    There's a guy in the States (nivlac 57) that's building a GM Vortec 4200 block (inline 6 & 4 valves per cylinder) with boost (he's just getting started) that he got 847 hp He had con rods and pistons!! Maybe we can have a Barra/Vortec shoot out?? My guess is he doesn't have near the budget that some cars have. I'm hoping he gets some serious sponsorship soon!

    • @RoB_666_
      @RoB_666_ 2 роки тому

      Mentioned this to Scotty a while back....Calvin's been playing around and spearheading those engines for a while, definitely agree with ya on the sponsorship.
      The Vortec doesn't quite have the aftermarket support that the Barra enjoys now but it'd be an absolute riot seeing Scotty tearin' it up around the US in the mx5....

    How much does it cost to put a barra together like that?

      We spent $2000 but we already had some bits like valve springs, head studs, oil pump gears, etc. You could do it for $3-4k retail I reckon.
