I watched Fastest Car and saw Abel’s car get trashed. It made me sad. I know he’s a family man and doing what he can to get it back together. I love seeing Abel out and about. He’s an icon to the rotary community.

Amazing thing is, I remember reading about Abel running low 8's back in the 90's with this 13B R100.....if it is indeed the same R100 he used back then.....was red back then.
A big inspiration for me back when I was first starting my RX-7 build, which ended up taking 12 years, but was worth every day and penny to see it to the end.

Kyle Keogh no it is not. This little old car ran 7.98 in the year 2000. The 4 rotor is too heavy and missing many components. Not even in the same league.

That R100 would be better if it had 2 more rotors, AWD, a bigger turbo, and was an FD. Anyways that's just my opinion.

I've pushed one of Ari's rotary's drag cars around before another well known rotary racer in US. Couldn't believe how light and easy it was to push around he's made some stupid crazy power on two rotors.

On a side note I can’t believe that Abel’s R100 doesn’t have a funny car cage around the drivers seat. I wonder what SFI chassis cert the R100 has?!

Nice video Rob. I am glad to see Abel still in it. I am 44 years old and have had my fd since 98 and Abel was my rotary hereo in the import racing scene. I am still pissed about what happened to his rx3 on a show i watched. I hope he got it fixed. Damn electrical cars!!! I had my money on Abel

I love that you have the Nitto Invo’s on that sexy ass 4 rotor. I have them on my built 15 RS7 and I honestly will not ever run anything else. They preform as good as they look which says a whole lot because they are a sexy looking tire. I can’t wait to see the 4R finished.

Cool little car - saw an original, well patina'd one a couple of months ago on a local motorway. Plate was 69R100, IIRC.
Next time, pick up 3 or 4 sheets of 6'x4', 3/4" plywood to bridge the gap between the ramp runners.
I have a DVD somewhere with Able and that car in it from almost 15 or so years ago...Neither have changed much.

Yes Abel can make more power. I heard one time, Abel engine swapped a 13b from a Tamiya Mazda RX-7 R1 - 1/24 Scale Model Kit into a Reliant Robin and won Le Mans in all categories.
