  • Adam Drake from Mugen Seiki Racing shows you how to measure your clutch to get the maximum performance.
    The measurement of 23.4mm will work for Protek, Tekno, Associated, and TLR 4 shoe clutch sets.

    Adam, do you always replace the aluminum and carbon shoes together? Last time I replaced my shoes the Carbon was at 23.6 and the aluminium was at 24.1. I debated changing only the carbon. ultimately I changed all of them but I saved the old shoes.

    My flywheel came loose and I can't get the clutch bell screw out because it just turns the motor over. Any idk what to do to solve this delema lol.

      You can use a large zip tie to lock the piston in place.

    Great video. Got a quick question. On my buggy, I run a 3 shoe clutch (all aluminum) would you change the clutch bell alone with the worn out shoes?

    • @AdamDrake
      @AdamDrake  4 роки тому +1

      With all aluminum, it's best to change the bell and shoes together.

      All four aluminum with all gold or two gold and two green springs.

    So is that basically 1mm of wear? How about the O.S. Clutch?

    • @AdamDrake
      @AdamDrake  4 роки тому +1

      Yes, that's correct. You can run it more, but this is what I've found for the best performance. The OS clutch is also 1mm or wear for the best performance.
