You have to read between the lines, but Carr is in seventh heaven with Kubiak after a season with Carmichael, constantly bringing up the attention to detail EVERYONE is required to embrace. Pistol Pete probably thought attention to detail is what happens at a high price car wash.

Imagine playing baseball for three years and being cut but it wouldn't matter because you already have a hundred million in the bank. I should have learned how to play baseball.
The reason for the preseason is not to get ready for the season. The reason for preseason is to make money for the owners. If they dropped more preseason games it would have to come with concessions, like adding another regular season game.
I’d be all for cutting the pre season and adding an extra regular season game. I think this is what they’ll move towards in the next couple years.
Just say you dont know football...preseason games is for shaping the roster finding out who you want to keep or cutt...

Sure, the coaches will use the opportunity to evaluate the roster and rehearse for the season, everybody understands that, even those of us who don't know football, but the reason for the preseason is to make more money.

AP will not be as conservative as you think and will definitely has hired coordinators to make decisions for and with him. I understand the idea just wanted to explain the situation in Vegas and my the question was asked and situation discussed. Usually interim coach leads to rebuild and tough success challenge was this was a playoff team and shouldn’t have been a rebuild.All good we all sharing ideas and experience.

I watched it all the way through. I also got Lavonte David (scouts' honor), but admittedly, didn't get Bates or Horn.
I really don't think it matters if you defer or take the opening kickoff. Both teams get the ball to start one of the halves. People will say, oh, you want the ball in the 2nd half so if you score at the end of the first half you can double dip, but I don't buy it. When you give the other offense the ball you're just increasing the likelihood you're gonna let them score first and now you're playing from behind. The response to that could be, no, no, we'll stop them and get the ball back. Fine, if you're gonna do that with the opening kick, then do it in the 2nd half, too.
