Dude! Update went through and now on 10.72 firmware that does include an initial throttle blip function! Went on my first proper drive done about 60miles, man it’s awesome. With regards to trans brake how do you up the rpm? At present mines only revving to 1500rpm, how can I raise this? My setup is in a 1959 Ford 100e. It could well be the oldest 8hp’d car out there. ;-) Keep up the great content mate!

HI Mark, you dont loose anything, if you update the firmware. Update the xdf and adf, download the map from the tcu in to the tuner pro with latest files. Then reupload to tcu and it will have default values for the new features.
Doing an E46 manual to 8hp what do you do for the trans cooler and oil lines. Was thinking of using the heat exchanger from the f30 and running new coolant pipes to the heat exchanger or is there a kit for 8hp oil cooler
No, the 6R80 is old technology now. I know they were being used until recently. But they are based on the ZF6 and that was developed in the late 90s. The 8hp is superior in so many ways.
hey man i know this isn’t a 19t episode, but i had a few questions about upgrading the twins on my N54 if you don’t mind helping, So right now i got a great deal on a set of V4 19t, but im planning on staying on 93/ stock DI/ stock hpfp i was wondering if im going to run into any fueling issues? my goal is 500-550 wheel. if need be, i’ll upgrade the lpfp. i know you said in a previous video that for a 6 speed manual 93 pump car 17t are ideal, but this deal is very tempting. just wondering what are your thoughts. thanks !
I can't say for sure, but i think you will have issues with your fuel system if you want to go past 500whp. Might be possible, but i wouldnt expect it. If it does everything will be running really hard.

@@ZeroTo60Tube I'm using a Turbo Lamik here too, I'd definitely want to dial down some of the torque reduction on mine because the 8hp45 boxes are pretty cheap here so more than happy to push its limits further than most. I've got TTE600 turbos and made just shy of 500bhp mapped by Ken @ Wedge
@@ZeroTo60Tube was more speaking about the trans, I thought the trans controller needed to get all its info over canbus for some reason but sounds like it has dedicated inputs for tps, rpm etc so ecu choice is less critical
@@miskone1044 sorry mate, been speaking with a few people lately trying to run a transmission direct with a haltech, which is what i thought you were asking. You can connect the turbo lamik to a 750 via can to get the engine data. that side is all sweet.

@@William-_-Cook no sorry. I have set up around 200 of them now and i can't get it right remotely. With out customers we offer support to help them dial it in. I dont think anyone should be paying for remote tuning with these. It also can take days or weeks to get a chassis and motor in sync with the transmission. To do it 100% as good as it can be. So really needs to be done by the owner.
Does the transbrake put excessive wear on the trans? And I’m sure your probably aware but Adam lz just put an 8hp into his a90! I wish he would’ve used a lamic but I’m guessing he probably got his done for free by whatever company he used.
The transbrake heats the fluid up very quickly. Which will be due to the converter slip. But aside from that when it’s activated the rest of the trans is fine. Let the brake go and shock on the drivetrain is another story.
Yes. We messed up. Lol. Second design is done. Will prototype when we can. Long story short you loose oil temp. The gauge still works but it switches to coolant temp.
I missed you working on N54 stuff, finally getting my single turbo kit within a couple weeks, speedtech bottom mount + G35-900.. stoked!

There is a maxrpm tab under transbrake settings.

Aftermarket oil cooler is perfect for our climate. Performs much better than a heat exhanger.
Is torque reduction/shift cut and the trans brake bump able to work off analog inputs? I’m going to be running mine off Non-CAN

It will fit in the DME box. However i still prefer the glove box.

I did exactly the same with an 8hp45 in my E82 135i in the UK, what power is this one running?
It’s just stock turbo fbo with mhd stage 2+ flex fuel. So probabaly high 300hp ish.

no they dont have the power to run the trans. Or the engine if thats what you were thinking.

The lamik can read holley canbus. However i have not personally set it up.
