Do i.have to unplug the car battery to work with the cables?

@@newthepanch Hi the button for the trunk is also wired through the same cable. I would recommend unplugging the battery.

Yes the problem with the lift mech. I had to reposition the little gates. How do I remove the front panel that runs around the roof? It’s leaking under it.. can’t see that on your video

Heb jij eventueel ook insta? Ik heb momenteel het probleem dat mijn dakje niet meer dicht wilt. Hij staat alleen met de achterkant omhoog maar kan ik het panorama dakje ook zelf dichtdraaien?

@@Jorick.RS3 Hi, hoor je een ratelend geluid wanneer je het dak dicht wilt doen? Je kan het dak zelf dicht draaien maar je moet dan de glas plaat eraf halen vanbinnen zitten 4 schroeven en aan de achterkant ook. Je kan me altijd via dit kanaal een mail sturen mocht je nog vragen hebben

I live in the Netherlands. But this wasn't a days worth of work in the video. I've spread the work in 5 days so around 13 hours (including me trying to figure out how to remove everything. But if I can you can do it as well ;)

@@LynKoZ €800,- seems like a bargain on my car the frame was already €800. Audi wanted €2000,- (mostly labour costs). Lukily I was able to save some by buying parts of the frame

Its all in the same cable bundle. I had an issue with both lights one brake light did not work and one indicator had an issue. Open the cable bundle up on the kink and your going to find broken wires

There are 4 bolts on the inside of the cabin, the other the are at the back of the glass panel which can only be accessed in the ventilation mode/ fully open

You mean the back? I explain it at 15:28 what the issue was with mine

I didn't attach it, because if the roof didn't work I would have to take it of again. You can easily replace it, it's a case of opening the roof and removing two bolts, goodluck

Hi ! Yes thats the only wire loom going into the trunk, it energizes both the tail lights and liscense plate lights

@@TorqueToSpec Thank you for your reply! I just got home from Audi. They want 517 Euros to replace the entire loom. This should be a safety hazard and should be a manufacture recall and be repaired for free. Shame on Audi!

@@jasonweikert1922 This shouldn't be a wear item thats correct, I can guarantee you if you remove the electrical tape were it has a kink in it will have some exposed wires because of opening and closing the trunk. I've repaired mine and haven't had a fault ever since. good luck!

It’s only one cable that supplies both lights with power, the problem occurs depending on which wire is broken, hope this answers your question :)

Forgot to film that part, my bad. Basically it has 6 screws, when it's in ventilation mode you can access the screws in the back. The other four can be removed from inside, hope this helps

@@TorqueToSpec my sunroof on my b8 passat has a knocking noise, this happened after I adjusted the sunroof, now i cant get rid of the noise. How do i line the sunroof up to correct level?

@@hamzahussain5129 it could be that the sunroof is too close to the frame. When riding over a bump the sunroof and frame collide. The way i did it is by putting the screws in so that the sunroof panel is at its highest point. Then close it an check where you need to adjust it
