Great video. I have a few fuller loads for my brewery layout. I don't think breweries crush the glass to a powder but rather just load the car with broken bottles and let them crush and break as more bottles are added. For a brewery load a more coarse material would work.
Awesome idea for an older open top hopper (HT) & yeah small layout ideal industry. By me our glass recycling uses old 3 bay covered hoppers (LO) in beat up condition no more than 2 cars at a time. Great video
Sure it would. All you need is a recycling facility or just a interchange track. For instance you can model off layout shipping facilities or off layout receiving facilities and bring the cars off and on your layout via the interchange track. You could also have the cars in a run through freight train that is just passing through on the way from point A to point B.
