This video will show you a concrete floor makeover we did for a bar & grill pub in Old Orchard Beach, Me.
The original concrete floor was cracked, chipped, and very unlevel. We had to demo some ceramic tiles, grind off the mastic and repair the cracks in the floor. Then we used self-leveling concrete to restore and level the floor before we applied a beautiful epoxy flooring.

I'm the foreman for a commercial flooring company in Manhattan for 20 years . And I have to say you guys did an amazing job.

I'm self-employed in Alaska and I too think they did a good job.
Man I have a lot of respect for you guys. I'm retired now, but I'm a 4th generation builder. We did all of our own concrete and I know the work that involved. Back breaking, bent over, hard work...expecially in the summer time. Digging footings and forming was the hardest for me. Pick and shovel work sometimes...whew...that and roofing.
I used a self-leveler before but it hardened fast.
Anyway, I have a floor like this in my garage. I put a smart tv and the kids loved it so much they were out there all the time. The floor feels amazing on your feet as well. It seems to stay at a perfect temperature as well.

That floor looks awesome! Nice explanation! Great video!
I've used plenty of floor leveler in old buildings to prep for tile or laminate flooring. I found if you take a paint roller frame on a pole, (no cover) and slowly roll it back and forth thru the wet leveler, it helps to spread it out and lets the self-leveling do its job. Rinse off in water and save for the next job.

You need to use a roller with spikes.. So you roll the air out as well

An awesome video! I appreciate the information.
I plan to do similar in a work room. It's concrete, so I'll float it, and seal it. Then lay the color, and lightly sand all over. put on a top leveling clear coat to fill any little dimple or hole. sand that flat, then a light clear coat. Gives an extra depth and gets rid of little dimples and lines you can see in the light.
I got a friend who does this. He teamed up with another company and now you never see him because travels the country doing it. He does college football stadiums etc. I never knew you did this, great job! Owner owes you and your crew a lobster sandwich and cold one.
That came out very nice, hats of to you guys...the only problem is epoxy resin floor is not as hard wearing as i thought (scratches easily). Will need regular polish and buffing. Speaking from experience did it in my own home.
Hey I’m a concrete finisher local 502 I work for a company and have my own side work I do every aspect of concrete I do epoxy I just gotta say that floor looks really clear very impressed with your technique and passion for concrete to even be able to get a floor to look that good the reflector on that floor was a mirror finish I didn’t see and bubbles or curdle mad props to you guys out there on the east coast

Put denatured alcohol in a spray bottle it gets rid of the bubbles.

After epoxy cause of off gassing of concrete.

So I did epoxy garages, what we did for a metallic floor is do a solid color for a base coat, like grey for instance, and right after we roll it out, we pour whatever colors the customer wants around the floor and then manually swirl it with a roller. Looks absolutely insane

Wow! Prep(dry) went well. Very seldom the concrete is not contaminated and needs replaced under those horrible red tiles. Not too many pinholes or bubbles after 'self-leveling'. Floor turned out absolutely beautiful. Is it non-skid? Or slip resistant? A full broadcast floor for kitchen areas is what I'm used to.
