Which camera were you using ? The Akazo or else ?
@@Joseph5756 that was shot with my phone.
Awesome video!!! Kindly please share to me how to mount the camera for this angle thank you Sir 😊

@TahoeYakFisher thank you 😊
Like to see how you rigged up the kill switch?
You can eliminate half of this including the real by using a cleat next to your seat. Just run the line through the loop on the trolley to the cleat. A proper hitch on a cleat is quick to remove
@joshuabennett7334 this releases faster, period! I have tried both... however you can do whatever you like!
Are you still making them
@samromano4620 I am not making them, generally. I do have enough to build one or two of them at the moment. $200. Plus, shipping is what one would set you back. If you're interested, respond here, and I'll let you know how to get ahold of me... thanks.
Are you still making them
Is that guy still building the pwm units? I tried to send him the question but couldn't.
Like the engineering on this. I am building a system for my Old Town 136. Ordered all the parts I need and looking forward to getting it done. As I stated on your other video this idea puts my 106 Old Town a candidate for motorized kayaking. Using a New Port 35 with 50ah lithium battery in the front hatch. with through the hull wiring.
Really looks like an ss127
where did you get these wires? I have been looking for them

What are the specs of the float?
@expomm not sure but it is available on Amazon, search "rope float".
It's 5×3! "Rope Float" brought it right up!
Where did you get the mount for the troller motor?
It is a Wilderness Systems product, but I believe that I bought it on Amazon.
Just did a search on Amazon. It's there as well as a couple that are exactly similar.
Hey sorry for the dumb question but this will be my first time drilling/mounting a mod on my kayak. Do I just do a pilot hole large enough for the 1/4-20 then screw in the bolt, washer and nut? What length bolt? Thank you!!!
@hprice86 no worries, happy to help. Yes a 1/4" drill bit should work great and will be tight that you will basically thread the bolt through the plastic of the hull then add the washer and nut. This is going to be somewhat self sealing, not that necessary but why not. I think 1 3/4" is the length is used. Good luck!
@@TahoeYakFisher awesome, thank you so much!
@hprice86 a drill bit goes through a hull faster than you expect, often grabs the plastic and dives in like a cork screw through a cork... be slow and careful.
@@TahoeYakFisher that's good to know, thank you for that tip!
Will this work on 24 lb thrust watersnake trolling motor..high low speed only..?

love it
Wow😮 that is a stunning place
Wow, that’s a lot of kayaks!
@officialWWM they aren't mine. The fishing kayak is, the others belong to the kayak rental company that I work for.
@ oh, I see :)

It will work, but if you angle them to the back at about 30° you will be able to turn much sharper
Hello, what do you charge for a PWM speed control like this one?
This is an aawesome video, but now you can get a Kayak for about 2600 and it don't come with a battery but it comes with the motor and all the rigging. I have a 540 kayak and I am trying to do this. Got the motor and battery and battery box
Awesome Work! I'm going to build my own, but I was looking for some clean installs for ideas.
How do i contact you to buy one of these PWM's boxes?
Which PWM controller are you using? Very nice clean and simple build!
Excellent. I would like to purchase one. Please advise. Thank you
Still watching today 8/16/24 I’m still tinkering with my recon 120, about to start modifying it like yours.
I'd just like to say thank you!!! I just got the recon 120. Your videos have been a life saver!!
Do you still make these?
Fires are back again ironically.
What do you think of the newport trolling motor?
You should do a video on how you make them

Love you're dog
@@johnzisa8855 Me too!
Very nice design! Thanks for sharing!
Hey there. I just picked up a compass, but it's the newer model with a different seat design -- the seat area is less stiff. I'll let you know if I end up installing the handle bar in that area / how it works out, but I'm definitely installing that one at the cup holder. How are yours holding out?
@@dfly1115 no regrets. I use both handles to lift the kayak over my head. No problems.
Are you still marketing these PWM units? I have a Classic Accessories Colorado pontoon boat. Just purchased 5:26 a 30 lb thrust Minn Kota Endura. Would be interested. Thanks
Is there a link to purchase?
@codyrunge8190 sorry mate, not selling them at the moment.
I see a lot of video using trolly motor and they never talk about the battery run time. How long would your battery last you? Not full throttle but casually, on a full fishing day
I have never fished long enough to kill the battery.
First of all, thank you for your great videos. I have a Recon 120 and your videos have helped me building out my kayak. My knowledge of electronics is basic. Can you explain why you used different gauge wires? How would I know which guage to use and where to step up or down. Wondering if I have to do the same. Thanks!
The longer the wires are, the bigger they need to be in order to reduce resistance and, in turn, heat. Increasing gauge towards the battery. There is a chart on the Minn Kota website that has recommended gauge based on length that is very useful. If you are going to run wires from bow to stern, as I did, you will definitely want to step up the gauge. If you can not find the minn kota chart lmk and I will send you a link or a picture of it. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
Do you have any suggestion on how to attach to a kayak because I don't want to have to run back to my truck every time I launch and retrieve.
How deep should you top line in June?
Great video, thank you
Mustve missed it, but how do you steer it?
Rudder pedals.
Would love to buy one of these off you if you’re still making them!
How can I get one of these? How do in order? Please let me know.
Do you have a link for the control module you used Iand how long did that one last you I’ve burnt out all of them the one I have now is just an on off switch
The primary reason I quit selling them was the effort of acquiring circuit boards. I would purchase circuit boards from two or three vendors until I found good ones, and then I would purchase all that vendor had. The only failures I had were attributed to customers hooking them up backwards... the unit I am using is at least 3-4 years old and still going strong!
This is the "style" that I used but only if they had nice solder and thick heat sinks! ICQUANZX PWM Motor Speed Controller 60A DC 10V-55V 12V 24V 36V 48V Digital Display 100A Max Brush DC Motor Controller - Third gear Forward Reverse Stop a.co/d/59ijmif
Is the front battery tray screwed down or just free ?
The tray is not screwed down. The battery is strapped to the bracket above, and the tray provides a stable base. It could be omitted, but at least it provides a rub buffer between the battery and the hull.
Very clean install! I want to build one of those PWM like you have. Yours is super clean. Better yet, price for you to build one haha?
New to your channel, nice vid.. hope to see more if you get out there this spring and summer. One suggestion although poking a hole in the Mac’s releases air, its does have a mortality rate attached to it. I have used descenders in the ocean for Rockfish and at Tahoe. They work great, hopefully you will give them a try..
Awesome. I think I'm going to follow your upgrade for mine!
