18 tackles, 2 int, game winning pick six. "potentially the best game of his career" . . .
Matt Hasselbeck guaranteeing a win was the thing that hit him right in the face
The Seahawks got their revenge with the comeback win that got them to the Super Bowl.
@@tygrkhat4087that happened like 10 years after that game and then choked at the superbowl😂😂😂😂😂
@@tygrkhat4087aka the best fake fg attempt to a td #9 would be remember
@@tygrkhat4087 and then got intercepted at the 1 in the super bowl 49 lol
The way he flopped at the end 😂😂😂
R.I.P. Demaryius Thomas 🕊🙏🏾
Tim tebow deserved another year in Denver learning fromeyton and Elway and kubiak
7:05 what's so great about Perriman's TD here is that he did a walk-off touchdown in OT on the weekend Demaryius Thomas passed away just like Thomas himself did vs the Steelers, RIP
T.O hustling to block for Hearst never gets old
Agreed. 100%. 💯
Also Dave Fiori on a bad leg
Thank you NFL Throwback for including a replay or second angle of each TD. The first time I watch it, I'm focused on the ballcarrier, but on the second view I get to appreciate all the other little details that allowed the play to unfold.
Also thank you for including the details with an info graphic in the corner.
LaRod Stevens-howling and Patrick Petersons returns make me miss my dad man 🙌🏾. Going on 6 years now
22:53 Joe Starkey “throws off bodies like clothes after a marathon!”
7:22 that ball boy doesn’t get enough credit for saving that historic football.
Mike Quick true to his name dude was fast af
I do like the touch of hiding the information box in the lower-left for the original broadcast animations. Definitely keep that for future videos
Peterson’s punt return TD was the gutsiest play ever, if he bobbles that or is tackled, Cardinals immediately lose.
No, champ, they don’t immediately lose. They are in a deep hole, but the game isn’t over.
@@sludge8506 Thanks for correcting me champ! I appreciate it champ! Let’s be buds champ!
@@SpittUp Only if we can be butt buds, champ. Want to give it a go??
Nothing better than a nice OT win against your rivals 😂😂
Yo I saw you in SantiZap comment section wsp 🔥
@@hattenthegoat316 what's up brother
As a Bengals fan, I disagree. It sucks losing to a rival, especially in overtime
@@Kings0424 Santonio Holmes wooo 👻. Vontaze Burfict and Jones 15 YD penalties 👻 woooo
@kevinuchiha6830 Okay didn't have to make my pain and suffering even worse
11:29 Woah, is that baby Colinsworth I hear? (No seriously, he sounds like he's going through puberty in 1995.)
I did not even realize he started calling games that early, he only retired in 1988-1989
@@sickboy8914 Retired right after his team lost the Super Bowl (his rookie season also ended in that same team losing the Super Bowl), and then decades later, his final game with Al Michaels ended with him commentating his old team losing yet another Super Bowl.
No, I'm not a bitter Bengals fan. How could you have ever guessed that? (I mean hey, if we make it to another one, maybe we'll have a chance if there's absolutely nothing involving either Cris Collinsworth or teams from California.)
That Torrey Smith game winner against the bears came in dark times for us Niner fans. GO NINERS
Tim Tebow game winning overtime TD is still my favorite of all time I remember watching that game live as a kid I wish he would’ve played longer in NFL
That Garrison Hearst run is still one of the greatest runs in NFL history
He was so much fun to watch
It really was. And the announcer helped make it special, "Throwin' off bodies like clothes after a marathon" is a great line.
"Played in the Canadian league in Vegas last year" is such a bizarre thing to hear if you weren't around and watching (or at least aware of) the CFL when they did their short lived American expansion.
rest in peace DT ❤️
Hearst's TD might still be the greatest Week 1 score of all time. Talk about starting the season off with a bang.
Such a beautiful sight when your team scores a long touchdown to win in overtime.
That's some awesome footage!! Thank you for compiling that. I watched every bit of it - brought back memories.
Damn that 1983 game at 2:21 is cleaner than most of the 2000 highlights lol.
Alot of great memories. So strange hearing alot of the old school announcers that you forgot about over time
As a Bengals fan, that Santonio Homles touchdown in overtime in Cincinnati to knock the Bengals out of the playoffs until haunts me to this day
As a Jets fan, I remember both OT games except losing to the vikes. The hearst run in '98 was devastating.
That was the only touchdown of Johnie Cooks' career, and they mistook him for Hosea Taylor three times, even after the replay. Poor guy
The game called on NBC by Don Criqui and Jim Turner
That wasn't Indianapolis believe it or not
18:30 That game was the difference maker in Miami not making the playoffs in 2003 finishing with 10 wins instead of 11 wins
Olindo Mare with 2 minutes left to go in regulation had a 35 yard field goal blocked.
Then in OT he had a chance to win it with ANOTHER 35 yard field goal and missed it
2003 NFC Divisional: Jake Delhomme to Steve Smith vs Rams.
In double OT to boot. One of the best playoff games ever.
@@joshvalone3241I thought it was the 2013 AFC divisional round matchup between the ravens and broncos.
@@SmashUltimatePro2018 that ended on a field goal but the long touchdown came late to tie it
@@SmashUltimatePro2018that was a classic one
X-Clown. I came here just for this. Back when we were pounding. 14:42
That Tim Tebow one brings a tear to my eye
I was like “wha???”
Solid throw on his part and a good route by Thomas (RIP)
That following week tho… 😬
@@joesmith5247 That following week was canceled, never happened
@@BroncosCountry58 lol I’m chiefs fan so I blocked out quite a few “events” myself 😓
11:43 the Kevin Harlan experience
So, the Vikings won all of the ones that they were in. I know they’ve never won a Super Bowl, but man they are exciting!
Figured the only Atlanta one would be Alford's pick-6 from 2015
I thought we would see Vick's TD run against the Vikings in 2002, but that was 46 yards, not enough for this video!
2007 Monday Night: Brett Favre to Greg Jennings vs Broncos.
As a former Chargers fan with Steelers fans in the family. Tebow to Thomas on the 1st play of OT is 1 of my favorite plays ever. RIP DT
Just when I excited to see Dak throw an OT game winning pass against Jacksonville ... 😩
I was at the Bears Niners game. Such a great game. Bears fans cleared out like that place was on fire
0:25 Before his days on NBC working on the NBA sidelines.
Would’ve been thrown by a rookie Tommy Kramer too
I was and wasn't at the Jets-Bills game with the KO return. I had season tickets with my sister and she had an attack of vertigo as we were getting to the entrance to the stadium. Medical services took her into the stadium, while I had to go back to the parking lot to get things from my friend's car. So to meet up with my sister, I had to use my ticket to get into the stadium. So I was counted in the attendance, but was not in attendance. Oh, my sister was alright after cooling off and we ended up watching the rest of the game in her living room.
What’s more important?? Your sister, or the football game??
🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏿♂️🤦🏻♂️
"We want the ball and we're gonna score."
Yes thts a classic
Demarius Thomas got a game winning touchdown by Tim Tebow to win the game in Overtime!!!
I haven't thought about Cleo Lemon in forever :)
Played a season with a half torn acl
@@jakerojas4756 That had to hurt
@@randallross420 yeahh-- but the team managed despite the qb hurting them. Lol
Garcia to TO at the Falcons - Owens was held without a catch the entire first half
I remember watching that Seahawks-Raiders game on TV. I was not a happy person after that. Literal Swiss cheese run defense
That punt return TD still hurts. 😢
slapnuts garcia was the definition of just okay😂
I was surprised at how many of these were defensive scores. 10:42 that Miles Austin game against Kansas City was ridiculous. First career start, 10 catches, 250 yards and a walk off 60 yd TD?! So many of these playoff games in my memory. Great video!!
Favre to Jennings was a thing of beauty
@19:05 Packers at Broncos in 2007 When Brett Favre Hit Greg Jennings for an 82 Yard GW TD on Monday Night Football is Still an Classic
Tht 1 of Best plays ever
Wow, hearing Lindsay Nelson's voice at 0:24 makes me feel young again! Great compilation. Thanks
Many of these I've never seen before, but I definitely remember the Dave Williams Thanksgiving TD For Chicago (watching w/ the fam as Bears fans) & the Patrick Peterson runback vs. the Rams. Nice to know the Cards share an NFL record that's something positive.
Who knew Cousins has already thrown touchdowns to the Falcons.
No matter we steelers fans love Drew
Yes tht guy can run
Overlooked the 1999 Redskins vs 49ers, Larry Centers with a game-winning TD catch in OT-and to win the NFC East.
I absolutely love these compilations. 💯👍
I’m sorry the way Matt Hasselbeck flopped to try and make a tackle at the end of the 2003 wild card will always be comedy gold 😂😂😂
Pat P rookie year was special!!! I remember being there at the game to see it. Good times 😆
How Antonio Freeman's game winner where everyone thought the ball hit the ground isn't on this list is criminal.
The last pass Scott Mitchell ever threw for the Lions, an OT pick 6.
I am surprised you missed 2 great highlights from the 2001 Bears season. 2 game winning interception returns from Bears S Mike Brown back 2 back games.
My favorite one of all time, not shown here maybe because of distance, was the Antonio Freeman "He did what?!?" catch against the Vikings in overtime. I was there. People were going so nuts over that play that I am still shocked the stadium held together.
My Rams suffering on here twice
At least there’s the comeback against Seattle in 2004
Yeah, Bills had two, and both against the Jets.
Meanwhile two against the Patriots here
The bears with a passing td is the most surprising thing
Great work with that compilation.
Good run by Josh Jacobs
You missed the Browns vs Ravens, blocked field goal return for a win!
1991 NFC championship game Lions vs Washington.
you forgot the Pats winning on a run in OT in the superbowl. The first to do that.
Games from the 80s are so weird because those shoulder pads were ENORMOUS. How did they even move in those things?
It’s amazing just how many times the Vikings have won OT games with long plays? More than any other single team, I think?
It's wild the amount of these that happened on week 1. What a shit way to start your season
2011 Denver win was revenge for 2005 in which Pittsburgh beat them in the AFC championship game. Still, 2011 just stings a lot if you’re a Steelers fan, more so than 2005 for broncos fans
The Broncos though got obliterated next week in Foxboro
No Brett Favre to Antonio Freeman overtime catch against the Vikings 😢
Already know which ones the longest before I even finish the video
I didn’t realize there have been 99 yard touchdowns that ended overtime games.
I love how this list covers multiple decades going all the way back to the 70s. Most of these "Best of All Time" lists only show highlights from 2018 to present day at best.
0:41 bro got left hanging 😭
It's like my Atlanta Falcons and the Detroit Lions are in competition to see which team can be most on the losing end of these OT's. 😂
Seeing my SeaHawks get burned 3 times is still painful. 😣 🙄
TO hauling ass to block was awesome
At 17:30, Legendary!
Tebow!!!!!
We steelers fans love mr moon
I Remember Tom Brady's Game Winning Touchdown Pass To Troy Brown In Overtime Against The Dolphins Like It Was Yesterday NFL Throwback
5:53 Mitchell's last pass as a Lion.
5:55 - That Corey Sawyer pick six looked more like 57 yards than 53.
the raiders, who've i respectfully hated since the 60s being a chief's fan, belong in oakland. i wish they'd stop moving around so much.
Vikings love OT
Kind of sucks that they went to 50 Yards lol or Jermaine Kearse's 35 Yard TD Pass in OT against Packers would be here
Where’s the Mike Vick run against the Vikings?! Was that in overtime? Because I forgot 🤔🧐
8:50....I think he throws the football, before he crosses the line
@22:52 is my favorite one, and I’m not a 9ers fan at all 😭💪🏽😮💨
Please do a Kevin Curtis 2007 season vid! Before Jackson it was Curtis for the eagles
God I love Sam Rosen
Garrison Hearst is still my all time favorite 49ers RB
How do you not have Antonio Freeman’s “HE DID WHAT?!” catch?
Interesting. Today I learned a pass intercepted in the end zone and returned for a touchdown or a kickoff fielded in the end zone and returned for a TD has never happened in OT.
I've never understood why some games in the early 2000s are lower quality than games in the 70s, 80s, and 90s
Early digital compression probably
