    Thanks for the video! Very informative and to the point! The low and high beams on my 2006 Z4 are working, but the hallow ring on my left headlight is out. Is this fixable by replacing a bulb, or do I have to replace the whole headlight?

    My 2005 Z4 driver side Head light keep Flickering, do you think I need to replace the ballast?
    And if I were to UpGrade the headlight to Halos, would there be an exact replacement for Xenon models ?

    • @xenonland
      @xenonland  2 роки тому

      Infortunately all 3 parts (bulb, igniter and ballast) can cause flickring. You have to make the troubleshooting explained in the video. Swap the igniters and bulbs and see if the fault moves between the headlights. But if you have moisture in your headlight, most probably the ballast is causing the flickering (given that your igniter is intact physically). Pls subscribe and support us.

      Downgrade to halogen headlights is not a streight fit. Your light module will search for xenons.

      Thank you for the feedback. I think I will have to replace the ballast since my igniter and bulb show no signs of wear and tear. And I have considered of keeping the Xenon instead of DownGrading to Halo just due to not finding headlight that fits for Xenon.
      Your Help is GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!

      @@thecaca091 just make sure that you stop the moisture inside the headlight. While putting the replacement ballast, do not forget to inspect your headlight for any cracks/damages. Make sure that your back cover closes firmly

    have an issue that just popped up. The headlights are acting strange. One headlight won't come on. I turn off the lights then back on then no headlights come on. Turn off and on again then the light that didn't work will come on and the other will not. Can't get both to come at the same time now. 2007 E86 coupe.
    Thanks

      We have never heard anything like this. very strange. This looks like a switch issue. Or very unlikely but still possible: both ballasts have intermittent fault issue. If you find at least 1 working ballast you can try it on both headlights and see if the problem persists.

      @@xenonland now both are working..lol
      Gonna hook up my reader and clear any codes. Maybe disconnect the battery too.

      I also had this issue on my 2007 E86 coupe.
      Initially in wet weather or after a car wash, the right headlight would not come on. It would intermittently decide to come on, but this got less frequent and eventually would not come on at all.
      I tried turning lights off and on again, then neither light would come on. Usually if I left the car for a while (overnight) the next day the working light would come on again. I replaced the ballast of the bad headlight and it was full of water. Both headlights worked for a while and then the other one failed. I have now replaced both ballasts and now everything appears ok, but I haven't had long to see.

      Just make sure to stop the condensation/water ingress or the ballasts will keep burning

      @@xenonland thank you - I still have condensation on the inside of the right side headlight. I need to find a way of removing the condensation soon. Is running the xenon bulb while the car is stationary with the back plate removed likely to work / recommended?

    just jack the car up a bit. tons of access

    • @xenonland
      @xenonland  2 роки тому +1

      Even if you jack the car, and you remove protectors underneath and you remove the 3 screws that holds the ballast, you can not remove the ballast since it is stuck by a bar. Hence removing headlight or at least "displacing" it is a must. All other things will only risk your plastic parts to get damage.
