did have a Turkey breast roast as part of our roast meats, the best part of the bird in my opinion and far easier to cook than a whole bird.

Thanks for the recipe, i added baking powder (not baking soda ) Adding 1 TBL of Baking power lowers the ph , improves browning and will create carbon dioxide will cause bubbles on the skin to improve the surface area crispness

Made this yesterday for dinner, was delicious. Also works with table cream (18% milk fat) for anyone that doesn’t have heavy cream on hand

I love your videos Gojuchong Mama! You're Mexican/ Latina recipes are the perfect throwback to my childhood. All the stuff I didn't really know how to make, now I can. And I love how your recipes give room to "breathe," if you will, so that you can tweak them and make them your own. I'm about to make pozole using some of your techniques as well as some others. Thanks a lot for doing what you do! Much love from San Antonio.

You get it! I actually try not to make super complicated recipes, because I think it's important for the viewer to look at what they have in their kitchen/fridge/pantry and make it work. That is literally how I cook on a daily basis, Lol! I appreciate your comment. :)

One day while workiing as bartender at a restaurant, I complained, "why do employees only get lemon chicken everyday?!" A waiter said, "don't worry, it grows on you !" He was correct and I ate lemon chicken 3 days a week, but alternated with different food on the other days ! 🤣

I just made this, but I used drumsticks instead. Everything else was exact. (I even splurged for the tiny potatoes and where I am, they were expensive!) I will use thighs next time for the rendered fat as drumsticks don"t provide what I needed. When she says medium to medium low heat, she isn't playing. If you don't you'll burn the pan bits and you won't be able to use them for the cream sauce. I burnt them with my first batch, but cleaned the pan and started the next batch of chicken with lower heat. It smells amazing and tastes great. I would even consider making this for a holiday!

Yummmmmm! The only thing I’m going to do slightly different are I’m going to just toss the baby potatoes and onion chunks in the rendered chicken fat sauté pan and using a slotted spoon remove them and add those to the casserole dish! I cannot wait to make this delicious recipe! Thank you!
