You fall in love with a Chinese guy… now you need to learn his language because you respect him so much. Talking to myself 😂 Your videos are so useful and helpful ❤
Ooofff! That was a load off my mind, I mean not only your clarifying video but your to the point "title" for this video which lead me to pick it up and watch. Thanks a bunch ❤❤❤
Thank you For realising me that Chinese is not for me to learn... I still don't know... From where to start? So my question is... I have to learn all the radicals and characters to make up a word? Then what's the use of that bo po mo fo?
Hi Ritu, bopomofo is the phonetic system. It's how you learn to pronounce Chinese properly. It would help to learn the easiest characters first, a few simple common words, and then build up from there! I like learning song lyrics, for example, because you need repetition to learn, and music makes repetition more fun :)

I think modern chinese people call their mother ma , while older generations used to call their mother niang. Also, ig ancient Chinese called their mother formally as muqin.
Hi Yamin. Good question. The first way that you wrote is the Simplified version of the character that people in China use, the second way that you wrote is the Traditional character, used by people in Taiwan and Hong Kong (and sometimes Malaysia and Singapore). Chinese used to always be written in the Traditional way, but during the Cultural Revolution, China changed their writing system, simplifying it and removing many strokes. Taiwan and Hong Kong, which did not go through the communist Cultural Revolution, retained the traditional way of writing.
Hi @@gawkgawkgyatt This is true, to an extent (see this video: ua-cam.com/video/MJwm2hFMgKM/v-deo.html) but both 妈 and 媽 are pronounced "ma." The difference is in the way they are written. See comment above for clarification :)
@@SingandLearnChinese are you kidding? The China mainland start using simplified Chinese in 1956,and the Cultural Revolution start in 1966.What is the relationship between them?

I thought mother was written like this 妈.
But in this video,is 媽. What is the difference?
