Looks like an awesome versatile product. Thanks for sharing, man!. And I had a question about your latest DIY PWM controller. Are those components compatible with a Minn Kota C2 Endura 30lb thrust?
Nice setup. Did you ever do the waterproof setup? I'm kinda doing the same, but noticed when I turn off my fish finder then turn back on I need to turn on the batter again. Is this expected behavior? Thanks again
Yes, I did a waterproof enclosure, works great. The whole system works great with one exception, the auto power off function is a pain, as you have figured out. As long as the depth finder is on the battery will stay on but if you power down the depth finder the battery will "go to sleep" requiring me to open up the hatch and enclosure to hit the "power" button. I do not power down the depth finder once under way so, not the end of the world. Thanks for watching!
@@TahoeYakFisher I think I might add a volt level display on my setup to see if it will draw power and trick the battery not to sleep. Thanks again....
What kind of hours are you getting out of this. I’m going on a fly in fishing trip to Ontario and would like to take my finder with me. Looking for the best lightweight battery option as we are limited on weight for the float plane
Hey there, Thanks for watching. I, typically, go out for 4-6 hours at a time and usually fish this battery 3 days between charging. I have not run the battery, full to depleted, on a timer so my conservative estimate is 15 hours. I also have a small screen depth finder, consider the size/amp draw... I could probably get even longer run times if I turn down the screen brightness. Hope this helps, and have a great trip!
I have the battery and fish finder I need to know what else I need

Ya, totally compatible.
@@TahoeYakFisher Cool, thanks man. I'm definitely going make one.

Can you charge this battery with a USB? any idea how long it takes? Cheers
No, I don't believe you can. It came with a 12 volt, cigarette lighter style charge cord or a 110 volt ac cord.
