- My sunroof was broken so I tried to tackle it myself instead of going to the dealer. This video also applies to a Golf 7, because the mechanisms are the same.
How did you remove the glass ? I have a problem with the roof not opening but I don’t know how to access the glass bolts itself
There are 4 bolts on the inside of the cabin, the other the are at the back of the glass panel which can only be accessed in the ventilation mode/ fully open
I noticed your air deflector is not operational in the final shot. I’m looking to replace my air deflector. Is it a simple process?
I didn't attach it, because if the roof didn't work I would have to take it of again. You can easily replace it, it's a case of opening the roof and removing two bolts, goodluck
Could you explain how you got access to the bolts at the bottom? mine only goes up in one half

Hi. I cleaned grease, use new but i have next problem. My sunroof Glass goes down and hit the roof. How to set/Block Grey and metal links needed for upd and dobn bottom part of the glass or how to set them when roof is open and closed? Need help!

Yes the problem with the lift mech. I had to reposition the little gates.
How do I remove the front panel that runs around the roof? It’s leaking under it.. can’t see that on your video

Heb jij eventueel ook insta? Ik heb momenteel het probleem dat mijn dakje niet meer dicht wilt. Hij staat alleen met de achterkant omhoog maar kan ik het panorama dakje ook zelf dichtdraaien?
@@Jorick.RS3 Hi, hoor je een ratelend geluid wanneer je het dak dicht wilt doen? Je kan het dak zelf dicht draaien maar je moet dan de glas plaat eraf halen vanbinnen zitten 4 schroeven en aan de achterkant ook. Je kan me altijd via dit kanaal een mail sturen mocht je nog vragen hebben

I live in the Netherlands. But this wasn't a days worth of work in the video. I've spread the work in 5 days so around 13 hours (including me trying to figure out how to remove everything. But if I can you can do it as well ;)

@@LynKoZ €800,- seems like a bargain on my car the frame was already €800. Audi wanted €2000,- (mostly labour costs). Lukily I was able to save some by buying parts of the frame

Hi Aaron, mine is from an audi a3 8v. The sunroof consists of multiple part numbers, the number of the frame is: 8V3877045E
u dont show how to remove a glass xd
Forgot to film that part, my bad. Basically it has 6 screws, when it's in ventilation mode you can access the screws in the back. The other four can be removed from inside, hope this helps

@@TorqueToSpec my sunroof on my b8 passat has a knocking noise, this happened after I adjusted the sunroof, now i cant get rid of the noise. How do i line the sunroof up to correct level?
@@hamzahussain5129 it could be that the sunroof is too close to the frame. When riding over a bump the sunroof and frame collide. The way i did it is by putting the screws in so that the sunroof panel is at its highest point. Then close it an check where you need to adjust it
Why am I listening to two separate audio tracks if you talking? You should choose one and not re-record yourself talking through the video while still playing audio from the original video.
