Hi Frank, I doubt that you’ll recall this but a long time ago (back in like the 2010s) you uploaded a video where you gave out your phone number. I was in middle school when this happened and I remember feeling so nervous about texting you because I definitely considered you as a celebrity lol. I tried to think of a text that would hopefully grab your attention, so I think I asked something along the lines of if you were Christian and would possibly upload videos about it.
My dad’s a pastor and growing up as a 1st gen korean American in a Christian family, I was shocked to see how closely I could relate to your story and experiences in this video. I’ve been going through my own spiritual journey and been trying to reflect on my own life and experiences and ask who I want to become and what I want to pursue.
When I texted you, a part of me was genuinely curious about it, but another part was trying to fit in this idea of a Christian, which I felt like was an expectation of a pastor’s child in a Korean church. I think it’s been awesome to see your journey since you first started, took a long break, and resumed making content here. Your videos have been a part of shaping the person I am today.
I really resonated with this video for some reason. I think it’s because of how much I could relate to your childhood and how much I needed to hear following your own interests and what makes you happy.
I kind of rambled a lot and I’m not even sure if all that made sense lol. But I just wanted to say that I’m so grateful for you. It’s been such a joy to still watch your videos after all these years. You’re a phenomenal human being and someone who has genuinely inspired me. Sending much love to yourself, your mother and your family. Thank you for for being you!!

Work hard man. Men aren’t born with confidence and people can smell when you’re faking it. Stay true to yourself and find success in your own way. It is this eventual success that will be the foundation of your confidence in the future. It will be genuine and it will be effortless on your part. The girls, the respect, the admiration will come once you have succeeded and built yourself up into someone of value to other people. Don’t feel bad if things don’t go smoothly either, most dudes don’t really figure it out and come into their own until they hit their early thirties.

When guys are young most worry about trying to impress women. As we get older many guys grow out of that phase and concentrate on bettering themselves. That's usually when women will notice men is when we no longer validate women and instead chase our purpose and work on our finances. So if your a young man that's invincible to women then don't worry. Work on yourself and by the time you hit mid thirties you will get noticed more even if you're not looking for a relationship.

look, I had no friends because I study a lot and also because I was poor and couldn't afford nice shoes or clothes. I'm 35 now with a good-paying job and a house and recently helped a guy I knew in high school look for a job at Costco. He was prom King but ended up homeless due to drug addiction. For kids still in high school, forget popularity contests. Find a goal and pursue that. I wanted to get a house because I was tired of being borderline homeless so I work my butt off. I admit I didn't have much of a life because i gave up going out for school and being a workaholic but once I find myself stable I'll invest more in myself and hobbies that I couldn't pursue when I was younger.

Salute to you my brotha. Being unique seemed like a curse but almost always ends up being a blessing. Because I listened to foreign music as a teen, I wasnt brainwashed by the bad messages in music like so many of my peers.
By embracing video games as a youth, i had a complete childhood that wasnt adulterated doing things that rob youth of their innocence. Im thankful for all the girls who turned me down because I was just a good hearted kid who acted his age.
Now look at us...we age well, we have the transparent loving heart of our youth, & we guard our hearts w/ mature minds that walk in elderly wisdom the like of which those poor folk from our past still have not obtained as they now harden their hearts, age badly, & mentally mislead themselves to act out in childish ways still chasing their own tail hoping to fit in the next crowd. We all need Jesus though & His way was always THE way.

Very relateable. One funny story I had was that in elementary school in the early 2000s, all the cool kids got their parents to bring them McDonalds for lunch. My parents both worked, so after complaining a lot, my mom went and bought me McD in the morning and gave it to me to bring to school. Only when I got to lunch did I realize that they only sold breakfast items in the morning, so while everybody else had a burger, I had to eat the biscuit and egg sandwich. All the popular kids laughed at me and called me a loser. I guess that just shows how dumb and mean kids can be when you think about how trivial this was in retrospect.

I especially had a hard time putting myself out there making videos, because I was always so worried what others think of me, but like you said, now I make what I enjoy making and it doesn't matter that much what others think, because in the end you have to be who you are, and love yourself for it.

I used to be the weird kid for a long time at my school too, that changed once I reached success in my weird interests. For example, everyone used to hate on me for having a youtube channel, but once I showed them how much money I am making with it and how many views I am getting, they started respecting me for it and it became a quality. People will always hate on you, if you do something different at first, but once you reach success they'll be jealous and want to be like you

It’s crazy how you look back and see how far you’ve made it. From being a youngster figuring out life ie social acceptance. After all you grow up and reach a stage in your life where you realise what’s important and all those things you experienced just made you a better person, the person you are today. Thank God everyone goes through those stages as a youngen so they learn to be independent when they reach adulthood! And then you reason adulthood and think geez those were the days when you didn’t have “responsibilities” 🤣🤦‍♀️🤣

The best lesson I learned about women was in the 7th grade. Asking girls I liked and only to be rejected for them to date the class clowns (fools i called them) was a real low blow for me. Of course, fitting in the circles of other people or trying to get girls to like me never really crossed my mind. The strange part in high school was how everybody knew who I was along with my brothers, but I never dated anyone until I got into college since I wasn't a social butterfly unlike my younger brother whom seem to attract all kinds of girls. Yeah, I can admit I'm not a handsome guy (Trust me, I've accepted this and I'm cool with it. I honestly could less about what people say to me tbh), nor do I look like someone who lift weights or practice boxing due to my physical build.
The best advice I would give to any young person, "Don't live your life to please others." As for those who struggle with the stereotypes, I quote what Ice Cube said in 21 Jump Street, "I know what you're thinking. Angry black captain. It ain't nothing but a stupid stereotype. Well guess what motherfuckers! I'm black! And I worked my ass off to be the captain! Sometimes I get angry. So suck a dick! What I'm tryin to show is, EMBRACE YOUR STEREOTYPES!"
    Today is a good day...

I think being different is awesome everyone is just the same. Conditioned to act and live life a certain way. It takes a real man to be himself and own up to it. Good you learned that because we should value family, friends and make good memories and not worry about someone else's opinion or their fears. P.S. videogame tunes are awesome especially from JRPGs.

In a similar way I like Joker the DC character because he is himself and does whatever he wants. He doesn’t care what others say or do about him. Although he is a bad character I have always strived to achieve his level of mentality of not caring what others think and doing whatever he wants to do.
And hey he wears purple. Badass.

I remember the early days of insecurity & neediness & not having the strength of my convictions...Gratefully, I grew out of that & learned to adopt an outlook like David Goggins, former Navy Seal & Army Ranger encourages which is F what people think! We're all masterpieces designed to be unique, unlike any other. As a person who was very engaged by pop culture, i can testify that research has shown me that it's foundation was in wickedness & designed to distract us from truth & righteousness. Although I'm not totally disengaged from it, I don't take it as seriously as I once did as I keep in mind the Savior's warning to be IN the world & not OF it...Peace.

Sad you had to feel that way growing up! Have to say it is so cool that your parents have all those childhood videos!! A beautiful child you were!! ❤ As for having a great body so girls would like you?? Some people have Great bodies and a horrible personality! You were a normal child from what I'm seeing!! Love your pure soul and you are REAL!!! Being weird in other people's eyes, mostly children's eyes can be hurtful but that's how life just is!! You've obviously become who you love to be and accept how you are is a wonderful blessing!!! The puppets, I too loved and still do. Ventriloquism, I mastered, an MJ impersonator I am. My dad n friends called me MJ growing up and I would get so mad. Later in the 90s when i saw what he looked like, after loosing interest in his "Beat it" and "Who's bad" thinking he was trying to be like a gang member, I hated looking like him. After MJ passed away my dad called me telling me to watch "YOU are not Alone" I hadn't seen him in years as I was in medical school! When I saw his new look I couldn't believe what he looked like!! Just like me . So on his birthday August 29th months after he passed, I dressed as MJ on Halloween which brought tons of people and local newspaper taking pics. Then started doing parties and wedding receptions and brought joy to my dad who called me MICHAEL for years. I accepted what I didn't like as a child and went with it. Was a bodybuilder for 35 years, was called a dyke, lesbian or weirdo! But I felt fantastic because I had accomplished soooo much. I think all kids go through that at some point!! God bless you for sharing your stories and your life with us all. The passing of your cat pulled me in. What an Amazing man you have become with some inspirational stories!! Love your channel!! So aside from childhood insecurities and not liking ourselves? Look at us now!! How we become to accept and love ourselves!! Keep the stories coming and Love and Blessings to you and your family!!!!

    Hey Frank,
Watching ur videos and seeing the struggles u faced growing up, really remind me of similar challenges I faced as well. As being unique and not always the one being with the popular crowd or knowing what's popular at the time. But something u mentioned that I relate a lot to atm is doing the workouts that u enjoy. As I started doing that about a year ago mayb a little less, and I'm not in my best shape aesthetically, but I do feel the best I have ever felt b4. I feel strong and fit, and I also enjoy the workouts I do rather than trying to put them off like I used to. I look forward to doing them because for me personally they make me feel good and I just have fun doing them. And just seeing all the stuff u do keeps on inspiring me and leading me to new revelations. Thank u so much for being urself and sharing ur life experiences :). I always learn something from ur videos and I hope I can continue growing as a person, just as u have :).

I think that YOU just being YOU is the best thing..but,I can agree that it can be difficult too...even as I grow older it gets difficult even for me..who is a person who has changed so much over the years. I may not look like I am going to be 59 soon but I am. I can hardly believe it myself. Also I believe that all human beings STILL have a child growing up inside of us..norther if we may be an adult or "fully adult"....whatever that may mean!
I am also very sorry that you are having a hard time taking care of your mom...that is a tough job!!
...I am not taking care of my mom she is in a memory care place. I miss her and I live thousands of miles away from her. I feel sad because of my mom's dementia as well as her Alzhiemer's...(I didn't see that about to happen ever)! She was always in such great shape...she always worked out..and she was in so much better shape than I was and still am.
She is 84...I don't know how old your mom is but, I send you my highest prayers..because it IS hard to love those who we love so much and we can't heal their dementia or Alzhiemer's or anything else they might have!! I wish you and your entire family good thoughts and prayers.

This hits so close to home bro, I’ve grown up to be a confident and proud man, and I always think to myself, if I could go back and tell my younger self one thing, it would be “don’t worry about what anyone else says” it’s so important and I express it to my younger siblings who are still going through all that, this was a really nostalgic video to watch because it really reminded me of myself, glad I found it

I feel you man. It sucks getting made fun of for stuff as a kid that you liked and then it ends up being something popular when you're an adult. (video game music for example). I know I used to be embarrassed about my shoes in school. I wore a size 17 shoe when I was 14 year olds. So I didn't have anything that fit or looked even remotely stylish. Even more so in sports. The only football cleats I could find (this is before the internet existed) were a pair of pink and green ones that I had to spray paint black every week. But, now as an adult, I prefer not wearing stylish shoes. All I care about are wearing shoes that fit and are comfortable. I don't care how they look.
It's okay to be greedy about yourself, Frank. It's okay to want to only make content that makes you happy. You don't owe us, the audience, anything.
