The thing the last man was talking about- the women that believe they're pregnant, is an actual thing. They don't actually get pregnant but their bodies do mimic some symptoms. If you listen closely that's what he's saying as well.
But I don't believe the whole "it's real if you believe it" he said at first. It's a hallucination or a type of hysteria at best, considering the explanation he was about to make. Which only means that the believer believes, not that it is an objective fact. Not that these things exist "for some people". Would never test it out though.

The most prevalent superstitions that I had in my household, well whole community in a way was not cross first if a black cat crosses the road (nice for blackmailing superstitious people) second was if you somehow headbutted another person's head (normally, not full WWE style), you _had_ to tap your head with theirs again or else you'll grow out horns (again, very nice trick to mess with superstitious people) Lastly would be that if your leg hit another person's leg or if it touched anything paper related, you _have_ to do the symbol Christians do but only half (touching the forehead/lips then the point where your neck meets your torso) because it's considered bad in the first case and also because paper is correlated to Saraswati, the god of Knowledge and Music (sports are excluded in this somehow :P) Those three were and still are the most famous ones here I guess (maybe the cat one is not that famous anymore) and pretty good ways to mess with your friends/family if they're brought up in here (wow I really wrote all of that)

Eid is fun where I come from (Cairo, Egypt) ! we go out and dress up in new clothes, children get Eid money, there are Eid carnival rides, people go to the beaches and every hangout around town is extra during Eid. You are also expected to visit your relatives and eat Eid cookies at every house until you are blue in the face :D
fun fact: there's something called a phantom pregnancy, look it up. It's a thing in psychology so the Latin American guy wasn't wrong. Phantom pregnancy basically means the person will have pregnancy-related symptoms but not an actual pregnancy.
Honestly, I agree with Hassan. Idk, as an Indian Muslim, there's not much of a festival aspect to Eid here in America as compared to India. I live in New York and the most I do is just go pray at the mosque on 96, go out with the family to Jackson Heights (which is like brown Chinatown) eat at some restaurant and then just chill with some friends. There's no real "cultural festivities" or "spirit" like with Christmas. But then again America had like a good three centuries to develop the Christmas/Hannukah spirit. I guess it just falls down to us to develop Eid as a holiday for future generations.
so like i came from a country with majority of muslims and we make eid and ramadhan national holidays. 6-4 days before eid and about 5-6 days after would be national holidays. during the fasting month, official services and offices are closed an hour earlier because everyone needs to be somewhere during iftaar. we also have suhoor parties on the roads where to help sustain food manufacturers and seller people would just hang out before dawn to suhoor driving around and eat from whatever place is open. the ramadhan is something very distinct and everyone is joyful. my cousins grew up in the midwests and they shocked at how we would have the entire month of ramadhan as something very festive
Nah he meant what he was saying. If a woman really thinks she is pregnant or really wants to get pregnant, her body can start showing pregnancy symptoms including a growing belly. It’s hysterical pregnancy or phantom pregnancy.
He's actually referring to a condition called pseudocyesis, which is very rare and often misattributed to psychological causes (i.e. the woman or man believing they are pregnant). One of the known causes is cancer. Others are physical changes due to trauma/depression. Men will have phantom pregnancies along with their partner's very real pregnancy. A lot of resources that I've encountered don't consider whether the woman/man actually wants to be pregnant and just assumes that they wanted a child so bad that their body made up a pregnancy. Its just easier for people to assume all traditionally female problems are psychosomatic though so... "That's not how it works! I don't think you know how pregnancy works, dog." Well said Hasan!!
As an Arab our Eid is like we dress up really good and visit all of our aunts and uncles like ALL of our relatives and then we eat lunch and it’s the elders go around giving money to everyone it’s amazing and there HAS to be this sweet called Omani Halwa it just sweetens your day I miss Eid now
We can have a very fun Eid here in Malaysia. We even celebrate it for the whole month. We have open houses, we give money in packets to children, we eat our traditional food which normally won't be eaten during normal day, we visit relatives and friends, we wear new dresses for a month. We capitalize Eid big here.
I'd debate that the most Indian thing would be to remember the two holy songs, Vicco turmeric and washing powder Nirma by heart, and like referring to every instant noodles as just "maggi" at home (except Patanjali, they _suck)_ I mean again it's too intrinsic to us so idk how common it is to everyone else outside India

Me too! It’s like a conversation instead of an audience and performer type show. He’s so natural and cool 😭 I can’t believe I didn’t know about this guy before today! I’m binge watching all his episodes rn

Dude had a good point about the supernatural appearing real if you believe it though. Our brains are good at making connections. We recognize faces even where there aren't any. We are prone to seeing things out of the corner of our eyes. Combine that with a little faith and you can easily convince yourself that your beliefs are justified.
What a great, informative, genuine and humble show! The set is creative, top notch graphics and you are just a natural at this, Hasan! No one would be able to do this as well as you do.
Plus these intimate conversations with the audience are just awesome!

You can pass gifts on Eid. You can do whatever! Milk and dates is symbolic, a gift.
In Morocco, it's totally different since we get a holiday and celebrate like three days before and after. Crazy times lol

I went to school across from a cemetery. We had mad djinn stories. We avoided like a good 1/3 of the school field even in the middle of the day.
When I was little we were told if we misbehaved Jinn Babba would get us. It sorta worked on me but my kids aren't buying it for a second. They are more scared of penny-wise.
How to get over a question?? Ask to the one who questioned it - hasan's tips
Hasan was highkey really trying to get other people to say they're scared of ghosts and superstitions too at first 😂😭
The most prevalent superstitions that I had in my household, well whole community in a way was not cross first if a black cat crosses the road (nice for blackmailing superstitious people)
second was if you somehow headbutted another person's head (normally, not full WWE style), you _had_ to tap your head with theirs again or else you'll grow out horns (again, very nice trick to mess with superstitious people)
Lastly would be that if your leg hit another person's leg or if it touched anything paper related, you _have_ to do the symbol Christians do but only half (touching the forehead/lips then the point where your neck meets your torso) because it's considered bad in the first case and also because paper is correlated to Saraswati, the god of Knowledge and Music (sports are excluded in this somehow :P)
Those three were and still are the most famous ones here I guess (maybe the cat one is not that famous anymore) and pretty good ways to mess with your friends/family if they're brought up in here
(wow I really wrote all of that)
10:44 the quickest reverse card from Hasan! LMAO.
"Hasan is mispronouncing this word" should also have been up for Bougainvillea.

Plants perform photosynthesis when there's light, it involves photolysis of water which causes oxygen to be evolved. They respire normally, emitting CO2 as well but it is less dominant than oxygen evolved during photosynthesis. But in the absence of light, at night, only large amounts of CO2 is emitted because of normal respiration and the absence of photosynthesis.

Clearly Hasan hasn't heard of Jewish Christmas: Chinese food and a movie.
You can do it, bro! I believe in you.
(Also, how do I pronounce your name. It looks so interesting. "A-wa-is'"? Sounds like it is spelt?)

so like i came from a country with majority of muslims and we make eid and ramadhan national holidays.
I think he was gonna say that a woman could think she has pregnancy symptoms so she would THINK she was pregnant 😂
Favorite deep cuts 🖤
Lol yeah I think he was talking about hysterical pregnancies, which I’m sure Hasan knows about but he probably wanted to cut it off soon.
Hassan is my role model for public speaking!

Dude we have like 8 to 10 days off here in Bangladesh lol. My deepest condolences to all of you muslims out there who has work on Eid.
We can have a very fun Eid here in Malaysia. We even celebrate it for the whole month.
