Now I want to hear Barry Gibb cover Everlong to provide symmetry.
ahhhahha
I just got chills YES
Hahaha!!! Love this idea!
Brilliant
Or Jimmy Fallon needs to do a cover of the foo fighters covering the bee gees.
The Deatles next please
Nah
Followed by AC/DG (AG/DG)
Beadgles
The Bottles
The Deach Boys
Dave grohl is the Barry gibb we didn't expect but totally deserved
Dave Allways said he wanted to have a voice like Freddie's, but I guess Barry's is a good compromise
But do we really deserve this level of greatness
Are we sure that isn't Taylor ?
Dave's got the vocals for sure, but in the key art it's definitely Chris who looks most like a Bee Gee. Shiflett as he looks in the "video" could easily have fit in no problem with the Gibbs back in the 70s and no one would be any the wiser.
I love it!!!!!
At this point FF should work on the next Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack.
Yeeaahh😉
This will probably be on it.
I was thinking this would work well on guardians of the galaxy
YESSSS
Yep!!!
The Genius of Foo Fighters right there, Not only do have the balls to pull it.... They are probably the only rock band that could pull it off
What a joke
Having enjoyed the first run of The Bee Gees in the 70s-80s I love this rendition. A band who is able to connect with them and many other artists of the past, respect the songs and do it well. I just wish there was a video that was decent then and now lol.
Yes indeed - Balls - that is DEFINITELY what this is about - and I love it! N - yeah - they fucking nailed this whole Dee Gees things A L L D A Y L O N G ......Enjoy!!!
Foo Fighters a decade from now will move to Hair Metal and after that goes back to Grunge to complete the cycle.
I look forward to the Glam/Hair Metal era of Foo Fighters.
And I look forward to the progressive era
That would be epic. The pee gees doing all poison covers!
@@josihd6918 the foo fighters releasing a 20+ minute thematic prog song would be the weirdest thing ever.
HAHAHAH HOW TRUE !!! GREAT CONCEPT !
RIP Taylor. You guys did great things for music.
DISCO IS NOT DEAD. DISCO IS LIFE.
I just don't think there's any genre the FF's couldn't play and not sound fantastic.
Get ready all you Estonian Polka fans.....
Weird Al collab???
All the Polka fans live in Prague Oklahoma. Trust me, I grew up there 🙄lol
Oleme valmis!
Nah, this is crap
Kaera-Jaan sobiks paremini, sest polka on siiski Tšehhi rahvatants
Who’s ready to get out and get down?!
I’m very old. I can get down I just can’t get up! 😂
The Grohling Stones, anyone?
This band is epic. Let’s remember they’re a heavy rock band, and listen to the variety of stuff they can turn their hands to. Just fantastic talented musicians. They may take the music very seriously, but I love how they take themselves so light-heartedly
Well said. Nothing they can't do....absolutely nothing
Grohl loves groove and funk. He admits he stole a lot of the drum riffs for Nirvana from 80s funk bands like The Gap Band and Cameo
Very talented
Yes, their being self-deprecating has always been a positive. Just look at their videos for "Big Me" and "Learn to Fly", and one can see how they don't take themselves too seriously. As far as being able to play anything, that's very true. Their cover of "Baker Street" is amazing! 😎
And they proudly reveal their respect for all types of music and musicians - love them for it.
As a Bee Gee Fan, you guys did a FANTASTIC tribute to the Brothers Gibb, including Andy. Thank you!!!
They really managed to make the Bee Gees sound manly.
Pretty incredible...
Seriously, they’ve been nailing these covers. My lady friend’s favorite movie is “Saturday Night Fever” so she’s been having a blast listening to them.
@@dertythegrower What!?, No one ever doubted the Gibb brothers were men. Lol. Women went wild over all of them. They were the hunks of the 70s. Barry was soooo sexy.
@@tonihagan8438 So true. And Andy Gibb was even more of a sex symbol than his brothers. As a teenage boy of that era, that used to really make me and my friends, all of us in our Kiss Army t-shirts, really really mad. LOL.
@@melprophet1936 True that!
Foo fighters is a band that you can enjoy listening to when they are enjoying themselves and playing whatever they like to play and never sound out of place.
Foo Fighters are commies....
@@frankreckenberg8785 Get out of here with that bull sh*t.
@@dj011392 Look it up…….had to have the jab before you were allowed into their concert only to cancel……commies!
You're totally right!!!!
They been doing it for a long time. Love these guys
The only reason to dislike is because FF’s didn’t do the whole collection of Bee Gees. I need more!!
Must be. How can you dislike this otherwise?
I’m embarrassed to say I just realized that they’re called the Dee Gees because of Dave’s initials -duh!
oh.... i think i'm too now hahahaha
Me too
Don’t be embarrassed. I just learned that from your post 😂
OMG ME TOO
@Zack Darce Ummm, thanks Zack.
It seems like a bad joke, BUT it sounds AWESOME!!
Got an official thumbs up from Barry online ...
I know, right.
Agreed. I may die in New Orleans at Jazzfest if they pull this out :)
first part of your coment whas great...they sound great its because sounds exactly like bee gees but with a hang over.
Man they NAIL this stuff. So cool.
Our generation is becoming nostalgic. Born in '76 I'm loving it.
I can't lie...I was expecting a train wreck of epic proportions, ala "Dee Snider Does Broadway". Instead, I'm in awe. The Foos are having far too much fun, and obviously love the music...and it's infectious.
The Bee Gees were no joke back in the day .
No joke even now, either. Everyone took the piss out of them but they were amazing songwriters and musicians.
Their music still fantastic after all these years..Anyone else remember the dances moves for this track?🤣🤣
@@JF-kv1gmvery talented musicians the bee gees and foo fighters covers just terrific!!!
Still not a joke!!! They obviously admire the BeeGees cuz there are a few covers on UA-cam.
@@lkbarrett39 They did an EP called the Dee Gees, with 4 of their songs. The recent Bee Gee documentary motivated it.
Taylor owns that 70's vibe in this pic.
Pfft, forget Taylor, check out my man Pat Smear back there looking like he's ready to shoot a porno on a reel to reel lol
@@rainier4258 they all look fresh asf except Nate
@@rainier4258 I think they ALL look awesome. That was the look back then. And guys looked 🔥 too. Or ... We thought they did 😆

This is very hard to listen to after hearing the passing of Taylor. RIP Taylor. I hope you are having a great time up there.
Do you know how frinking amazing this band is?!? I grew up in the 70's loving The Bee Gees and this is a perfect cover!! Much love!!
I want to hear your stories from the 70s. I bet you had such a cool life. I'm 31 almost 32 (born in 1990), I love the 90s, but 70s is my second favorite. Please tell me your favorite stories from the 70s :)
@@JLKDOOM I remember going and seeing Star Wars in the theaters when it was released. I remember skating to this and other disco hits at the skating rink. I remember when lava lamps and black light posters were the coolest thing. I remember getting swats in school. I remember rotary phones and party lines. I remember consol TVs and 8 track tapes, giant cars and leaded gas. Shit I'm old lol.
@@darrenlewis1629 I had a lot of those things too, like lava lamp, blacklight posters, I heard about the party lines from my parents (they were born in 71'). I actually have an 8track and cassette collection, as well as VHS and laser disk collection as well. Seeing star wars when it was first released must have been AMAZING though. I'm pretty jealous!
I believe the best cover ever ...
Me too!❤❤❤
The Foo Fighters may have single handily resurrected Disco.
The Bee Gees are not Disco! They are a Funk group.
@@Zayphar agreed. But those songs were on the Saturday Night Fever soundtrack to the movie which boosted the discotheque. The Bee Gees have so many songs before and after and they hated to be labelled for just the disco era
Those bastards...!
You should listen to Dua Lipas “Future Nostalgia”. The whole album is basically disco and dance.
@@BETTER.ART. That more sounds like an argument to not listen to it.
I came here expecting a sad joke…I’m sorry, but this is friggin awesome.
No reason to be sorry! Just enjoy!
We never know what’s going to mature our knowledge of good music. The FF know how to educate us.
I feel it's a tribute to the BGs to finally get the recognition they deserve.
What do you mean ...finally?
True. They are incredibly underrated and don’t get the credit they deserve
@@alexjones7043
That's simply not true, they had a very long and extremely successful career with two or three comeback phases, it just was a while ago, that's all.
And these covers are pretty pointless and boring in my opinion.
@@DerEchteBold you don’t like the bee gees. Cool. I wish you had not shared it with me.
@@alexjones7043
What?
I very much like the Bee Gees, so much should've been obvious.
It's these covers that aren't really good, I mean technically they are, but the modern production lacks all the mojo something like this should have.
OH MY POLYESTER DREAMS THIS IS GLORIOUS
I remember roller skating to this song in the 70s! Trying to be cool and impress all the girls with their Farrah hair,, short shorts (them and me) haha and tube socks....man, the simple times. Thanks Dee Gees for the trip back to the skating rink! Gotta love FF's
Sounds great! 🕺
Ah, the roller rink! As much a part of the 70s experience as pinball machines, drive-in movies and bell bottom pants. God, I miss those days!! Everybody was Kung Fu fighting . . . . . .
How about the pet rocks, leisure suits, and Flex shampoo to go with the Farrah hair?
@@SonOfLancereto68 Same here! 😆 Roller skating was a big part of my life as well as drive in movies, short shorts. ... I went into a salon and specifically asked for the Farrah haircut!!! We thought we were so 😎!!
@@sturgisbaby9050 Good times!! Our parents used to take us to Mexico for our haircuts. It was only $3 for two boy's cuts. If we would have asked for the "Phara", we would have both come back to the states looking like King Tut!!😂😂
My son thought I was joking when I played You Should Be Dancing for him earlier today. Then, he was shocked. I love it, personally, and I hope it helps introduce these songs to a whole new group of listeners.
Exactly. I think that was the whole point, besides having some fun !
I'm 32 and my mom would blast this when picking me up from the bus stop in grade school. So glad it's coming back. Now only if someone would resurrect my dad's music and cover James Gang or ZZ top
@Devil Shark Clever comment. It certainly did that for me.
I knew of Dave Grohl, but Shadow Dancing certainly introduced me to Taylor, and what a treat to discover their amazing friendship with each other, and the way they love to honour and promote the general music world. 2 beautiful men!!!
Absolutely mind blowing to loose one of these precious men just after l have learnt to value them.
Rest in Peace Tyler Hawkins
History's greatest cover band!
You guys are fucking awesome. I'm 52 yrs old and grew up in the hair band days and consider you as one of the greatest bands of all time. Your sense of humor is obvious in everything you do. It's great to see that you don't take yourselves too seriously. But what I think sets you apart from every other group is your obvious appreciation for all types of music when you pay tribute to other artists during your shows as well as bringing other artists on stage to perform. You are in a class all your own
Well put brother. I just picked up Dream Widow on Record store Day in November and man Dave did a hell of a job on this album. He is one of the most talented musicians of our Proud Generation X.
I would also have 2agree with everything u both said! Im 51 if Im not mistaken (11/13/71). Am I the only one that has to think about it? LOL I love all their covers! Have A Cigar&Bourbon Street are great ones too! RIP Taylor Hawkins!
I’m visualizing Dave Grohl singing in this falsetto as a goof…. Then it becomes a thing. These guys can cover anything and make it sound good!
I once was doing a john anderson impression way too well to straight tequila night until eventually I was able to not laugh and end up doing the whole song. Straight tequila night he had this jack Nicholson southern Nasal melodic thing that hilarious
He actually told the story, they wanted to do a cover of an older song, they picked them, don't remember what song, but when they finished they said, oh damn that was actually great, so they recorded the entire album
Now Barry Gibb needs to make an album of Foo Fighters classic material. Start with "Everlong". Fair is fair!....lol.
This is absolutely WONDERFUL
They took gold and turned it into diamonds. RIP TAYLOR.
this up and coming cover band has potential
Hopefully they'll successfully make the transition to doing some originals 🤔

I was 13 in 1970. Rock chick very into The Stones in HS but loved most music. Allmans, SD, Aerosmith, Zep, JT etc. Never got into disco. I was singing most nights or going out to see live rock. I got into the Foos after the first cd dropped. It blew me completely away! Freakin X-Static. Stayed a Foo fan for years raising 3 kids. Just not really into BGs. But love thr band.

Disco disco, good good
Maybe not, but Rock n' Roll, on the other end...
"And who are you supposed to be, the Disco Plumber?" 😂 such a good movie!
Hell YESSSSS! This was my jam as a kid!! I had a Bee Gees lunchbox in 4th grade!😂💞
Having been a kid during the Bee Gee's era I have always loved their music. This is absolutely fabulous! It makes me smile and the world I live in a greater place. Quite often cover tunes suck, but not this or any of these Dee Gees songs. They shine just as bright as the originals, but in a slightly different way. Dave Grohl has so much talent, but so does every other band member.
Agree 100%, loved BeeGees in the 70s-80s, Foo Fighters today. I love they can cover and respect artists of their past as well as cover and not slaughter their songs. I just wish there was a cool retro video to go with it.

Nobody but Dave and the Foo Fighters could pull off something like this. Outstanding!
Soaring disco anthem of the 70's given a most respectful treatment. The Bee Gees will keep on getting rediscovered and played till the end of time. Well done Dave 👍😉
Love this not only does it pay respect to bands of yesterday but I shows who the real musicians are today. To the Band of Foo you guys make the world that more bearable.
This is actually not bad. Takes guts to cover the BeeGees.
Did a lot of dancing to this in my 20s… (yes, I’m old)!! Thanks for bringing back great memories, and honoring a great band! Love you guys - ALL of your music!!
I wonder if Dave standing on a plane like that is a call back to Learn To Fly.
Imagine the Dee Gees as the musical guest on the Barry Gibb talk show on SNL, so meta it would implode . . .
I see this happening with Jimmy Fallon
Hi Rob🙋♀️
Dave we grew up on the same stuff, 70s pop, punk, metal and The Bee Gees. First it was the amazing cover of Baker Street, then Band on the Run was a mic drop. Then, for encore The Bee Gees. I always want to cover all of these and Dave\Foo pulled it off. You are a true 70s baby my friend. Thank you. And thank you for the first Foo album. That one got me out the funk too…the best.
All of these song that they have put out came just in time for my birthday, nice gift. :)
Love this and the respect to The Bee Gees!!! Robin and Maurice are dancing in heaven!!!
Robin can't dance. He tries and looks adorable, but....no. 😂 google it sometime.
I love older brands experimenting and having fun.
This is wonderful! I feel like I'm back in the 70's again!
