I'm so glad we got this on vinyl - only 12,000 copies made. I got to meet Dave at 18 years old. My gf and I, at the time, didn't have tickets to even get into the show... FF's tour manager, Gus, saw us outside the show, said "come with me" (I thought we were going to be in trouble for loitering - I didn't know who this guy was at the time)... We go to the side of the venue, and he gives us wrist bands, we are in the show for free (I literally only had $10 in my bank account - no joke - 100% only had ten dollars). Show ends, Taylor throws drum stick... Lands right in front of me, and I grab it. Craziest night... After that KROQ people leave the back stage area [upstairs house of blues], give us their back stage passes. Coolest night ever [ 02/02/02 ] I'm a foo fighters fan for life. Thanks FF, thanks Gus, thanks for supporting record stores, thanks for being good people with good values. Love this album, it was worth staying up all night for. ♥️ Love you guys.
@@murray1978 Aww, thanks man. They very well might have. I vaguely remember hearing a song or two that was brand new. I imagine some of the live stuff they also maybe played songs live that maybe didn't make it to album, but if smart phones existed back then we would likely have a better record of all that. When One by one came out, they're was a DVD also... "All my life" on the DVD was mixed in 5.1, and I remember ripping the AC3 (from the DVD) into separate audio tracks. The beginning of the song had Dave's voice soloed on the center channel, guitar chunking on the front left, and front right channel. It blew me away listening to the separate channels. It's a bummer that 5.1 mixes didn't become more of a standard. It was really really interesting to listen to back then. 🙂

Hello Kellie, how are you doing and how is the weather with you
respect to the Gibbs, the original creators, their music standing at the test of time, classic beauty.
back again this morning with a coffee in my office, needed a Taylor fix and to groove with the Foo's, sending LOVE to ALL! ❤✌
How did you know exactly what we needed when we, ourselves, didn’t? You are a gift Foo Fighters!
my heart is broken, Love an RIP Taylor.i cant believe it yet.
For a follow-up they should do "Jive Talkin'" with Taylor on lead vocals.
Now that would be great!!
You hit a homerun with this one!
YES PLZ !!
No I think Dave Grohl would do a better job than Taylor Hawkins
@@abelmontalvo4052 Dave isn't half bad. I will admit I LMAO just thinking about him hitting those really high "Bee Gees" notes! But ... He did it!!! 🎤🎶🎵🎸👏😂
Everyone did a GREAT job but GD did those backing singers nail the feeling of the original or what?!♥
Who were they? Anybody know?
@@davidwesson9277 That middle singer is a total mood, all on her own..
@@MSG66 I wondered if it was Beth Cohen, who is a backup singer for Barry Gibb.
@@davidwesson9277 That would make total sense! I hope it is true..
@@davidwesson9277 Beth Cohen has blonde hair. I don’t think it’s her
Taylor is a great singer and a great drummer, still miss him always will..RIP Taylor
I really like these Dee Gees productions. A great way to introduce newer generations to the brilliance of the Bee Gees.
Foo fighters is the best band I swear
no, beatles is lol
Say whatever you want about the Beatles but they made a major impact in pop culture!
@Survival Horror if it wasnt for The Beatles, The Foo Fighters wouldn't exist. They influenced pretty much everyone in the music industry. Even if you didn't like their music, their impact is solid proof that they're not overrated.
@Ice Cube Care to clarify and qualify that statement?
Bee Gees are right up there the Beatles and solo Paul McCartney in song writing and hits. I love the Bees Gees. They too have had a significant cultural impact. Now that I have been introduced to the Foo Fighters through the Dee Gees, I've listened to some of their songs. Gotta say I am loving them!!!! I will make them my favorite rock band!
Miss you, Taylor! 😓 He sounded a lot like Andy on this song! I loved Andy as a young girl.❤️
Hello, how are you doing today? Nice meeting you here.
Fantastic story. Did they play any songs from One by One? That album came out eight months later. It is a seminal favorite of mine.
Wow!!! What a great story of fate honouring you. Hope you have been given lots of opportunities to pass similar generosity on to others.
I can’t imagine how sad you must feel today.
@@allymayful I'm heartbroken. I personally lost my grandmother last week. I remember meeting Taylor - he was so nice to me. 💔 It has not been a great couple of weeks, and my heart breaks for all the people he was closest to. A friend of mine just told me yesterday that he met Taylor also - same story, a really nice, and really cool person.
@@averial9831 Feeling for you!!! Australia has been in a state of shock this week because we lost one of our most well known sportsman, Shane Warne, a cricketer, a fortnight ago. He was only 52. Way too young for both of these guys. Although the way this world is going at the moment maybe we should be envious. :(
I can't stop watching this. Such a huge loss. RIP Taylor, you will be missed.
Hello, how are you doing today? Nice meeting you here.
Holy crap, Taylor sounds just like Andy Gibb here…😭😭😭😭 A double loss of two very talented men….
Taylor…….I know you’re making the best music with all the greats now,
We love you so much ❤️❤️
R.I.P. ✨✨✨✨✨
And someone said disco killed rock and roll!...
Such a beautiful tribute to music this Dee Gees experience...
Lots of 😘😘😘 from Brazil!
Hello, how are you doing today? Nice meeting you here.
Oh sheesh , this makes me cry. Andy was such a talent. So sad the pressure was more than he could take. Thanks Dee Gees.
Hello Heidi, how are you doing and how is the weather with you
Smokin Brother - all the nuance and finesse of Neil and just a beautiful deliverance- great drum sound - this song is one of the best ever 😊
Rest in peace beautiful man, such a talent. Soo young!. Thanks for the amazing music you leave behind. Heartbroken for his family and friends.
Shocking day!! 😭 💔🙏
Hello, how are you doing today? Nice meeting you here.
😭😭makes me cry he sings so good and a song from a guy that lived such a tragic life and died too soon and now he is also gone way too soon :(
I knew he could sing but this was something else. Miss you Taylor
Respect to Taylor, respect to the Bee Gees, respect to Andy Gibb. Thank you for the music.
taylor’s voice gave me the chills i’ve heard him sing queen but never anything like this incredible. rip legends never die.
When the world lost Andy Gibb part of my childhood died my dad got me this record from valentines day one year and I used to dance around the living room.

This is so amazing, Taylor’s vocals on this were perfect & then Dave’s background vocals….great. Oh Taylor 😞😞 you r so missed. Still don’t believe this.
Hello, how are you doing today? Nice meeting you here.
Thanks ❤
I absolutely love Taylor's smooth vocals on this track!
I can't get over how every part of this song, the music's production, video production and the entire band are perfect. Watched it 5 times in a row.
How apt Tylor sings this one, as he is Andy Gibb to Dave's Barry.
First time I've been able to listen to this, since Taylor has passed. You will never be forgotten Taylor ❤️ ♥️ 💖
Just on the Tube and this comes up. No words. Just tears and that gut wrenching feeling when I heard the news that Taylor had passed. RIP Taylor, wherever you are.
I have listened to this at least 100 times since Taylor passed. It really makes you realize what a great voice he had! Dude had such charisma and stage presence. What a loss. Rest easy Taylor.
We miss the hell out of you, Taylor. ❤
I JUST discovered that this actually happened. Man they nailed it. And Taylor's vocals are beautiful. I wonder what Pat, back when he was with The Germs, would have said if you told him, "Hey man, in 40 years you're gonna be doing the Bee Gees."
Shout out to the last surviving brother Barry Gibb
Yes indeed! Man's a genius.
It breaks my heart every time I think about this... Especially when you consider he's the oldest brother. 🥺
RIP Taylor. I heard the news and came straight to this video. Rock on forever ❤️😭
I cannot believe that I'm listening to this just having heard the sad news about Taylor Hawkins. Super talented and a really nice man. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends.
I adore how you guys honor the Bee Gees and Andy Gibb. Love this one!!
Rest in peace dear Taylor.
So well done, guys! Great lead vocal!
I love when Taylor sings
Let’s be honest! We all love Taylor Hawkins!
I love when that female blonde singer wiggles, if she's 18+.
Same
Me too me too!!
Got to love the singing drummer in the band founded by a singing drummer.
As much as I "think" I hate disco music. I can't help the way the foo fighters play it. You can't help but love it. The girls also bring out the total greatness. Great video. Much love from Wheeling West Virginia.
I was given a thumb drive with 500 disco hits about 20 years ago. Changed my musical thinking. Now when the disco section comes up on my permanent playlist, I ride ride slippidy slide!!!
I totally agree!!!😁
Anyone who doesn’t see the spirit of disco as letting go and capturing a moment by being present in it has lost their soul and is a miserable human being. Period
@@GET2222 AMEN !!!
My all time number 1 band, The Bee Gees, covered by another top fave band. Doesn’t get much better!
My very 1st crush at 5 or 6, Andy Gibb, i got this album for Christmas and drove my 2 older brothers crazy with it.
Taylor you are so missed. I put my earphones in and close my eyes and im 5 or 6 again. Thank you. Rock In Peace. ❤
Rest in peace, Taylor. Awesome vocals here. We will miss you forever.
Damn, the Fighters are just killing it. Taylor's vocals make this cover. Rock on gentlemen. Oh yes and the ladies.
