Reminds me of the Christmas dinners we had when I was a kid. Most of my family has passed on now but two of my brothers and one sister and some cousins try to keep the family traditions alive. It’s just not the same without the old ones. Cherish your family now because one day they won’t be there. Bless you all !! ✝️💝🇮🇹🇺🇸
John Veglio sorry for your loss it's so hard I too lost so many and nothing is ever the same when I lost my mom right after my father I felt and feel like I got gutted out holidays are so very hard yes treasure your family when you have them God bless you ❤️🎄🙏
Try to remember that our older relatives felt the same way about the holidays, how they "weren't the same without _________"....but they kept it going for us, the younger generations. It means so much and don't ever forget it.
My Dad used to whistle to himself little like that while he was working on something, it used to drive my Mom a little crazy but we all wish we could hear it again. Thank you Pasquale...
Love watching your videos. My grandfather, whom I lived with growing up in New Jersey in the 60's and 70's was Italian. Baccala was one of the dishes he used to make and Spaghetti and meatballs every Sunday. Man, I miss those times. Thanks for sharing your talents and opening your kitchen.
Mia Nonna would put baccala in red sauce with onion and pepper every Christmas. Her parents were from Ateleta, Abruzzo. Her batter for the fried baccala was thicker and crispy. She made 2-inch-square noodles for the sauce and served the fried fish on the side. Meraviglioso! Thank you for your great culinary videos. You are greatly appreciated.
Chef Pasquale should have his own family show whereby his amazing, deliciously tasty recipes are created for all to watch & follow! Loving all you do Pasquale keep it going!
We make the stew with the tomatoes and also deep fry into nuggets. And, yes, this is a tradition for us. I never had it with peppers; We make it with the tomatoes, of course, and with cut up potatoes and black greek olives. And, we eat lots and lots of bread with the stew. My Father and Mother always called it a stew. Later in the evening, we would have the fried baccala and smelts. And, my Father, made his own sausage. Those were the best of times, now they are in Heaven, making the saseegia! Keep making this food for the Americana. God Bless!
yummyyyy! The authentic Italian cooking. I love baccala, my favorite fish dish.. it's very Mediteranean from Portugal, Spain all the way to the Adreatic coast of Italy and Croatia and the Greek aegean coast they all have their version of bacalao and a lot of south American countries too have their version.. Eveyone knows bacalao because it's just that good and tasty!
@@doggitSHILOH it would not be the same on food network. It's too restricted. I enjoy watching him in his home, mistakes and all. All the family, etc. He doesn't need the food network, he HAS his own show.
